    No sound

Hi, yes, I can see its an issue with the Sound card. GameEx should be using the primary sound driver, and as it seems to not be able to use it. I think that's what's hosing up. I don't really have any suggestions on how to fix this though at the moment. You could experiment a little with you sound config in windows. Or try reinistalling the sound card etc, maybe in a different slow. Let us know how you get on. Thanks, Tom
  2. Just to let you know, I'll be out of the Country shortly now for a couple of weeks, and wont be on the forums much.

Hi, I will try and get you a solution for this and help. Can you try turning off the Jukebox and Playlist, and see if that makes any difference? Do you get sounds in GamEx when navigating? What sound card is it? Could you ensure you have the latest drivers for it, and latest version of DirectX. Could you also post your log please?
  4. Hi Chris, Only possible thing I can think of giving back a little CPU utilitisation by adjusting the setting under Tweaks/Performance. That might do it as you have a powerfull machine. Also, is this still an issue with the Jukebox disabled.

    Error

Hi, are you getting this problem when launching from MCE?
  6. I think I have found the problem, and am just uploading a new release. Should be uploaded in about 10 minutes. (3.45) Can you both try the new version and let me know?
  7. Are you both running .net Framework 1.1 SP1?
  8. In order to help troubleshoot, could you see if you can figure out what filter it is using on the 49 games. What do they have in common?

I'm thinking something has changed in recent versions of MAME perhaps. What version are you using, and would you be able to try a version prior to 0.92 to be sure about this?
  10. You can run all games at the same resoultion by modifying the cmd line options in GameEx. Look at Usage and Congifuration in MAME32 help file for cmd options. Otherwise you can create an ini file for these games. In the MAME ini directory. Tom
  11. Please post the log (after crash) and gameex.ini. I also recommend you at least try a different version of MAME. I am pretty sure its a MAME issue.
  12. It sounds like a MAME issue. Try a different version. What version are you using? What OS are you using?
  13. Hi, you need to map a drive. GameEx does not work with UNC paths. No plans for media player classic, sorry.
  14. Hi, I really appreciate you sharing this. Just wanted to say AutoIt when used with the AlsoLaunch setting is probably worth investigating for this as well as vbscript. I did design the AlsoLaunch setting with this kind of stuff in mind a little, in regards to checking for open windows, closing etc. I did look at the Sega Model 2 emulator when invisetigating non-command line emus, and like you, just don't think it is doable. Thanks, and take a look at AutoIt if your not already aware of the software.
  15. It could be that the Filter is removing games, I am not really sure. Mame Parent ROMS are not always what you think for example the parrent of Pac-Man is PuckMan I think. If your sure there deffinitly not clones and you have the roms let me know and I'll look into it. There is no way to select individual games not to show up other than use the filter. There is no way to filter from other Emu's. You could just move the ones you dont want to another directory though. A script could be used to move files based on names.
  16. Dave, I certainly do appreciate your help on the board I can tell you that. Just need a few more like you!!
  17. Its not the same problem, but never mind. There was no attachment with this, if its a big file, just upload the last half. Also, tell me about your setup and version of MAME. Have you tried a different version of MAME.
  18. I don't think there is anything going on. I think it is because MAME32 uses its own settings for launching games, and these carnt carried over when launching mame32 as a command. I am 90% sure this is a mame issue. As I've said before the way to test it would be to use the Run Last Game Shortcut in the GameEx Program group on the Windows start Menu. If this does something different then its probably a gameex issue, if not mame config issue
  19. Attract Mode Audio setting, under Audio Settings.

Please replace GameEx.exe with the one in this zip. then get it to do the same thing and post the log. Thanks. GameEx.zip
  21. Youv'e got my approval How about some success stories here? Or interesting usage or environments where used? The fact that I get about 3000 donwloads of GameEx a month and only a handfull of problems, there must be a few!
  22. It does actually sound like this is by design rather than a problem, the songs are actually 'queued'. When you select the first song is starts a new queue, after that selecting a song adds them to the queue
  23. Hi, Here is a non-debug version. Please experiment and provide more feedback. What you are experiencing may well be by design as youve not used it before. Please play around, and provide more info once youve had a chance. Thanks, Tom GameEx.zip
  24. I am getting closer, WE WILL do this! Please try latest version and post log.
  25. As long as its working, I dont mind that
