  1. I'm glad you got something to work, this is something I've been wondering for awhile now... So I'll have to run threw your thread a little slower next time around and give it a try.
  2. Was a busy week, so the theme got put on the side burner, I'll try and get this all up this week.
  3. The pic is in the themes.
  4. I have six of them just laying around the house, where can I ship it. I put that under the same thing as using needle-nose pliers to remove the bolts from my tires of my car when I rotate them. Sure it will probably work in the end, but my hands gonna be in a hella-lot of pain and a few unnecessary blisters.
  5. Thanks for the feedback. but kacey* is right, feedback and comments are what you need to get better. Hence what you see on this thread is a "preview" and not a final version. I only get better because I take criticism from people I respect (people here and other place). My first theme (ConfluencePORT) was a complete rip off a skin from XBMC(which I noted). But saying to yourself "That is awesome, how can I do that and make it my own" is how I got anywhere in here and in my career. "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."
  6. Stick a fork in me I'm.... well you know the rest. They can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/li7ib4d94f2iglx/9kjHuiTU_f I give permission for anyone else to use these, just throw me some credit. The custom theme for these will be released soon as well.
  7. Well they are in a bunch, but that's cause i just finished running in this hella-hot city weather haha.... I'm just very big on censorship, especally on the internet. It's one thing to say "this is how you steal 'A'" to having a conversation about morality. Up until a year ago I owned maybe 30% of the software on my computer. But when I started getting freelance worked, I would instuct the client that they would have to purchase said software before I would release the final product. Now I have a career and can honestly say 100% of my software on my computers are paided and legal, including GameEX, I can now afford to support developers small and large from literally the techniques I learned when I couldn't support them. I will end this here though, since I pushed this thread way off course...
  8. Draco I was not condoning piracy, I was just giving my account. Adobe had publicly gone out and said (I'm paraphrasing) that they will not go after individual pirates. As long as the product is not being used for commercial usage. They don't condone it, and are not going to make it easy, but they know my story happens thousands of times over. I can't buy photoshop when I'm 13, so I find other means of obtaining it. Then when I have a career/job and "hey, I need a photo editing program, well I know photoshop like the back of my hand." now I own the master suite for myself and we have 15 seats of Adobe Master Suite on a renewing contract.. That warning was uncalled for, I never said to go pirate, where to pirate, you should pirate. I think where allowed to talk openly about "ourselves" here… I'd hope, if not, it's not worth sticking around.
  9. Yea if it's on photoshop I can tell ya, never really tried GIMP. TEXT REMOVED
  10. just did a quick google search for "glass effect in gimp" and came across InstaGlass
  11. Alright so "my" list is complete. I still need to take a look at the added ones and get to those next week, but here is my list, below is a contact sheet of them so you can see them all in one shot. Just hit the "Spoiler" Button. Also here is the link to the single files: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1qbnbl1yot90ijc/A0juppl2qd Have a good weekend everyone.
  12. New update fixed my issue, thanks... Still don't have MAWS but that's been like that for some time, probably on my end somewhere.
  13. Good to hear (that sounded bad) I just meant, at least it's not me, that's pretty common haha.
  14. I noticed in some of my MAME menus that I'm missing whole list's of games. Most menus seem to be fine BUT: MAME Vector Games - shows all 2876 games Horizontal Games - shows "-NO GAMES FOUND-" Vertical Games - shows "-NO GAMES FOUND-" Live - MAWS Hall of Fame - shows "-NO GAMES FOUND-" My roms are updated with clrmamepro to 0.146 I have audited my games using MAMEUI64 and have updated my list inside of GameEX which was updated yesterday I believe. I don't know when this started so it's nothing specific with yesterday's update. Any ideas?
  15. I think I can add on handheld, Never was a big screen handheld player, but I can spit them out. Nintendo DS, Nintendo Gameboy Color Nintendo Gameboy Advance Wonderswan Sega Game Gear Neo-Geo Pocket Color. I was looking at IGN's top 25 consoles should I add: 3DO Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Atari Jaguar Colecovision Intellivision TurboGrafx-16 Xbox ??
  16. Playstation is on my list, it's one of the last ones I'm doing, just haven't got to yet. Also there was a folder in that dropbox labeled "v2" where the current renders where being sent to, so If you didn't go diving threw there you wouldn't of saw the updated outputs(I've updated the link). But Console Games is in there.
  17. I just wanted to give one last heads up, I should be finishing up with these this weekend and will be packaging them with the new theme. If there is anything you think I missed and would like in there let me know now. Take a look at the list at the beginning of this thread and let me know. New theme should be out later next week.
  18. I thought about this, but as I angle them towards the camera it hides the three-dimensional feel to the scene. Right now they all sit on the X-axis.
  19. Alright so I started putting the finishing touches on my new Theme "aRefraction". I'm not ready to upload it to the server but I thought I'd post some screenshots, get some reactions, criticisums and feedback. Thanks everyone. These include the new 3D logos I've been working on, I will release those in a seperate pack for others to use along with this Theme.
  20. I'd be happy to give you the 3D file for these, my only guideline is that I have to remove the custom lights and textures that I used. These are items that a friend sells online, so I can't just be handing them out. But I can do some recreation with the standard Cinema 4D lights and textures. 98% of the models are re creations of trademarked designes anyway, so I have no issue passing those out.
  21. I actually looked into it a little more and I'm just not a fan of it. What I put in the most work for these was lighting and procedural textures. directX looks for jpeg texture, and seems to destroy my lighting (very plain/even lighting) Maybe theres more I can do with it, I don't know, but I'd rather just export movies or tiff sequences, then I can control the look to exactly how I want it. But this would be a cool Idea if it could be done correctly.
  22. If there is a 3d file I can export that GameEX will understand, I'm on it, so if someone can fill me in on how the 3D cabnets are done, I'll see what I can do.
  23. Cinema 4D is a great 3D program to learn and has much less of a learning curve then 3Ds Max or Maya. Maxon give free 42 day trials I believe on there site. Also greyscalegorilla.com is a great place to learn. But also I facilitate a local group and we post all our meetings and tutorials online, you can check them out at www.chicagoc4d.com and www.youtube.com/user/ChicagoC4D/featured Thanks for the feedback.
  24. Here's a very early ALPHA of the THEME to go with the new Logos. I don't know where I'm going with this yet, but should look good. Also if you haven't taken a look at the updated 3D logos, they are pretty close to being done. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1qbnbl1yot90ijc/A0juppl2qd
  25. You just reminded me of a site I use ALL THE TIME for designing. It's called Color Jack. http://mudcu.be/sphere/ It's literally a web based color wheel that shows you what colors go together, collide, neutral, compliment, ect... This should be opened up first for every theme designer.
