I can give it a try headkaze. I'm getting a copy of tinyxp as we speak. So will let you know and see what we can come up with. Will try to get to it this weekend.
Glad you found a solution. I guess that's how we all learn by messing around with settings till we get it. I know it drives me crazy when something is not working the way I want that I try everything to get it going. Have fun!
Yup skip_gameinfo would have been my guess as well. Still say there is something you have wrong with your joystick configuration. How did you map your keys for your controller? Also tell me a game that does this so I can check it out on my end for you without having to search for one that does. LOL.
I have a xarcade controller as well and I'm able to skip that screen with left to right. Are you sure you have the correct settings for your controller through MAME? Also I'll look again if there was a command to skip that.
Here's the dat that I know of for this set. I have the set but haven't had time to try the emulator yet. Hope this is what you were looking for. Viva_Nonno_v22.0.3.zip
LOL. Especially to those like Nologic, Headkaze, Brian, of course Tom, and among others who i see have to constantly repeat themselves. But even though they repeat this is a great community with lots of help. I pop in just to see what's new. LOL.
No worries Tom. I figured it out! It was an app that I had just installed that was conflicting. Just erased the app and problem solved. GameEx is first priority. LOL. Thanks! Now the kids can play the cab today and show off my new frontend.
LOL. Now you tell me headkaze. Was all excited to show my brother and his kids and go figure something went wrong. Oh well. He'll just have to see tomorrow.
Did anyone else have a problem with updating? My brother just showed up and I wanted to show him my system and GameEx updated (weird cuz didn't ask me this time) then finished. Now GameEx won't run. Guess I'm gonna have to reinstall?
I'm glad things like this get bumped up! I guess I need to read past posts to see what's going on. LOL. Too lazy I guess. But awesome idea! Can't wait to see it implemented into GameEx. Keep up the good work guys!
Found this interesting for you who had this problem. I don't have a light gun setup so not sure if it helps. Found it in the new version of mameui. Input device options -------------------- -[no]dual_lightgun / -[no]dual Controls whether or not MAME attempts to track two lightguns connected at the same time. This option requires -lightgun. This option is a hack for supporting older dual lightgun setups. If you have multiple lightguns connected, you will probably just need to enable -mouse and configure each lightgun independently. The default is OFF (-nodual_lightgun).
Yeah, that was one of the things I was worried about when I first set up my emulators. Then found that option and was excited. Not that I have set up that many emulators YET! LOL.
Glad to hear you're running. I go nuts when I have something not working right. I kill myself just trying to figure it out. But the community is great here and lots of smart people to help you out. Happy gaming!
I can't get it going either Brian. Maybe cuz my roms have the extension .j64????? Cuz it doesn't load straight into it. Off the open menu i notice that it's asking for a .jag file. Virtual Jaguar works however. Just need to go through the config and setup. You might wanna try that Perfect_Form
