  1. Hi Everybody! As far as arcade gaming concerns, my arcade cabinet is all I ever dreamed, but when I play classic console games (like NES, SNES, SMS...) I don't feel like I'm playing at those consoles. I need the consoles' gamepad too! So, I use Xpadder plugin to control my cabinet: profile 1 - player 1 arcade side. profile 2 - player 2 arcade side profile 3 - coin slot (a hacked joystick connected to a coin slot) ... and here's my problem! I'm adding two usb ports below each player's controls so I can plug console gamepads. so I need to set 5 profiles for each classic emulator! profile 1 - player 1 arcade side. profile 2 - player 2 arcade side profile 3 - coin slot (a hacked joystick connected to a coin slot) profile 4 - player 1 gamepad (it mirrors profile 1 so you can still play if there's no gamepads plugged in)profile 5 - player 2 gamepad (it mirrors profile 2 so you can still play if there's no gamepads plugged in)And the xpadder plugin only has 4 slots for profiles... Any idea about how can I fix this little problem? Thanks!
  2. As most of the games on this highscore competition I never saw this one in arcades. It's a fun game, easy to play, hard to master, something like time pilot, IMHO Anyway, and although I bet you'll beat me in no time, here's my highscore: 61750
  3. I had some time to play some games, but this child of mine always screams when I start doing ANYTHING so I have to leave everything to confort him... smart little guy... I plugged and old coin counter to my arcade machine, and enabled only 20ct of euro coins so I'm using my arcade as a coin bank I have lots of coins to play, and I pay everything on the market trying to get as many 20ct coins as possible. More or less, a 20ct euro coin is close to a quarter long time to save some cash, but definitely it's the best way
  4. Hi there! I would love that feature too, so every time I play something it would be posted on facebook twitter integration would be great too, although I rarely use it, but if it's easier and I can make something post my tweets about gameex on facebook it would do the trick too...
  5. fun game, never played this one. now my fingers hurt... My first game had a score of 7500. my second one reached... 5750... after some more, I managed to score 49700, and so far it's my best try
  6. 19850 here
  7. here I comes.... never played this one, so I bet I'll be easy beatable 13.880
  8. oh boy, so it was SO hard to play ROFL too late to beat my own score. but for people playing the trackball romset, you can set analog X inc, dec and analog y inc, dec mapped to your joystick, then on the analog menu choose speed 15 to make it playable
  9. Hi there folks! New full time job and a newborn child makes me have almost out of time for my arcade (sigh!) I never found this game and I'm not bad. I'm worse... 13560...
  10. Hi everybody Although not related to gameex, maybe anybody has any clues about what's going on here... I'm rebuilding my arcade classics cab, and while I was looking for a 2.1 sound system, I just plugged some cheap speakers. Mame was ok and smooth, great graphics and sound. (mameui 0.148). sound latency 3, frequency 48000, display at 1024x768@60hz using direct3d with bilinear filtering. Now I got a subwoofer I could plug my old speakers in (the ones that I had previously on the same cabinet without any problems). I touched nothing at all, but with the new subwoofer connected I get hiccups and echos on the sound! The game's speed is ok, it's just a sound problem. I tried triplebuffer, sync refresh, and almost any option I could think about. I have no idea why just plugin new speakers cause this sound problem :? Any idea I could try? EDITED: solved. Just trying at random, but enabling autoframeskip, even as it's not skipping any frames at all, seemed to solve the problem... weeeeeird.
  11. I just voted for it too Most people that have a look at the pictures I publish of my cabinet all say the same... wow!
  12. I found the launch.bat on gameex' folder... 3 sleeps then gameex /quick. I'll have a look at adultery's app too About updates and annoying popups... I already set as hidden bandicam (always with a popup at startup) but there were notifications from nvidia and windows update. They were not showing any banner or popups, but just in case I'm fixing it now EDITED: looks like adultery's launcher has everything I could ever need I'm gonna use it right now :D
  13. I'll try that gameex Launch as it looks the most Clean way... Where's it?
  14. Hi there! I don't know what could be causing it, but sometimes when I switch on my cabinet (using windows 7) gameex starts minimized, and it's a pain in the... to open the cabinet, get the airmouse and struggle (as the OS is hidden and I only see the mouse pointer briefly). Weird thing is that sometimes it just launches full screen, no problem at all, and others it stays minimized... Any idea about it? If you know anything I could do on the run at startup command that I could use to force it get focus and maximize to full screen it would be great. I just don't know what can be causing it :?
  15. soon, our plan is to buy some bookcases, place them on the living room, move all our books there and place all my retro games collection on that room's shelves. a couple game&watch, gameboy, gameboycolor, gameboy advance sp, ds, 3ds, psp1000, nes, n64, n64 pikachu, playstation, psone, ps2, master system 2, genesis... and some board games from the 80s too and an old pong-style console from 1977. it'll be completed with some old collectibles too, involving some sesame street characters (the count, kermit, cookie monster...), manga/anime figures, a furby baby, furby and a new furby (not the newest one, I mean the one that look like a mogwai), a toy model of the uss enterprise (the newest model from the new movies)... ...and as the boy grew up, a niiiiiice nespresso coffe machine too ;D btw, the stools (I have 2)... I bought them directly from a pub
  16. My wife was tired of watching me playing with the greengold as it was near the living room door and she wasn't able to hear the tv... so we moved it to another room... I live on an old house, and almost everything has weird measures, not standard. So my doors are 70cm wide. Same as the greengold. Moving the cabinet involved building a small wheel board to carry them (that collapsed under the weight so it was useless and I had to push the cabinet all it's way), remove both doors (living room and room) struggle to make it pass through the living room, remove a wall cabinet from the other room and... getting stuck on the other room's door, as it was NOT 70cm wide. Just a bit smaller... It was a though decision, but finally I had to sand off 3-4 mm on each door's frame side with sandpaper until I made it wide enough, then push and pull to make the cabinet go trough the door, and... get stuck again as there was not enough place to push it completely inside the room. So I had to pull it off my way again to the corridor, remove *another* wall cabinet, even bigger than the other one, push it again and finally place it in his actual place. Then it was time to hang the bigger wall cabinet, fill it with all the books and games I had scattered around, fix the doors in place... and still I need to apply varnish to the door frame I sandusted! phew!
  17. You know, this is hard to explain if you never tried to build your own cabinet but... before the cabinet, all my attention was put on playing those games I remember from years ago, but now... well, the "playing games" is still there, but on the second row, if you know what I mean. What I find more entertaining right now is finding what else can I do TO the cabinet. Adding lights, light controllers, other programs that could be useful, other games that could be great to play on a cabinet... and the job is never done, I keep thinking about what else can I do
  18. This is a video I recorded BEFORE adjusting ledblinky. I finally disabled gameex' own led plugin as it wasn't loading my ledblinky's custom LWAX animations, and now I'm using CPWizard and Ledblinky. On my cabinet I'm using xpadder too, for button combos to exit games (I know I can do it with gameex, but xpadder is useful to set timer delays for those buttons... I don't want to exit any game randomly pressing buttons during intense gameplay ;D) and it also becomes useful to set the credits for each coin on my coin selector ;D For screenshots, I have bandicam installed saving the pictures to my google drive folder, so it's always ready and synced on all my computers I used to have fraps, but I like the clicking sound on bandicam to be sure the screenshot was saved ok For remote control of the computer, I also have teamviewer unattended remote client installed.
  19. yep, it was driving me mad!
  20. ok, some problems so far... I haven't tested for emulators other than mame, and for mame works fine. I want to customize lwax animations to my cab's buttons setup, and I made a few animations using ledblinky's lwax editor. If I use ledblinky's PACDRIVE layout, when I place the lwax files and try them on the lcd plugin... nothing. the animation won't run. If I use a general layout to create the animation... it doesn't work either. UPDATE: if I use the gameex highscore competition map, as it's setup as a different emulator (even being mame) the game's controls won't light up, not on the gameex menu, nor while in-game, it keeps the gameex interface ones as default. would it be possible to make it recognise it's just mame and light up the game's controls?
  21. I'm still waiting for paypal to approve my payment to ledblinky to create my own animations, but here it is
  22. Ok, update I found the problem. Silly me. That HAS to be something creating a keystroke or something. So I double checked what could be causing it. As I don't need all the usb controller connections, I have 2 cables with no use. One of them somehow found a ground and I had player 2 button 7 (not connected to anything) pressed. I isolated those cables and now it's fine solved, please close this thread of shame for me
  23. (the pasted text is just a part of the log) I tried disabling everything I was not using before noticing this problem. So I disabled cpwizard, and it was still crashing. then disabled cursor hide plugin, and still the same. Disabled led plugin... and still the same!I just don't know what's causing it. Even tried not firing the screensaver myself and let it alone for some minutes (set screensaver to run in 1 minute of inactivity) and it just won't run. it's like it's recognising some kind of activity but there's nothing :?log.txt
  24. Funny... it was working fine before. I just added my new pacdrive, ledblinky to create custom animations (which I wasn't able to make them work anyway), cpwizard to show a control panel like my own instead of gameex internal one... and nothing else. now I enabled the option to start screensaver, it starts, and after 10 seconds it quits back to gameex. I deleted that option and set the screensaver to run at 5 minutes. the screensaver didn't go off. Then I set the screensave to run at 1 minute... and after 10 minutes nothing happened. I just don't know what could be causing this???
  25. Well, I just received my pacdrive and after some wiring I had to try it If I set any animation on gameex events, when I change the selected item sometimes it won't go back to the gameex default setting. I mean, if my gameex setting is light up player1 start, player 2 start, pause button, player 1 buttons 1 and 2, and set any animation to run on gameex events, after the animation the lights keep displayed as the last frame of the animation, whatever state they were. Besides that, would it be any way to run the "say-what-the-buttons-does" animation when gameex' paused, and not only when mame's paused? And if running CPwizard, would it be any way to run that same option when the control panel is displayed through cpwizard?
