  1. Certainly acceptable feature request, I can see Media Player has the track number as a tag. Ill look at it.
  2. I tested this by running ehshell when GameEx is loaded by scheduling ehshell with task scheduler. Don't work Not sure there is a viable solution to this at the moment. I understand the next version of MCE supports out of process apps, so it might have to wait until then.
  3. Rob, Can you please try the attached exe, and see if it resolves the issue? Cheers. GameEx.zip
  4. Just curious, and would like to know. Why are you using myHTPC and not GameEx alone. In other words what extra does myHTPC allow you to do that GameEx does not? Thanks.
  5. I think you have your paths a bit messed up. Try these changes: WorkingPath=R:\PinMAME\Tables Command=C:\Emulators\PinMAME\VPinball-XPFix5.exe -play -"[ROMFILE]"
  6. I think a timer to check to see if ehshell is a running process and if so exit GameEx. With an option to enable this check. On by default. My Home button never worked on my remote unless I have MCE open, so if i'd of known about this behaviour would have addressed months ago. Probably be in next release. I may also implement a shell on exit setting to address the issues above. Cheers. Tom
  7. Hi, You could try this. Run GameEx via a batch (.bat) file, that on exit runs myHTPC. Hopefully when myHTPC is run at the end it will regain focus. Most modern HTPC software regains focus or maximizes with this method. It works for Sage. Create c:\runit.bat ----------------------- C: CD "\Program files\GameEx" GameEx.exe C: CD "\Program files\Myhtpc" myhtpc.exe Tell myHTPC to run the batch file above instead of GameEx.exe Let me know how it works out. If not you could write an autoit script to do this fairly easily I would have thought. Thanks, Tom
  8. Sorry, no not within GameEx, as it looks at tags only and not filenames. The only way would be to rename the tags of the tracks to be prefixed by the track number and a 0 if less than 10. ex: '05 - Step On'
  9. Perhaps a sneak preview of you theme, may convince me to implement this?
  10. Have you tried the Outline Fonts setting?
  11. I have not been able to test it with NVDVD codecs, so am not too sure. I know I had no big issues with PowerDVD or WinDVD. I cant pull a fix out of my hat. I would suggest though trying without FFDSHOW enabled first, and also ensuring DVD's play in Windows Media Player 9 or 10 without issue also. Can you try that, and let me know? Thanks, Tom.
  12. I'm not entirely sure what your asking, but you can tell GameEx what resolution to run at in the configuration application under display. Does this not work? Are you running on a High Definition TV? If so: You might want to invest in an application called Powerstrip. If GameEx is crashing post your log.
  13. You can use Sleep.exe which is included in the GameEx install. It's fixed at about 2-4 secs but you can call it more than once.
  14. Can you give me an example? GameEx Config 'should' list 'all' 'installed' 'True Type Fonts'. Have you scrolled through the entire drop down? What's missing? Thanks. Tom.
  15. That's interesting stuff Dave. Excuse my ignorance but is any kind of modding needed on the PSP to do this? What's involved in terms of getting the stuff on to it? Cheers, Tom.
  16. Hey, I can't think of any reason why this would happen. Did it not happen with older versions? Have you changed the default theme at all, or installed any other software? Nothing much has changed where GameEx is failing for you in the last several versions. Tom
  17. Thanks for your thoughts. Back now (with a tan ) Night, feel free to upload any new files. Cheers. Tom.
  18. Hi, Sorry, it's not currently possible to do this.
  19. Just to let everyone know I am taking a break for a week. I may check in but cant guarantee it. Thanks. Tom
  20. In order to avoid the misconceptions around new features being the cause of bloat. I thought I would create a new theme 'Default - Lite' which would disable everything not related to MAME and emulation, and show just a flat start menu. I really would like to stress this again, its getting me frustrated (as you can tell ). I am not stating I will not work on optimizing GameEx but if the multimedia features and HTML apps are not enabled, they will not be loaded into memory. What are your thoughts on the theme?
  21. I am interested to know who 'they' are? Strangers from out of town, space, or visitors from another dimension? Just kidding If you go ahead and open the log file, it should tell you why GameEx disabled MAME usage. Probably because one of your paths is wrong. If thats a bit confusing for you, just upload the file here, and Ill help. Tom
  22. Try this version, and do the same. GameEx.zip
  23. OK. 1. Make sure your running the latest version of GameEx 4.07. If not install it. 2. If that does not fix it goto 3:) 3. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer 4. Navigate to C:\program files\GameEx\Data 5. Delete 'Gamelist.txt' 6. Run GameEx 7. Update List again.
  24. Sorry for the delay: Please replace GameEx.exe with the debug version I just uploaded, then run then post or email me the log (with MNG's not playing)
  25. Please replace GameEx.exe with the debug version I just uploaded, then run then post or email me the log.
