  1. Very nice. Welcome to the forums.
  2. I was messing with you. The link that you posted (and subsequently by myself) was also posted by steveb right before you. I didn't notice yesterday that your posts were 1 minute apart. Obviously the two of you were posting at the same time.
  3. If that doesn't work you could try this.
  4. You need to figure out how to run a game from the command line or a bat file, and then use the command in GameEx. Sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to figure things out, so you will have to decide if it is worth the time to get it going. My guess would be HD-Frontend.exe "RomName" or HD-Frontend.exe "RomName\RomPath"
  5. Path issues are difficult for us to diagnose since we can't be sure they are correct. Note to self: Have users verify setup in the Setup Wizard to diagnose path issues.
  6. Correcting myself again. The ctrlr is set to use 1 OR the combination F AND X.
  7. Correction: The ctrlr file is only affecting P! start, and it includes 1 AND X <port type="START1"> <newseq type="standard">KEYCODE_1 OR KEYCODE_F KEYCODE_X</newseq> </port>I don't know what is going on with your system. If the the only thing in your cfg folder is the default.cfg and you are not using a ctrlr file, it should work. :-(
  8. Make sure that you are not using the ctrlr file, as those are set to 1 and 2. Maybe just move it out of the ctrlr folder.
  9. According to your default.cfg your P1 Start is 4, and your P2 start is X <port type="P1_START"> <newseq type="standard"> KEYCODE_4 </newseq> </port> <port type="P2_START"> <newseq type="standard"> KEYCODE_X </newseq> </port>Is your default.cfg write protected? You should be able to set these from the mame input settings menu, but you can also make the changes directly to the default.cfg and then save it.
  10. Are you using a ctrlr file? Post your Mame\cfg\default.cfg file.
  11. Yep, I like them!
  12. What is your setting for 'Snap Best Match'?
  13. Happy Birthday Mike!
  14. Yes. If you hover over the .exe the version will show up in a tooltip. Assuming that is what you did, your Mame version is 0.145. To make things even more complicated, for all of your games to work, your rom set version needs to match your Mame version. If you don't know what version your roms are, then you can use tools like ClearMamePro, or Rom Center to audit and fix your roms. Make a backup of your roms before using either tool. Hopefully that will be enough information to get you started. Google is your friend if you need help with either of the rom tools mentioned.
  15. What makes you think that the OP is even talking about Mame?
  16. There is a new downloads tab at the top of the forum. It might be best to upload it there.
  17. In case you didn't know, when using Shark codecs on a 64bit system you need to install the 32bit codecs first and then the 64bit codecs. You should uninstall all other codecs first.
  18. Posting the solution for others to see in the future would be helpful.
  19. I panic when I can't login to GameEx. So relieved.
  20. There is an option for it, 'Quick Startup Resume'.
  21. You might need to use an advanced config to watch for additional processes. I don't know anything about Blue Stacks, but I suspect this because of the name of the app that you are using - 'HD-StartLauncher.exe'
  22. You will need to update your list if you change directories for Mame.
  23. If you are trying to find out what roms are missing artwork, Perfect Match can do that and more.
  24. I'm hoping that you noticed that you have been missed. :-)
  25. To clarify, It is 'Update List' while running GameEx. You also have to have the option for 'Update List' enabled in the setup wizard.
