  1. Video not available. We're you playing any Nintendo games by any chance? Bet you've been spintendo'd..
  2. @Sliver X - cheers chap. Sounds like a big fat "no" on it being possible. Maybe in a couple of years...
  3. Wow. Cool beans. Awesome build.. So one of my future projects will be building a small format factor PC for living room use. You seem to know your onions. I'd like to build one capable of running current gen emus, eg. Cemu, rpsc3 and the Xbox one... Would it be possible to cram the kinda specs into such a small format factor? Like the way you've integrated WiFi and Web and file manager. I take it they're separate applications but preserving the same theme?
  4. 4.5 years in and Nostromo's becoming the 200 year old hammer. You know.. I've replaced the handle 3 times and the head twice... So my car-boot sub woofer amp finally gave up the ghost. I was pleased in a way, because it was always a crappy sound - muddy and undefined. So, there was nothing for it but to buy a new sub amp for my cab: It's a beast. Wired it up tonight for a quick dry run + sounds awesome. Solid, defined bass with no distortion at the lows... It also comes with a little breakout dial to manually adjust the strength of the bass which I'm gonna mount on the top of the cab, out of sight. Ran Space Invaders through it - amazeballs! Imagine that duh...duh...duh...duh but with super low bass tones So, that's the main display, sub amp, small display and joysticks replaced. It's like painting the Forth bridge!
  5. I thought that was a picture of your floor then, T. Was gonna say...whhhoooaaaaa!
  6. He must be talking about you, A..... @jimdeprado - Errrrrr, Custom Lists can do all that (I believe you've downloaded that?). But if you want to re-invent the wheel - tuck in! I would say though, as a complete amateur, aim smaller first. People will help out, but not to the level of helping a brick layer do brain surgery. Aim for technical drawing before architecture.

    HideOS.exe

Good idea. If this bug doesn't happen for others then it must be my end. I'll take a look. Ta
  9. Pah. Dogs suck. Cats rock. Pinball wins.

    Amiga

What's the simplest way to get it working? Have a gamebase set. Started a Ben's WinUAE loader. Then delved into WinUAE. Got totally confused so tried the RetroArch approach. no dice. Black screen. Back to UAE Loader and emu. Got games to boot, but ended up throwing things around the room because couldn't get controls to map. Would F12 once Game booted in WinUAE via WinUAE loader. Would change the controls (it's really confusing the layout and ambiguous references) - sometimes got it working, albeit Player 1 being Player 2 controls on my cab. However, when exited and returns these hadn't saved. Can't make head nor tail of any settings of#r config files - they seem to be everywhere - in the Loader and UAE. Any Idiots guides or easy ways? Despite the old PCs being some of my fave nostalgia (C64, Amiga) they're an absolute PITA to set up!
  11. Get rid of the dog and consequently that cage + put a pinball table in its place..

    HideOS.exe

I love GameEx with all my heart. HideOS.exe, on the other hand, I loathe with a passion. Just when I think I have it licked it rears its ugly little head once more! Ok - I'll cut the drama. Have "Hide Desktop" set to No in Display settings and "Show Desktop" set to Yes in an emulator. However, HideOS still runs, interfering with other apps I have running. I know we can just rename it Tom, but you have to do so every update and it'd be awesome to have a setting to disable it entirely. I know it'll be a good feature for some, but it can be a nuisance for others.
  13. When you say "Run" do you mean you're trying execute it in the VS IDE environment? I.e. you're pressing "Start" (the little green arrow at the top)? If so, this won't work. You cannot execute plugins directly. You have to Build them to the GameEx Plugins directory and execute them via GameEx. This also means that you cannot use the VS debugger or runtime environment. So you'll have to build your own logging/error catching system. If you're just starting out, I'd recommend trying to write a small stand-alone app first incorporating logging and monitoring tools (an equivalent to Console) and then moving onto writing your first plugin. Take it form someone who, until a couple of years ago, could only remember Commodore BASIC: 10 Print "Wham suck" 20 Goto 10 Thus, have been on those starting blocks! Just for the record - the Plugin Template works fine, having used this to start all my plugins.
  14. For single display : You can enable pause at the bottom of the emulator setup menu. This'll take you back to the gameex game menu to view the manual (depending on the emulator) For multi display : download cpwizbiz written by some muppet on here....
  15. Update: 1.3.0 BugFixes: Debug Window; GEData loads CustomMenu.ini now sorted by Section and Key CustomMenu.ini now has original header text preserved Sorted Menu Build menu Get here:
  16. Oh yeah, that was your other option, but didn't think you'd want to undo all your work on your setup! Will tackle the probs as soon as I can
  17. Cool beans. What's the little ladder for? Reaching the bar?
  18. Don't forget the myriad of puzzle games. Puzzle Bobble (b4 candy crush was even a twinkle in its father's eye...)
  19. OK. Post your GameEx>Config>CustomMenu.ini I'll take a look see if I can get rid of that Intellivision for you - that's what you're wanting to do? Apols, but bit busy with other projects at the moment, but CustomLists is at the top of my coding to-do list.
  20. Just screen grab a png via Screenshot Captor + then drag + drop them onto the bottom bar of the Post Reply box (the one you're typing into). Yer gonna have to lear how to sreenshot + post if yer gonna get anywhere in this hobby! Then I'll take a look.
  21. That's a fact. Haven't read the book and that trailer made no sense at all. Does it have a story, or is it just kids running around in virtual reality?
  22. That reminds me. There was that Monkey Island fella.... They're menna be good aren't they?
  23. Thanks for the steer. Looks good, but 2 week turn around on one off boards would be a challenge to my patience. I'm gonna try the toner transfer method first if Ukmail ever gets its act together and gets the etchant to me. UK folk, avoid these clowns...
