I have not put it through its paces. I was primarily looking for an all round easy analog to digital converter that was not fixed at 60hz output as I had got rid of my dvr and scaler as I needed the space (which I regret now, although realistically this stuff is not needed in 2021). I would have been happy to buy the real thing if it was even remotely available here.

Server upgrades in process. Won't be long. The forums have been moved now. Now on SSD and Xeon silver

Actually the one I pointed out seems to be actually pretty good and is a Chinese clone. I know what your talking about though with the other cheap ones.

I recently digitized a very cherished 21 year old PAL VHS tape into a 60 fps 4K MP4. I was very impressed with the end result but I had to do a lot of research and experimentation to get it there and I thought it might be useful to share the workflow. This applies to both NTSC and PAL VHS. Note: This is a high end solution in terms of kit required for best possible results at home AVerMedia SD PCIe video capture card CE310B (new) Corsair Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2 (new) Refurbished Super vhs player from ebay (need one with TBC and SVIdeo output). RTX 2080 super or better (already had so did not get scalped). For 1080p can use less. Capture to avermedia card at highest resolution in 422 from svideo with cropping to x264 lossless and pcm audio with ffmpeg Deinterlace with avisynth QTGMC preset very slow to x264 lossless and pcm audio with ffmpeg Encode again lossless but with aspect set to 4:3 (only set meta data, don't resize) Playback with potplayer (x86) with madvr plugin at 4k with random noise removal and smooth motion to 60hz. (don't need smooth motion for NTSC) Capture potplayer with Corsair Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2 Use VirtualDub2 to trim and with crop filter to make 4:3 and encode final result with x264. I believe the op had a different problem due to a unique controller just so you know.

Im not sure off hand but to let you know - PinballX uses directinput for gamepad input and scans all connected devices. According to your log it is connecting two devices.

By default MAME uses rawinput and won't work with sendkeys but im not sure why you would want to set MAME up like that anyway. Most don't. Its best to use the in built MAME support rather than set it it up as an emulator and if you do want to set it up as an emulator its best just to use the exit combo which will close the process.

Well, it was always a lot more advanced your side of the pond but we have caught up a lot since then, although still have to deal with 50hz broadcast TV but reclocking to 60hz and upscaling to 4k can be done now in Realtime which is to do with why I bought the card.
