  1. Just had a chance to try it and when I hit the exit button, it brings up the PBX exit menu with this in front:
  2. junky, Which Pinbot the regular UW one or BMPR Mod? Z Update: I'm pretty sure I have the BMPR Mod version which is a mod of UW's table. So fired it up, played a quick game, exited out and the DMD is still on. Now I still have the ledoff.bat and ledset.bat scripts in my pinballx.ini (see below). Give me a little and I'll disable the scripts and play again. Update2: Yep, you are correct the DMD/pinDMD stays active. However all of my LEDwiz ports turn off exiting the table. 3. Has anyone found a fix for this? I loaded BAM as a system so I could mess around with it, and can't exit out of the table. I press the exit button and hear the click but no exit menu. My FP/VP installs work fine. Z
  4. X:\PinballX\Config\PinballX.ini
  5. Anytime!! Thank you for taking care of US and providing two great front ends!!!!! With that said, this is the first draft, turn comments on in word and send me any corrections. If you would like me to expand on anything let me know. Z
  6. Minor bug that I'm seeing in 170. In between exiting a VP table and returning to the PBX front end I'm seeing the visual pinball application pop up for a split sec (I'm assuming before it closes). Once again I would say this is super minor and I can live with it, but the flash is enough to catch my eye every time. Thanks Tom for providing this great front end, which gets better and better with every rev!!!! (Now those of us with real DMD's need a filler on the DMD when we are in PBX ....the suspense is killing us......). But seriously, thanks for releasing a great product AND more importantly updating it with new features. Z
  7. No problem, I have a cab, so even though I tried to gear it toward desktop AND cabinet setups, I tried to stick to 100% pinball (but there are a few members that love the mame addon for PBX). I enjoyed putting the document together. Z
  8. Draco, Just to be clear when I say configuring MAME inside PBX, I talking about the functionality Tom has already added to PinballX to support MAME. Which I think should be added to this doc at some point. http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/13601-166-released/ Configuring MAME/emulators outside of what Tom has done in 166 is way outside the scope of a PinballX guide. If people want to go down that route I think GameEx is the solution.....period. Z
  9. Ok guys here it is, I think I've touched on most of the features within PBX and even gave some real world examples. I've never configured MAME inside PBX so if someone would like to put together instructions for that it would be great. (leave out anything to do with acquiring ROMs) Tom can fine tune some of the things I highlighted in yellow, like how many start up images does PBX support, does it select the files at random or in order, etc. Z PinballX_S2F_Documentation rev 1.0.zip

    DMD bug in 169

Fixed thanks Tom. (I posted my reply in imagamejunky's thread, but I'll cross post here in case you missed it) I used the last zip file in his thread if it makes a difference. Z
  11. By weeks end I'll post the .docx so you guys can edit it. I just want to get the basics down and then other authors can add content. PinballX_S2F_Documentation rev 45.pdf Z
  12. Are you running the 32 bit version or the 32 bit version with the 64 bit addon? Z
  13. We have a WINNER!!!! I did a real quick test as soon as I walked in the door and the DMD stays where it's put, and doesn't reset on a table exit. (I used the last zip in THIS thread) Z
  14. I converted the original doc over to the template. I'll do some more adding when I get get home tonight. Z
  15. Thanks guys I hope I can contribute a lot more. Z
  16. Comments?? Not finished but I think it looks pretty good pinballxr.25.pdf Now I just need my 1.69 bug fixed Z
  17. frans, Can you give us a little more information. Are you trying to install PinballX for the first time or upgrading? It's almost like the file is being cached on a gateway between, the PBX site and your PC. The install file is 48MB. Also, you are downloading the file directly from the PinballX site and not another site right?
  18. Just started, but this is what I had in mind........ Draco, Can you give me the ability to upload .docx files? Download the attached and change extension to .docx. Z rev .16
  19. Great, I'll try to have a draft by tonight (EST) of at least the PBX framework and what I don't cover maybe other users can contribute to. Z
  20. Draco, Great idea, what form do you see this being in? MS Word? A picture is worth a thousand words so I'd like to take a screen shot of each setup screen and write some explanation under it. Z

    DMD bug in 169

Just some additional info, 168 and 169 both reset the DMD position. I've been running 167 and have had no issues. Z

    DMD bug in 169

I don't think these will help since it seems to be an internal issue. Z log.txt PinballX.ini
  23. I pulled all mine out Friday, I'm wondering if you are seeing this: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/13723-dmd-bug-in-169/ Z
  24. What version of PBX are you running? If you run the table just from VP, move the dmd to the second screen, exit and come back in.....does it revert back? Z

    DMD bug in 169

Tom, Something changed in 169 that was not there in 162, 165, and 167 (I didn't try 168, but I can if needed). If I position the DMD on the BG and resize it, exit out of the table, and go back in.....the DMD is reset to the default position (top right on a cab) every time. I can reproduce this 100% with version 169, but with the older versions the DMD stays where it is put every time. I thought it was a pinmame.dll or vpinball.exe so I tried older versions of those and had the same issue. I was about ready to give up, then said let me try my old reliable 165, worked every time.....soon as I used 169 it would reset the DMD to default. Z
