  1. Thanks Stilkdog it's much appreciated!
  2. If anyone would like to update any emulators you need to update the profile in GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS\IMPORT-EXPORT and then 7zip up the contents of the emulator's folder at its root (ie. It should not be in a subfolder in the .7z file). Just keep the .7z filename the same and update the "Version" value in the profile. To locate the latest version of an emulator paste the "WebsiteUrl" into your browser. Let me know if you're interested and I can organize to get them onto the servers.
  3. Contrats Draco
  4. My collection of logos are included in the GameEx distribution. You should be able to find them in Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\Default - Default\MEDIA\LOGOS

    LCD Pluging

What is probably happening is that it's using colors.ini to light the buttons based on the original button colors. I think there is an option to turn that off.
  6. This is where you setup the built in zinc options (see attached image)
  7. I don't believe GameEx has XInput support which is needed for some extra buttons on the XBox 360 controller. Perhaps that's what he means?
  8. Happy Birthday Adultery hope you have a good one
  9. It's not an option in the Setup Wizard. You have to run the GameEx installer again. Don't worry your settings will be safe.
  10. You might want to try setting the eBook reader to normal quality.
  11. Thanks mate will chat more about it soon.. and a Merry Christmas to you too
  12. GameEx doesn't use the Adobe PDF viewer it uses Ghostscript. Run the GameExSetup.exe again and select it from the list to install it.
  13. Sean contacted me recently about a new Airwolf cab he's uploaded http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=4294ca2f5cf19bf7738ed07e82347266&prevstart=0 He states "Perhaps this model will pose less problems for you during the conversion process. If we discover that these models convert over better, I may go back through my entire collection (over 300 models) and re-upload every one of them. Using the new uploading process my model which would have uploaded to a 4 mb size file was shrunk down to about 1000kb." I am really busy at the moment finishing up an iPhone game with Flash, so if someone can find the time to convert this and if all goes well we can see if he will be kind anough to re-upload them all. I have converted 210 models already and it would be alot easier if these are a single button press to convert (rather than hours of breaking them down and editing textures)
  14. Just run setup again and select it from the installer. It should not mess with any current settings.
  15. According to the hiscore patch thread MKChamp just re-uploaded the 140u2 patch so I would give that a try.
  16. Few things you may want to try 1. Download Process Explorer and check GameEx's CPU usage while running MAME. May need to alt-tab between it and Process Explorer. 2. Try running GameEx in windowed mode and see if it yields any performance difference when launching MAME. 3. Download Process Monitor and filter GameEx.exe. What is GameEx doing while you're running a game? 4. Not sure what you mean by "defragging my page file". Just run the standard Disk Defragger (you can right click on your C: drive in Explorer and select Properties->Tools->Defragment Now). Note you defrag a disk not a file. Also I couldn't see what video card you have in that log file. What video card do you have? If it's onboard I would seriously consider getting a card. Onboard video cards share RAM. It is much better to use a video card with dedicated RAM. I understand these things popped up after an update so they may not be the issue. But the first two points may help Tom track down any introduced problem.
  17. There is also the GameBase Amiga collection.
  18. Best way to find a new feature is to use the Setup Wizard's search feature.
  19. Uninstall all codecs & codec packs and install the Vista Codec Pack
  20. It depends on how the touchscreen interacts with your PC. You can pretty much do anything from command line so that would be the way to do it (LaunchBefore/LaunchAfter). Eg. I found this on the Web for a Wacom touchscreen. This enables and disables the Wacom service. You can view your services by select Start->Run type in "services.msc" --StopTouch.bat-- net stop "wacom touch service" --StartTouch.bat-- net start "wacom touch service" If it's a particular driver you need to disable/enable you can use devcon.exe. For more info go here. To view your drivers select Start->Run type in "devmgmt.msc".
  21. I'm sure Tom will have this fixed soon so probably best to wait for an update rather than attempt to fix it manually.

    Mame Trouble

Make sure you read the section for Older Versions of MAME The "Dual Core" setting just compiles using extra threads so it's quicker. It doesn't have anything to do with the processor you have (except you should probably only use it if you have a dual core processor).
  23. Glad you got it working You need a 'hi' folder and hiscore.dat file in the root of your MAME folder. Check here for more info http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=64298.0

    Theme Editor

It used to work using an option called "Custom Module Layouts" but that was removed a few updates ago. Can't remember why?
  25. Best thing to do is delete the MAME source files and start again. Just to be sure download the hiscore diff again too.
