  1. Good man.
  2. I was wearing a cheeky grin whilst I typed it... wouldn't expect you to share something like that. Art needs to be revealed, not pre-empted.
  3. Seeing as it Christmas - game of charades? Go on.. give us a clue, Tom!
  4. Two?
  5. ditto. Get drunk.
  6. Cool beans - still a good feature.
  7. @Tom Speirs - thanks for the update, tom. So it's looking like it's fixed the problem of video audio playing over the background music audio as videos now appear muted when you have bg music enabled, which is a great improvement. Just to check, however, that it's not meant to be playing bg when showing non-video artwork then returning to video audio when showing videos (essentially cross-fading the audio between video audio and bg audio depending on game artwork/video)? My guess would eb this would be a whole other ball game?
  8. Is that the RA settings?
  9. Awesomeness...
  10. That's awesome, Hans. You've done a cracking job. That USB hub mounting's great. I know how it feels to have one bit not come out right though. I think you can remedy the hdmi. Use one of these: http://www.cliffuk.co.uk/products/feedthrough/plastic/index.htm And either front or rear mount it. You can use car filler to fix that plastic if there's any bits peeking through (you guys have 'Bondo' over there?) Think I posted earlier on the bit tho get to make mounting these XLR passthroughs really easy!
  11. You've never struck me as a guy to shrink from a challenge, Tom. That's not me blowing smoke up your **** just because I'd love to see this feature either! Honest.... *whistles... Nice one on the setup wizard fix.
  12. Liking the transition bit.. Vid below so you can see it running on another system: Including images (logo and game) would be awesome (so any transition between vids and images done also)
  13. Ah, nemmind then. Ta for the response.
  14. No probs. Also, wondering what your thoughts are about the post below that.... * whistles again...
  15. @RIP-Felix - Awesomeness. I nearly went down exactly the same path, but stopped myself as I need to finish at least one project in my lifetime. Biggest thing I was interested in exploring was finish methods with the two types of plastic (ABS + PLE or something?) That mini NES classic rocks, but the only turn-off for me was the finish. Thre's smoothing compounds and the acetone evaporation method, but they left things looking gloopy + don't think it'd work for angled/faced products. I'd be interested in how just plain sanding would do - also read somewhere that the PLE (?) sands better than ABS Great project Felix. Keep us posted.
  16. Dammit - I've heard that one - why are monkeys coming to mind?
  17. Dammit! You had to mention the side art! No. No I didn't... 2 years of coding is quite an awesome procrastination though, innit?
  18. Yerp. google it. lots of strategy involved and wondered if they were thw words of a satisfied painter...
  19. Bizarrely, I think I finally approach the day where I'll start setting up my cab for it's final roll-out. This means getting everything tickety-boo with game assets too. So, I'm trying to get my head around the assets download system and have a few questions: 1) Where does GameEx.exe presently automatically download to? There's Folders under Media>Downloaded Artwork that contain various asset folders under Emulator names entitle the usual (snap, title, video etc). However, what happens if I set these paths manually in the emulator setup to different locations? 2) Where are these resources downloaded from? Is it Emu Movies? If so - does GE choose the highest quality vids for download? 2.5) The dreaded 'image/rom name matching.' How 'fuzzy' is GameEx's search on artwork compared to Rom names? Once found does it name it to match the Rom name precisely, or does it strip tags (e.g. region in brackets etc) 2.7) How does it name images for roms in Zip files. Lets' say Tekken.zip contains "Tekken (USA).iso" and "Tekken (JP).iso" What images would result from the GameEx auto download? 3) If I was 'starting from scratch' what is the best way to setup GameEx to get the fullest/most complete sets? 4) At present I have a whole load of standard artwork folders (snap, title etc) - that I've gathered via the EmuMovies download on various sets of roms over the years (different standards). Should I just merged them all into "Media>Downloaded Artwork"?? This is probably me tying my own head in knots, but any help appreciated!
