So one of my PCs has a 12th gen intel CPU in it and I was forced to use Windows 11 for more than just testing. You need to use Windows 11 to properly use efficiency cores in 12th gen and 13th gen intel cpus. I wanted to report on couple of tools I used to reduce the pain. Both worked perfectly. Its the 7-zip/goodmerge setting. If the emulator will read zip files you dont need it (like MAME). If there are image files in the zips and only those can be read by the emulator then you use the setting and pass the files within the zips.

It is. You got extraction enabled and a rom filter of .zip. You need to add the file extension of what is in the zips.

Thats the issue most likely.

Having thought about it probably the rom filter. Add the required file extension.

They arrived on Monday, no issues and I got usb extension cables too yesterday. Looking soon.

There is the GameEx Online API. Otherwise command line support for specific games is there but Ive not touched it or looked at since the windows media center days.

Maybe this got broken. Do you have all your controls setup properly?

I decided to go purely donation based a couple of months back. This was mainly due to overwhelming competition which alone I cannot keep up with. The competition is vast ranging from one commercial windows front end to many free RetroPie and Android solutions. I saw the writing on the wall post lockdown and trying to oprerate commercially in this field is a dying business. I believe there will be no succesful commercial front ends of any viabillity in two - three years time. Having said that I feel many still enjoy GameEx and PinballX, and download services and wish me to continue. I also enjoy it very much. Unfortunaly PayPal ditched me the other week. I can only assume they did not like the lose association I have with games and roms. They have the right as a business to serve who they like and from what I read, they do this frequently. Although I provide no illegal content here or anywhere and I pay my taxes. I have new payment gateway options now and I ask if you enjoy my products and wish to support me you please switch your renewals over. Two shipped to me today. ill hopefully follow up with a touchplay setup with two players. Touchplay was designed for lightguns but not tested with them. The sinden lightguns are on general release now. I was not a part of the crowdfunding. I ordered a week ago and they were shipped today. They come from the UK so may even be here tomorrow, if not Monday, depending on what the posties are up to. I'm thinking model 2, dreamcast, and MAME Nintendo VS. Doubt ill mess with PS 2, maybe tecknoparrot.

Just make the ,mame controls.ini path invalid. Im aware of the hideos issue, its happening to me too. For now make sure GameEx is not windowed and not fullscreen windowed.

No, not related. Im not aware of any current issues with FTP. If youve been away a while, make sure you use your email address to login.
