Tom, I truly hope I didn't offend you, I promise that was not my intention. I honestly don't know how things work, and I do these things mostly to educate myself, to help others, and when possible to help improve Gameex. Take care!

If you Create snaps that aren't available elsewhere, would you share them? Please?
-
Did you see my post right above yours? I got it fixed, but I am too embarrassed to say what the problem was. But If anybody needs help, I can help them.... Thanks for the offer!

I appreciate it, it makes me feel useful...

Here's my settings: UseDaphne=True DaphnePath=G:\Daphne DaphneExe=daphne.exe DaphneSnap=G:\Daphne\images DaphneOptions=vldp -fullscreen -x 800 -y 600 -nohwaccel Enabled_1 =True ROMName_1 =mach3 GameName_1 =Mach 3 GameOptions_1 =-framefile G:\Daphne\vldp\mach3\mach3.txt But as always, you have to get it running outside of GX first.

As usual, Brian's right! Open Xpadder, and click on the wrench on the left. (I mean right, in addition to everything else, I'm also cixelsyd) That will open a window, and on the far right is a tab for controllers. I only have one U360, and its shown there...Do you have 2 U360's in that Tab? Then click on the Xpadder icon on the left side of the xpadder window. That will bring up a menu, go to settings. In the controller settings window, click on the "sticks" Tab. On this tab, you will be able to enable, and configure your U360's Again, I don't have two U360's, but hopefully, that will help!

To Everyone here at the GX forums, Come to find out, I hadn't lost my U360, just my mind.... While working on the post that I made regarding GX updates, I was doing file comparisons between the last 3 versions of GX, and I caught the error that I had made. My apologies for being silly...I'm going to have to have my meds checked.... Thanks for trying to help, and for your patience!

Do you guys remember when I was off on a rant about Gameex Updates messing up my Ultrastik 360 cfg? I did the comparison today after the latest updates, here are the results: I can understand most of the Gameex.ini changes, as most of them deal with the new search function. However, There was one change that shouldn't have occurred: EMU_1_DBCACHELastName=[Console] Nintendo N64 CatFilter= ManuFilter= YearFilter= ROMName=galaga ROMName2=galaga SpecialFilter=FAV EMU_5_DBCACHELastName=[Console] Atari 2600 EMU_5_ControlPanelPath=E:\stella\snaps EMU_5_InstructionsPath=E:\stella\snaps EMU_2_DATABASE=[Console] Nintendo SNES GLaunchListSelected_30=1 GLaunchListTop_30=1 Was changed to: EMU_1_DBCACHELastName=[Console] Nintendo N64 CatFilter= ManuFilter= YearFilter= ROMName=galaga ROMName2=galaga SpecialFilter= EMU_5_DBCACHELastName=[Console] Atari 2600 EMU_5_ControlPanelPath=E:\stella\snaps EMU_5_InstructionsPath=E:\stella\snaps EMU_2_DATABASE=[Console] Nintendo SNES GLaunchListSelected_30=1 GLaunchListTop_30=1 Not bad, overall Tom did a pretty good job of maintaining my configuration. The PluginUltraStik.ini was change from this: # boxes showing you what joystick map the plugin is attempting to set. Within # the GameEx INI section make a setting of "debug=true". Please note, in # debug mode, your UltraStik(s) will not be programmed # [GameEx] #debug=true # Used for debugging. Exit=joy4way # Configuration for joystick(s) on exit of GameEx GameExit=joy4way # Configuration for joystick(s) on exit of a game but still within GameEx GUI [Mame] default=analog asteroid=joy2way # I prefer 2 way joystick rather than buttons astdelux=joy2way # I prefer 2 way joystick rather than buttons To This: # boxes showing you what joystick map the plugin is attempting to set. PITA! Not as bad as I had originally thought, and the bonus is while doing this I may have figured out what I messed up on my U360's! At any rate, I wasn't doing this to bust anybody's balls, It's just that there have been differing opinions in the past regarding what changes on an update, and what doesn't. I'm assuming that with this information, Tom will make a couple of changes to the update system, and make me stop doing this! I would also assume that this is information that is helpful, and if it is annoying, somebody will PM me, and ask me to stop.

yes You dont download the mame binary... Unless you have a patch for the EXE.. But sadly I cannot distribute them anymore. But by all means... Keep helping.. Your doing great ! EDIT: Besides the directions are somewhat misleading.. He suggests downloading the binary from mame dev... Probably because it also inclusde all needed subfolders... If you look closer he says to overwrite the downloaded EXE with the one you compilied.. Thus you really dont need that step.. Especially if you already have mame setup. Its probably mentiond for peeps seting up mame for the FIRST time. I wanted to make sure that everyone knew that the reason I'm still trying to help is because Brian gave me a "Mulligan" Thanks Brian!

Headkaze, It looks like I was mistaken when I said that I had got around the problem of mousecodes not displaying correctly. I did not try changing the player 3 controls, because the last time we talked I think we agreed that it would not fix this problem. Actually I'm almost certain that they were displaying correctly at one time.... I have zipped everything that I thought you would need to check this out. I don't expect a fix right away, but could you let me know if I'm doing something wrong, or if its a bug? Thanks! Tempest_CPW.zip

No, really, I'm not going to do this everyday, but surely members here might want this.. BurnAware allows you to easily perform the most common disc burning operations: write to all CD/DVD media types, including Blu-Ray (BD-R/BD-RE); create and burn disc images; write multi-session discs; verify the integrity of files; burn your compilations directly on optical media, without having to wait for hard drive staging first and much more. Its proprietary burning algorithm provides the highest level or fault-tolerance, error-free burning and data integrity.

If your talking about using CMP (and I think you are) I think it is best to rebuild to a new directory as well, the last I knew, CMP doesn't delete extraneous files, so rebulding to a new directory really cleans things up.

Disclaimer: I don't know much about what I'm about to say so this if off the record (It can't be used to break my winning streak!) I wouldn't know how you could get your "hooks" into it, but I think the easiest way to do something like this would be to use the Mame Cheats. Using Mr. Do as the example, The user would do a search for the value that changes between when the player has the ball, and when he doesn't. Then Name the cheat LEDWIZ. Here comes the fuzzy part... you monitor that cheat, and then have the LEDWiz do whatever the user defines to have happen. So if the cheat is looking for a 1 at address F5A2, you keep an Eye on that address (which I know doesn't really exist), and do your thing when it goes to 1. This is either genius, or idiocy...the bad part is I don't know which

I want to let you and Brian know that I appreciate your responses. I will be looking into this again next week, and either fix it, or get more details to post so people can better help me. I learned the hard way that moving the USB devices around (plugging them into different ports at random) can cause issues as well. The joystick works, just having some issues, and I need to play with it again to remind myself of what they were.

Thanks for the tip!

Thanks Brian...Happy Easter! -
Edit: I copied this from a website, This is not my work! I'm guessing the emoticon isn't in the original list! Looks like it should have been a "B".... I Would give a link to the site, but they have roms....

Coincidentally, I just used this for the first time last night. I would like to have it not read the history at all. So how about some checkboxes in the configuration to select options? Gamename History Other? This is starting to sound like a feature request....

First time I've seen this thread....It was before I started hanging out here. Pretty funny stuff...If I had been around, I would have added that I don't use the abbreviation, I call it "petey"

WOW! Thanks Tom, keep up the good work. Have a good Holiday!

Just giving it a "bump"

I have the power button on the computer in my cab set so that when I push it, the computer goes into standby. Whe I push it again, the computer comes out of standby, but Gameex is minimized. Any Ideas?

At least you didn't say you couldn't believe I got 4 in a row... Ya, I think the last time I asked you suggested that as my next project...I just recently got my roms together, so I will be working on it....I just checked, It looks like my roms are N64, I assume thats not the same as SNES. So many abbreveiations... I have NEStopia, and ZNES in my emulators folder, I must have been working on it at one time...As you know I've been in a bad mood lately, I guess I was taking a break. I will work on them next week!

I checked at that site I referred to before: http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/ It looks like there's options Config>video confiq to set different resolutions and fullscreen. If that doesn't make any sense, go there and select ZNES on the left side. The video config is about 1/3 of the way down...
