You can exit back to GameEx, but AFAIK you will not be able to return to the game in the manner in which you are describing.

They make special penetrating oil for rusty parts. I googled a bit and PB Blaster seems to be a favorite. This looks like a good read for you Draco - I've been using white lithium grease in a spray can for lubrication. I think that is better than WD40. What are your thoughts?

If a logo is not found anywhere else, GameEx uses the logos in the default - default theme.

Most of us know that PacMan is a clone of Pucman. If you live in the U.S. or some other English speaking country, you have probably already added pacman to your 'Do Not Filter' list. (Actually GameEx comes preconfigured this way.) Mame Clone Thingy makes it easy to determine if there are clones that you would rather run instead of their parent. When the program is run, the check boxes are pre-selected along with the 'best guess' of which clone to use. I say best guess because IMHO pacman is the best clone for puckman, however, there is no information in the description that would indicate that is true. Check the selections over and make any changes that suit your needs. If you uncheck a box, that item will be skipped over. When you are satisfied, click 'Do it!' and the DoNotFilterROMS and ExcludedMAMERoms in your GameEx.ini will be updated. Update your list, and you should be good to go. Possible issue: The existing entries in your GameEx.ini are added to, and not over written. If you have already added games to either DoNotFilterROMS or ExcludedMAMERoms they will still be there. OTOH, it is possible that a game in your existing Excluded list may be added to Do Not Filter list, and vice-versa. I'm not sure what GameEx would do if that happens. I may fix this later. It's just that Draco asked you to post relevant files, and you didn't. We are not very good at guessing, so we really do need to see your files. I would say to use an advanced config to watch for additional processes that are launched.

I would like to point out that Draco is not the only admin on the forum. In addition to that, the admins and Tom like to discuss changes such as have been proposed before making a decision. Often times the opinions of the mods are considered as well. I just wanted to make it clear that there are discussions to be had before changes are made, and if your request is not honored, that Draco would not be solely responsible, and therefore could not be held responsible. Edit: It would appear that Draco and I were posting at the same time.

The best version of Mame to use is the version that matches your rom set.

I would assume that the OP is running an older version of Mame. Capone1212 - are you using a full version of XP, or a stripped down version?

You need to use the path and filename instead of [ROM]. [Rom] is a GameEx variable, which would be empty in your example.

There is a pdf file in the Marquee Magician download that should get you started on uding Marquee Magician. I fyou get hung up, let me know. Displaying images while in the gameslist is not, and will not be supported. The reason is that it created issues with stealing focus from GameEx.

After re-reading the first post, I see that the OP's issue is entirely different from what I tried. I'm saying that ExcludedMameRoms excludes the rom from the Mame Game list in 13.05, but not in 13.10. Can anybody verify this?
