  1. * blows whistle + puts @RedDog in time out for breaking the rules.
  2. Hmmm... maybe Hans' observations were on the money. This is getting like playing board games at Christmas and it reaches the stage where everyone starts getting bored and the rules go out the window. lol Who's turn is it? Was that right? Who's the referree?
  3. Wow. these guys are in the uk! I did wonder how they were managing against the behemoth that is stern. go uk.
  4. Cool beans. Massive warehouse for 5 guys, mind..
  5. I'm such a terrible moderator. I don't even get round to reccommending my own apps!
  6. You got it right, hans! Mortal Kombat it is. However, youre also right. we shall await thegreeze's confirmation before you get the mantle...
  7. @Tom Speirs - OK - did some testing. All's good generally and with my plugin when you disable artwork downloader. Re-appears if re-instated. Thanks for isolating the problem. Let me know if you need anything else to help with tackling the downloader issue.
  8. @Evilforces - You can now run it from Repository Manager, too.
  9. V1.2.0 - "I'm having so much fun, I nearly wet 'em" edition. 1.2.0 Added feature to allow you to choose install folder for the CustomLists root Can also choose the image for the Root customlist Added picture viewer Added ability to change default icons Tightned up the browser at bottom left Cleaned up the CustomMenu.ini production. No more sloppy keys Added functioning URL facility. Now you choose from the html applicaitons setup in GameEx Setup Wizard. Changed code to enable config launch via Repository Manager (thanks headkaze) Also did some new vids, see 1st post for these. Big thanks to Headkaze for squashing a tiny bug I never would have found.
  10. Follow me..OK?..OK. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee Good shout! Now we're cooking OK next up: "Get over here!" (said in bold, too).
  11. Get in @the_greeze! Pulls it out the bag with "Beach Head" - 8 bit classic: "Medic!": Yer up fella
  12. Out of time this am. Pesky work. Yerp - fixed that the search bug, but some wierd behaviours with using MCE export in plugin. However, latter may be the plugin, although worked before. Will look at this pm.
  13. OK. So tested both with and without custom menus. On both: Search no longer does the glitchy thing - refreshes as usual. However, it's not returning any search results where it should (e.g. "Tekken" with lots of Tekken games in the library). On custom: The "Export to MCE" option (leveraged via plugin) still causes same bug. (the log reflects this run). Getting closer + thanks for looking at this, Tom. log.txt
  14. nawp... It's an early commodore 64 game published by US Gold which was basically a series of mini games...
  15. Nope. Still the same. Tried with the auto-update version, then with the individual exe file. I tried searching a game which is only on one system. Still same issue. Log attached. log.txt
  16. Funnily enough - right kinda genre. This was one of the first war-based arcade-play-style games i remember on this system.
  17. I'm still upset that no-one pulled me up on the worst nerd joke of 2016.
  18. S'pose that's the problem with one-worders.. yer gonna hear it in a few games. The one I was thinking of is from the 8-bit era, just when games started featuring "Speech Synthesis" (heh- even the term feels old-fashioned now!)
  19. 7.12.16 - 15.20 Don't get any prompt to download newest version. Did get newest yesterday, I think.
  20. Bizarrely, Tom, I've never 'reinstalled over the top' - I'm guessing you just download the installer and run - installing to the same location? Will I loose any files - I'm guessing only the GE files get overwritten. Weirdly - got 15Gb in my GE folder - taking a while to back up! No idea where the 15G is coming from!
  21. Cheers fella. Wondered whether it was centred around that.
  22. Including my great Aunt Mary and Dirk Digler? Sheesh.. I gotta brush up on my trivia... OK: "Mediiiiiiiccccc!"
  23. Think I'll save others' time and holler @Tom Speirs directly, although if anyone's got any ideas - let me know. Think this issue is GE hardcoding somewhere... So found a weird issue tonight whilst dev'ing my CustomLists plugin. It uses "Export to MCE" to refresh the favourites list after DATA>data.db3 has been manipulated by the plugin. This used to work fine. However, tonight, this was happening: Attached the corresponding log for this run. It's like it does the operation, but then you're left looking at the "Loading" dialog box. If you stick with it - I use the gamepad - it clicks like you're navigating and I think it is navigating correctly behind the 'stuck' screen (just from hearing some background music etc.... To isolate, I disabled all plugins + disabled CustomMenus. Essentially running 'bare.' Also found that Search not working, and this shows to problems a little better: Any ideas? log.txt GameEx.ini
  24. I see the artwork download process has been further automated. What would be super-duper would be some way to specify where auto-downloaded artwork is stored. At the moment it downloads to GameEx>Media>Downloaded artwork, but some (including me) may have a very small system drive (SSD) and thus may not want it in this location. What would be really handy would be to be able to specify the root of the artwork folders (BOX, LOGO, SNAP etc) on a per-emulator basis. That way, you could also accommodated varying users' methods of organising artwork/assets. Could you just put a "Emulator/System Assets Root" option under the emulator setup. The bonus of this would also be that you could auto-populate the common assets folders form this (snap, title etc)... Guess this one's really @Tom Speirs as it seems you're the man on this side of things, fella...
