It is probably an architecture difference issue. eg 32 bit vs 64 bit. Glad you got something working anyway. I guess you could convert the vb to c# if not. I am the primary developer and prefer to use VB so it may be more tested and no, I'm not gay. (just kidding)

I think there a little obfuscated but you should be good if you backup the whole folder. Although theoretically it should either be cfg ot ini. Anyway windows crashes should be nothing to do with MAME directly.

Ah, I see you said its returning to GameEx. In which case you need to use the wait for process feature of an advanced emulator config. This should probably be set to the actual ssf emulator.

Do ultra 360's work as gamepads or keyboards? I can't remember. Could be power saving, For the mouse, maybe your cursor hider plugin. For the theme issue try removing this line: DisplayBackgroundImage=True If you want me to investigate the theme further please get it to me. I wonder if might otherwise be bug with video upscaling. This should work. Its as designed anyway. If its expecting a bin file. RomFilter=*.bin; GameEx should extract the entire archive so I would think it must be a command line issue? I see the post says it should accept cues so I expect it is your missing quotes? Try: Command=SSF-RomSelector.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

Im not going to announce what I am currently using but have used torgaurd several years ago which did allow me to directly run it on my router. Speaking of DNS and routers I cant recommend pfsense highly enough. Its replaced pi-hole here too and runs as a DNS Resolver by default (your "own" DNS server). If I was trying to protect others such as a family I would definitely be looking it to run it directly on the router rather than clients.
