Is that what that shaded box is for .......I thought it was for the wheel image. Tron doesn't have one so it's blank, I'll start one that does....... Z

I like it!!!!! Couple of comments/issues: Comment: Is it possible to move the GameEx evolution login popup to scroll across the PBX bottom info bar? Issue: On GameEx Online --> My Page - where are the images stored? I see a few that have 'No Image"? Issue: I did click on a table (Theatre of Magic) and selected "Play This Game" and it started a diff table (Zen: Shaman). I did it a second time and it went to the correct table. Z

Retro, not sure I fully understand....but are you saying when the table loads up AND you insert a credit, the credit does not register in FP? If that is the case can you try two things and see if you get further....1) If you are using a 2 screen setup, move your mouse to the screen with the table and click once to make the screen active, then insert a credit. 2) Press the start button (1) first before inserting a credit. Look at the names of the Pinball FX2 tables the you currently have and the PF, BG, and Wheel images.....I'm betting mine have a "_" and yours have a " " (or the other way around) Z Here are my table names: Atlantis.pxp BioLab.pxp Citadel.pxp EarthDefense.pxp Eldorado.pxp Excalibur.pxp Looter.pxp Mars.pxp MARVEL_Avengers.pxp MARVEL_Blade.pxp MARVEL_CaptainAmerica.pxp MARVEL_CivilWar.pxp MARVEL_DrStrange.pxp MARVEL_FantasticFour.pxp MARVEL_FearItSelf.pxp MARVEL_GhostRider.pxp MARVEL_InfinityGauntlet.pxp MARVEL_IronMan.pxp MARVEL_MoonKnight.pxp MARVEL_SpiderMan.pxp MARVEL_Thor.pxp MARVEL_Wolverine.pxp MARVEL_WWH.pxp MARVEL_XMen.pxp Paranormal.pxp Pasha.pxp Rome.pxp Shaman.pxp SplosionMan.pxp STARWARS_Boba_Fett.pxp STARWARS_CloneWars.pxp STARWARS_Darth_Vader.pxp STARWARS_Episode_5.pxp STARWARS_Episode_6.pxp STARWARS_SFA.pxp Tesla.pxp V12.pxp Edit: Glad you got it working!!!!!!!!!

This is funny when I switched from HP to PBX this was the one thing I missed....the ability to hold the exit button for 3 secs to go back to the PBX wheel menu. but there is hope......I have 3 buttons on my cab (4 if you count the launch ball) Start, Extra Ball, Exit. Start - starts the VP/FP/PBFX2 table from the PBX wheel or in game starts the table after coins are inserted Extra Ball - extra ball in VP (in game) or pause in FP (in game) Exit - If you are at the PBX wheel, pressing exit brings up the Return, Exit, Shutdown menu. (Return to wheel, Exit to OS, or shutdown the PC) If you are in a VP/FP table, pressing exit brings up the Return, Exit Table, Instructions, Flyers, Information dialog. <----From the posts above it doesn't seem like this is what you are getting? In order to accidentally exit a table, I would have to tap exit, right flipper once to Exit Table, and press start. Les if you want me to shoot a quick youtube video let me know, I know it's easier to picture) Z

For the folks having issue with the DMD behind the BG can you try the beta version of VP 9.2.1 posted here: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=26693&hl= Z

Les, No problem: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/13736-pinballx-documentation/?p=117499 Z

Les73gtx, As stated in this thread the issue revolves around the different versions of Steam/PBFX2 (4 as of this writing) and how many tables you purchased. Did you look at the PinballX document? There is an AHK script with all the tables as of Dr. Strange. Zen.xml is a custom group. (Section 5.9 in the PBX doc) I'll create a dir on the FTP site and upload all the files I use from my cab. (BUT BE WARNED...If you do not own all the tables, or you installed steam/PBFX2 to a different dir...IT WILL NOT WORK...you will have to edit the scripts) (Les this is not directed at you, just a general statement for those that will download) /Other Uploads/zeenon PBFX2 cab files/PinballX Z

Very nice!!!! Will you be making more of these and available for download? Z

PinballX Enhancements/Features Requests
zeenon replied to Draco1962's topic in FAQs, Guides, & Other Useful Information
In Game List Manager, when selecting a game, only show items with .vpt and .fpt extensions. I'm sure 99% of the folks have .txt, bios files, etc in their tables dir and the list is littered with non tables. Or if you want to go the other way hide these extensions: .directb2s - backglass files .vbs - bios files .exe - old B2S backglass files .txt - misc text files/instructions for tables Z edit: Added to version 1.73 -
Thanks for posting your findings, that just makes it even harder to configure PBFX2, since it looks like there are 4 different versions people may have on there PC's Z

I'm right in Somerset, NJ off Rt 202. Now that the holidays are over, we should get together. I'm always up for playing a little pinball and shooting the breeze Check you PM too Z

I used notepad ++ and just scrolled through your xml file fast and picked out the first two errors. The second one took me about 5 minutes because I was searching for special characters (not spaces), then I scrolled through again and found the extra spaces. Z
-
I saw three errors, the two above and this one: <game name="World Cup Soccer 94(Midway)(1994)(GetMoreSun)(1.0.5)"> <description>World Cup Soccer(Midway)(1994)(GetMoreSun)(1.0.5)</description> too many spaces before the GetMoreSun was crashing PBX. (Oh and one of your tables is EP instead of EM but that wasn't the issue here) I didn't see any weird characters like !@#$#%^&* which is what I thought it was. Z
-
Try this.....(620 Tables) Visual Pinball.xml
-
Ok I see two errors: <game name="STTNG_VP91x_v1.2.1FS_nightmod(Williams)(1993)(Inkochnito <game name="Star_Wars_VP9_Mod_FS_v1.2(Data East)(1992)(JPsalas I'm looking at this in Notepad ++ and the carriage returns are wrong. Let me know if you see the same. Z

Disregard what I said above, broswing in Safari cut out all the tags. So the format is correct, I copied a block of you code into my xml and it starts PBX. Maybe a limitation on the # of tables you can have in one xml??? (I thought 340 was the limit on Game Manager but there was no limit on editing the xml manually). Maybe Tom can jump in and verify. Z
-
I'm reading this off an iPad so the translation of the .xml may be wrong but shouldn't the xml be in this format: <game name="Back to the Future 1.02 Ultra (Data East 1990) ZED"> <description>Back to the Future (Data East 1990)</description> <manufacturer>Data East</manufacturer> <year>1990</year> <type>SS</type> </game> Do you need quotes around "desc"? Z

Also, does the table name under c:\Games\vp2\Tables match the name in your visual pinball .xml file? Z

Does starting Vpinball920.exe outside of PBX, and loading/starting a table work? Is your pinballx.exe and vpinball920.exe set to "Run as Administrator"? I always had the nvram under my VP dir like this: NVRAMPath=D:\VPinball\VPinMAME\nvram so I'm not sure if that is the issue. Here is the sample from the PBX documentation: [VisualPinball] Enabled=True WorkingPath=D:\VPinball TablePath=D:\VPinball\Tables Executable=VPinball.exe Parameters=/play -"[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" LaunchBeforeEnabled=False LaunchBeforeWorkingPath= LaunchBeforeExecutable= LaunchBeforeHideWindow=False LaunchBeforeWaitForExit=True LaunchAfterEnabled=True LaunchAfterWorkingPath=D:\PinballX\Scripts LaunchAfterExecutable=ledset.bat LaunchAfterHideWindow=True LaunchAfterWaitForExit=False NVRAMPath=D:\VPinball\VPinMAME\nvram LaunchAfterParameters= Z

I can't see PBFX2 being different between OS's so.....Start PBFX2 ---> Help & Options (on the bottom bar) --> Settings ---> Video ---> Orientation: 270 But let us know, if it is. Z

I've never seen it anyplace but---- x:\VPinball\VPinMAME\VPinMAME.dll (Note: depending on how you installed visual pinball it may be x:\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME\VPinMAME.dll but you get the idea) 1.71/1.72 should act the same, but everyone here preaches to be on the latest version so while your at it, might as well update. (I just read through post #13 again and though I doubt this is the DMD issue, I just want to make you aware......some tables have the DMD position hard coded. With that said, out of 250 tables mostly VP, I've never seen this elusive hard coded table/s, so it must be older tables that have not been updated in the last 12-18 months.) Z
