  1. Attached No, I'm still on Version 1703 build 15063.674 log.txt
  2. Here is the log and I've attached the config. If I don't launch before, PBX runs fine. If I launch dmdext from a command window and then launch PBX all is OK. Nothing is jumping out at me on why this is happening? 5:08:25.9 10/20/2017: PinballX - Version 2.42 15:08:25.9 10/20/2017: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (15.9GB) 15:08:25.9 10/20/2017: Loading Settings 15:08:25.9 10/20/2017: Initialize Component 15:08:25.9 10/20/2017: Initialize Display 15:08:27.0 10/20/2017: Loading PlugIns 15:08:27.6 10/20/2017: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 15:08:27.6 10/20/2017: Created DirectX DMD Window 15:08:27.7 10/20/2017: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz 15:08:27.7 10/20/2017: GPU 1: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 15:08:27.7 10/20/2017: Displays: 2 15:08:27.7 10/20/2017: Load Game List 15:08:27.7 10/20/2017: Loading Database: Pinball FX3 15:08:27.7 10/20/2017: Loading Database: Future Pinball 15:08:27.7 10/20/2017: Finding and matching artwork and videos 15:08:27.9 10/20/2017: Loading Game Statistics and Scores 15:08:28.6 10/20/2017: Loading Surfaces 15:08:28.7 10/20/2017: Finished Loading Surfaces 15:08:28.7 10/20/2017: Initialize Audio 15:08:28.7 10/20/2017: Set Keyboard Controls 15:08:28.7 10/20/2017: Initialize Joystick 15:08:28.8 10/20/2017: Auto configure Visual Pinball 15:08:28.8 10/20/2017: No Joysticks Attached 15:08:28.8 10/20/2017: Started 15:08:32.3 10/20/2017: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 15:08:32.3 10/20/2017: Main display running full screen windowed. 15:08:41.7 10/20/2017: Launch System 15:08:41.7 10/20/2017: Waiting for threads 15:08:41.7 10/20/2017: Disposing display 15:08:42.7 10/20/2017: D:\dmdext.exe mirror --source=pinballfx3 --no-virtual <--PBX hangs here. 3. CloudHead over at vpforums has some interesting results regarding video hardware acceleration. http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=38853#entry390457
  4. Thanks, I will check out after work tomorrow.
  5. Hey Outhere, can you be more specific? I'm not sure where that is located?
  6. Many thanks! Vielen Dank!
  7. Sweet! Shamelessly scarfed Did you buy Alien and Bethesda packs?, hint, hint.... LOL
  8. Ahhhh ok. We just go to single player mode. That is understandable.
  9. I tried Hotseat last night and I was playing against myself. That was on my cab. I haven't tried it on my laptop yet.
  10. Also thanks! I bought the Aliens pack and the one with Doom. Doom was awesome first time played! Universal pack next week. Now to figure out why my pinDMDv3 is not talking? Not a PBX problem.
  11. Thanks Fulltilt. It was a path problem. I had: 9/29/2017: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pinball FX3\steam.exe -applaunch 442120 "-table_"MARVEL_Ant-Man" I must have changed it jacking the settings around. I re-pointed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam and I can launch tables now. Out to the garage to rebuild my cab top.....
  12. Good thing I subscribed
  13. Tables show loading and then go back to the wheel menu. I'm still getting: 9/29/2017: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pinball FX3\steam.exe -applaunch 442120 "-table_"MARVEL_Ant-Man" 17:04:25.5 9/29/2017: The system cannot find the file specified 17:04:25.5 9/29/2017: at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) 17:04:25.5 9/29/2017: at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() 17:04:25.5 9/29/2017: at PinballX.Main.q() Can someone post their log file who HAS FX3 working?
  14. Huge change as far as graphics and different types of gameplay. Now has experience points to upgrade every table including FX2 tables. You can try the new tables in trial mode and hold off bringing all your FX2 tables over. A few won't transfer due to licensing. The FX2 tables can be played either in FX2 or FX3. FX3 has bugs but will only get better in time. If it was me choosing I would go with FX3.
  15. FX3 should be in the latest release https://github.com/freezy/dmd-extensions/releases
  16. Freezy sent me a new dmdext-69.zip dmdext-69.exe mirror -s pinballfx3 He tested and it works great. Not sure if he posted it yet? Anyone interested in trying out can PM me your email and I will forward to you.
  17. Freezy just emailed me. He didn't know FX3 existed! Will look at it when he gets a chance.
  18. Roger that. I'll post over in github.
  19. Good point! It is probably hard coded. I could load the C# source inside my Visual Studio but Zen may have completely rewritten the DMD code, among a ton of other things? We'll have to let Freezy know. I'll post over at vpforums.
  20. That sucks. I have a V3 but the TV is out of my cab because I am doing upgrades this weekend so I can't check mine. Are you pointing to the FX3 executable? Just checking
  21. My cab is in rehab currently so I just downloaded 2.41 on one of my laptops. I cannot get PBX to launch tables either. They do launch in Steam. Part of my log file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pinball FX3\steam.exe -applaunch 442120 "-table_MARVEL_IronMan" 15:17:04.4 9/28/2017: The system cannot find the file specified 15:17:04.4 9/28/2017: at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) 15:17:04.4 9/28/2017: at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() 15:17:04.4 9/28/2017: at PinballX.Main.q() log.txt Pinball FX3.xml PinballX.ini

    FX3 CAB support

Damn, bad week to pull my cab TV! Changing my TV mounting around, building a new lock down frame, playing with some new sensors for Pinscape inside MJRs C++ code, wiring up some Ford starter solenoids and doing button lighting. Gonna have some fun when we I put it back together EDIT: Just tried it on my Alienware laptop (GTX1060) and 28" monitor. REALLY nice interface and the FX2 tables look great. Lots of new features. Gonna have to spring for some FX3 tables. I think all my tables came over except one football?
  23. Problem I had with my Sears router is the 1/2" x 3/16" rabbet bit I had wouldn't fit through the center whole of the bottom plate. So I took it off and the router wasn't terribly stable with the bottom plate missing. Wandered so I make some crooked cuts. So, I bit the bullet today and ordered a Dewalt dado throat plate and 8" stacked dado set. Next weekends project
  24. I actually like TPA but I'm a casual player and wouldn't know good from bad physics if it bit me in the....With that said, FP is definitely inferior to VP and others but I still love to play Slam's tables now and then. I'm not investing any more time or money in PBA. I'll occasionally play the tables I bought but that's about it. I'll get the VP versions for ones I didn't purchase. My future money is with Zaccaria and FX2 - EDIT: and 3! Gonna buy Pinball Pro eventually. I love FX2 graphics but my true love is still old EM tables because that is what I played as a kid in the 60's and 70's. An embarrassing amount of dimes were spent Well, back to my cab construction in the AM because I built a poplar top (instead of a metal lock down bar and metal side rails because I have a lot of left over wood from our basement finishing) and completely hosed it trying to do a rabbet for the playfield glass after I constructed the frame. Stupid Craftsman router! (and some operator error I gotta admit). Gonna do the rabbets on my table saw this time on each piece before I assemble. A local place outside of Cincinnati is doing my 3/16" tempered glass 21x38" for $45.00. Not too bad. Man, it is Florida hot in OH this week. 90's and 70 dew points.
  25. I read awhile back they licensed to Arcooda. Frankly, I wouldn't want to slop up my play field glass swiping for tables. Makes sense on a tablet or phone but not on my cab.
