  1. Can i get some feedback. Do you guys want to hear sound in these video if used on the start menu/ sub Start Menu? I can change GameEx to play audio for Start Menu/Sub Start Menu videos if the setting is enabled under Audio settings - play audio in snap Avi's. Do you want this?
  2. Can you post the log anyway? Or do you mean the log file just shows the default one from the install (which is the last one from my development system)? If there is no log at all. It must be something to do with the framework and your system, rather than GameEx. You can uninstall the framework under add/remove programs in windows. You could try uninstalling it, then getting the version from MS (dont use the GameEx install)
  3. Hi, Please replace GameEx.exe with the one in the attached zip and post the log. Can you also have a think about what might have changed on your system? Such as new software, drivers, patches, upgrades? I think I know where its failing and others have had similar problems with the type of code GameEx is running at that stage. I still dont know what causes it, and the only way this has ever been fixed is to do a compolete reinstall of the OS Please post the log of this version anyway. It might be something else. Thanks. 4. Probably, can you post your log?
  5. Uninstall GameEx then delete the GameEx directory completey (C:/program files/gameex). Then try installing again. I also notice your running an older version. Any reason why you can't upgrade to the latest?
  6. Yes I will do that for all languages for new features. Good idea. Need to get all the current translation up to date first though. To all: if either your the original trnslator or someone else with the same tongue, please fell free to contribute. Listed below is the order of translations that need updating most. The older ones (in most need) are listed first. 1. Italian (old) 2. French 3. Spanish 4. German 5. English (Default - Current)
  7. Please post your log file. It may shed some light.
  8. Bloody Delorean again
  9. Can you also try 3.64 (just uploaded). Please get back to me.
  10. Can you try 3.64 (just uploaded)
  11. 3rd April 2005 - GameEx 3.64 I have a strong suspicion I forgot to turn on exception checking in the last version, so if you had problems please try this version. Now features a configurable snap delay for the time gameex waits before showing a snap or video. Its slow by default so if you feel snaps are taking to long to show up or the timing is wrong for you reconfigure the setting under Tweaks/Performance. Medium or Fast is pretty much how it was before. The GameEx install now includes Rob's (Pavolv70) amazing BlueEx themes directly with the install. These have been updated to work with the latest version of GameEx. When in Service mode there is a menu item to delete All favorites.
  12. Hi Evil, i am not too sure. I was thinking the .net framework was not installed but you say you can run the configuration application? All I can suggest is try uninstalling the .net framework and reinstall it (direct from Microsoft).
  13. If anyone else has either 3.63 working OK or has crashes please post here.
  14. That sounds a bit worrying. Can you replace GameEx.exe with this version, and 'email' me the log. Assuming it crashes. Thanks, Tom GameEx.zip
  15. OK, it's going to happen anyway. thanks
  16. Also wanted to say that GameEx does support tthe X-Arcade by default anyway. Cheers. Tom
  17. I didn't know but, I guess we just answered the question At least on your system at 1024 x768 @ 32 bit. I'd be interested to know if 800 X 600 @ 16 runs on your system at 32MB. Perhaps you could test for me? and no problem, its helped me get a better idea of requirements needed for future posts like this.
  18. Secondly I wanted to see if the display of Date/Time could be optional. And also if time display could have a AM/PM / 24 hr (military style) display choice? Yes, at some stage. Im not a yankee either. And on another matter, could you line up the descriptive text with the buttons like I've drawn in the attached picture? 'Cause now it's kinda floating somewhere in the middle. No. And no problem making feature requests. Feel free.

    jukebox

You need to import (add files) your music into the Windows Media Player Library, not export (sound like you already have this). Enable the Jukebox. Run GameEx, go to jukebox. If no music shows up Select Playlist then hit All Music. You should also be able to select any other playlist that is defined in Windows Media Player. You dont need to export. GameEx Jukebox reads from the WMP Library.
  20. I am afraid your out of luck if you want to use OpenGL. At least for the moment.
  21. Yep, my life is too sometimes
  22. And the correct answer is A Just File Delete Gamelist.txt and Gamelist.ini
  23. Yes do that. I did all this as I thought it was a bug in GameEx, but it seems its down to your config (work done will be useful in future though). Seems like it does not want to blit using directdraw anymore after its drawn the background. You could also try 16-bit colour and running at a lower res.
  24. Can you delete the themes directory completley. Then reinstall 3.63. Then replace the exe and then post the log. Can you tell me what video card you have, and do you have new drivers for it? Thanks, Tom
  25. And again please. GameEx.zip
