  1. Ah, that did it! Thank you for that. It's surprising what an extra "-" can do
  2. Hi All, Can anyone give me a working command line for emulating Philips CD-I in MESS? I've tried various combinations, but nothing works so far. Thanks, Steve
  3. Resolved! I was about to post my config when I noticed my command line contained "-r". Out of curiosity, I removed this, and now Broken Sword 2 works perfectly, along with all my other PS1 games. I have no idea what -r means, but if anyone else has a similar problem, try removing it!
  4. Hi All, I'm using the newest version of Gameex and am having a problem with PSx emulator. Most of my PS1 games work fine, but for some reason Broken Sword 2 hangs after the copyright screen disappears. This is strange, because if I open it directly through the PSx emulator without Gameex being open, it loads up and works fine. Does anyone know how to get round this problem please?
  5. Hi. Does anyone know if any of the Gameex compatible C64 emulators can save a game state INCLUDING the button mapping? For example, a game may require F7 to start it. I can map a button to F7, but I only need this button mapped for a particular game. Other games may require 1 or Enter or J (for Joystick) to start. Is there a way to save each of the games with their own unique control mapping? It's easy to do for Spectrum using Spectaculator, but C64 emulators don't seem quite so user friendly.
  6. Hi All Hopefully an easy one... Since upgrading to Gameex 13.13, when I start a MAME game I have to manually move the joystick to get past the general black and white text rom details that MAME shows. In my old registered version it used to automatically bypass these. It also means the screensaver never gets past these screens. Is this because I'm yet to register the new version of Gameex? I'm planning on doing that as soon as I can afford it.

    Nebula problem

Hi, I'm not using any batch process. Even when I just open the emulator normally, choose a rom and select play, I still get this. I thought it must be a standard launch process for Nebula. It's the most recent version I'm using 225b, if that helps?

    Nebula problem

Whenever I start a game in Nebula (Neo Geo emulator), it loads, but then I get a dos-like window appear saying Echo is ON, goes on to give a few details about the game I am loading (rompath etc) and then says Paused, press any key to continue. My cabinet is now set up so I only have joystick input, and it won't accept anything on the joystick, so I'm having to pull out my USB keyboard each time I play a game to press a key to continue. Has anyone else had this issue, or knows how to correct it? The same thing happens if I run a game through the emulator separately, without Gameex being open, so I know it's not a Gameex fault. Thanks
  9. Don't worry, I've found the answer on another topic. For anyone interested... http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/9911-resolved-meka-will-not-start-up-in-fullscreen-mode/
  10. Sorry, I was talking about MEKA, not KEGA. I've updated my original post above.
  11. UPDATED POST... I previously mentioned Kega, when I actually meant MEKA... Does anyone know how to configure Meka / Mekaw (http://www.smspower.org/meka/) to start fullscreen? I've ticked the box in the emulators options to switch to fullscreen when a rom is opened, and this works when I open a rom directly from the emulator. However, when opened through Gameex, it always opens in a small window within the standard Mekaw screen with the picture of the console, joypad layout etc around it. I couldn't see a command line option to rectify this. I really want to use Kega for my Master System emulation, as it's the only emulator I can find that runs the BIOS version of Alex Kidd in Miracle World. Thanks
  12. Yep, that did it. I completely deleted MAME32 from my computer (leaving only the roms, titles, cabinets etc), and reinstalled it from scratch. This solved the problem. Thank you.
  13. Thanks for trying. Anyone else know anything about this problem? It's driving me mad! Kind regards, Steve
  14. 4 and X are the keys I want to use (as they are connected to my start buttons on my machine). However, every game I start seems to have it's own set of "Controls (this game)" settings that includes all of my current key settings, but shows 1 and 2 as the start buttons. I can change the custom configurations for each game individually to 4 and X individually, and they stay. The general MAME control configurations DO say 4 and X when I press Tab and view them, but each game shows 1 and 2 when I look at their custom settings, until I change them individually for each game. It's as though each game has a custom .cfg set up, even though there's not. I've tried deleting everything in the .cfg folder and starting again, but the start buttons just don't seem to be picked up by my default.cfg.
  15. I don't think I'm using a CTRLR file, but I've attached the only thing in that folder, along with my default.cfg file. default.rar
