  1. There installed in the Default - Default them directory with 3.60
  2. Its been moved to the news page
  3. Hey bprell, Do you think you could test your stations? GameEx should support both Winamp and windows media based stations, although I've only been able to test it with a few stations. Thanks.
  4. Hey Surgeville, Thanks for reporting, ill get it fixed for the next version. Tom
  5. http://tomspeirs.com/gameex http://tomspeirs.com/gameex/news.htm Feedback?
  6. Windows Explorer search is a good tool if used properly. For example if you search snes ROMS for *[J]*.* that will list all roms with [J] in the filename. Then you can cut and paste those to a new directory. Use the same technique for other roms, until youve got your primary roms dir down, then you can manually go in and move other roms you dont want to another dir. There are free programs around that do this for MAME, yourll just have to have a look around, unless some others know. You can also use search again though for finding files based on size, and then move them off to another dir.
  7. Hi, It does not sound like a GameEx issue, but rather MAME. The way to be sure is to run the Run Last Game setting from the Program group. If it is a MAME issue, your best port of call for help is either to email Andy & ultimarc directly. You are entitled to support I would think. Or use the appropriate forum at mameworld.info.
  8. Hi, I do plan to implement folders for Emulators by the way. I like this idea, and I have most of the code already. Also currently the Alpha paging can not be used with an MCE remote.
  9. Try running GameEx at a different resolution to your desktop, or vice versa. As I've said Ive seen this when GameEx is running at the same res as the desktop. Ive not seen it affect emulators though, although it may be because your outputting to TV that's causing that. I take it also youve tried the latest drivers for your card/system? You could also see if your Geforce drivers allow you to create another resolution.
  10. I am afraid at least for the moment, I am of the 'buy a bigger hard disk' mind set. The project focus is on functionality, features, being the best and most of all fun, rather than cost per MB. Thanks, Tom
  11. Hi all, I have decided to keep GameEx free for non commerical use even including the forthcoming premium enhancments. This is too much of an enjoyable hobby for me to try and make commercial, and it will be a real kick to rock the boat and give the other htpc non free software out there a run for there money I am still not keen on making it open source just at the moment though but who knows. You will see i've made the donations a bit more obvious on the home page, as it would be nice to cover some of my costs. Although this is a hobby, and every penny Ive spent has been worth it. Thanks. Tom
  12. Hi, To save you fatigue, I would say that give up on trying to make GameEx bypass the info screens in PacMAME. The only succesfully way to do this in modern versions of MAME (and believe me I have tried even though its somewhat unethical) is to get the source code, change it, and compile it yourself. There are resources around to help with this. No easy task I am afraid, you may find some kind souls elsewhere who will help you though if you wanted to spend the effort on it.
  13. Hi EMKO, I would not say never, but its certainly not planned at the moment or anytime soon.
  14. Must have been temporary as its up now and they posted news today so it is active. http://www.emu-france.com
  15. This works for me: [Emulator_7] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Pinball Games TITLETEXT=Pinball StartPageLogo=pinball ROMFilter=*.vpt RomsInFolders=False RomPath=c:\Pinball\Tables SnapPath=c:\pinball\snap WorkingPath=c:\Pinball\Tables MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys=10000 SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=True Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch=[apppath]\vpauto.exe Command=..\VPinball-XPFix4.exe -play -"[ROMFILE]" OLDatZip=
  16. Can you try contacting Emu-France and others if necessary about this please? I dont have the latest version anyway by the looks of it.

Actually when playing a MAME game because MAME uses some of the same keys, and gets a full lock on the joystick, you will need a keyboard or remote that inludes skip and previous track buttons. A, S and the gamepad wont skip songs when actually playing a MAME game.
  18. Hi, I have seen similar issues with DirectX GameEx. In fact initially it would not work if the resolution used was the same as Windows desktop. I had to write code to switch to another resolution first. You can however make MAME run at any resolution you like. You can set this in gameex by changing the MAME options. Here is mine: MameOptions=-resolution 960x540 -skip_disclaimer -skip_gameinfo -triplebuffer -nowindow -joy -matchrefresh -syncrefresh Just add -resolution 640x480 to your MAME options in GameEx. Thanks, Tom
  19. See if the attached file works. It was taken from emu-france.com they are hosting Crashstests files. http://www.emu-france.com/?page=fichiers&idMachine=258 Mame_Videos_20041229.zip
  20. Hi, I think there is deffinitly demand for BittTorrent, I think Ill reseed myelf, and leave it seeding on a spare PC for a while. Could you point me in the right Direction of what is needed to reseed? Thanks.
  21. Can I have confirmation of this from others? Please describe under what circumstances this happens, and if it is fixed when exiting and restarting GameEx. Could you also please post your gamelist.txt before and after. (in the data folder) Thanks. Tom
  22. It might be that's what happening in your case, but its certainly not happening to everyone from what I can tell. Your log and GameEx.ini might shed some light. Also details on the software/os you are running and your hardware. Thanks.
  23. 14th April 2005 - Version 3.52 of GameEx available Seems I broke videos in 3.48. There working again. Should fix start-up errors with DirectInput Setting to turn off Game pad support New tree based (with sub menus) start menu with just 5 initial items. If you don't like this, you can go back to a flat menu by changing the setting under 'Basic' Improved parsing of controls.ini for mode switching. Should be perfect now. HTML apps, couple of minor fixes When waiting for the Jukebox to load when initial playlist starts on thread, the screen will no longer flicker. http://gameEx.net
  24. Can you post your log, and GameEx.ini.
  25. Try setting your button combo just to be escape (not alt-f4), and using the MAP Keys setting (on) for the emulator. That is the correct way to use joytokey. I actually think that will likely solve your problems. Let us know. Thanks, Tom.
