Well as far as fun and trying not to sound like a teenager again but had fun just chatting with you all yesterday. LOL. It was nice to be able to chat. When I first started at the forum here I would check the GameEx Chat to see if anyone was ever there. Gave up as I noticed I was the only one who ever was. LOL.

Well if you're just gonna rebuild your set to No-Intro then no need to mess with UnGoodMerge. Just rebuild your set and then create map files for the Regions that you want. I'll help you with the map files. No-Intro dats for clrmame pro can be found here. After you rebuild I'll get you going to creating a map for your regions.

Yeah! The way to go cuz your set doesn't match no-intro's which is why you would get that message.

Make sure the emulator points to your rom path as well. Not just in gameex.

Rebuild if you wanna keep your current set intact. Or just fix the set you have to match the no-intro dat and just fill in what you need and delete what you don't.

Do you use care about all the bad dumps and hacks? If not I suggest rebuilding your roms based off a No-Intro dat. Many others will agree. Or if not willing to do that I suggest using UnGoodMerge found in the goodtools forum. This tool will filter out your roms the way you're looking for. Probably the easiest way to go.

Make a dat based off your romset and I'll take a look.

Can use a regular expression to extract what you need from the dat to make your map file. What is your romset based off of? No-intro, Goodtools, etc....?

That or make a map file based off your set that you have. I'm not sure what set the included map files are made for. So creating your own map based off your set would be the way I would go instead of moving all your files around. I like to keep my roms in the same folder for easier management and updates.

I'm sure there's a way to write a script to launch each game with the correct region. Would just take some digging into. How are your games labeled? Can maybe tell the script to use the correct region for USA, JAPAN, etc.... based off the name of the game.

I'll try to hide it now and reup a revised version. Only thing I knew I couldn't hide was the window that selects the game since it doesn't have hide option but maybe will think of a way since I'm just learning to script. But thanks for the compliment Lucas. I also liked having just the one file and not the need for links.

Made this script to make vivanonno more cab friendly. It simulates the keystrokes needed to select the correct game based off the command line parameters. It works on all resolutions since it uses keystrokes instead of mouse clicks. Example: vivanonno_wrapper [rom] Hope you enjoy! I don't either. I just wrote it cuz I was bored and learning to script and I've seen it in the forum lately. LOL.

Since NoLogic's Zinc Wrapper is no longer available I decided to write my own to make the known games run by their name instead of their number. What other options would be recommended to add in this wrapper? Any suggestions are appreciated so that I can add to it.

Nevermind All. It stopped working for VivaNonno for me because I pointed to the new Map file instead of the one I created. The Map file in the New MAP FILES Directory was incorrect. It reads like this. Ridge Racer (Japan-A)|Ridge Racer (Japan-A) Ridge Racer 2 (Japan-A)|Ridge Racer 2 (Japan-A) Ridge Racer 2 (Japan-|Ridge Racer 2 (Japan- Rave Racer (Japan-A)|Rave Racer (Japan-A) Rave Racer (Japan-|Rave Racer (Japan- Rave Racer (World-|Rave Racer (World- Now I know why it was trying to launch the real name instead of the rom name according to the known dat. Sorry! Should have looked into the map file to begin with. Thought it was a bug. LOL. Although still a bug in Setup Wizard. But know headkaze will fix that soon.
