Yeah, I understand. I expect its why you had the issue with the 800x600 because I set those values in the ini because of that probably that. So it forces full screen. So lets look at fixing the startup rather than the exit. Okay, so what exactly do you need set in the ini? Are you able to tell me? Does setting it to read only work?

Im an internet guy to many. People do have issues with me! No idea why either! Im not offended or taking it personal you just seem a little pushy so just just asking! No worries about it. So the issue is it breaks the full screen mode? A liitle script should fix that but again I cant remember the emulator needing that. Im happy to write you a little script to set the ini variables before launch if you like, if that is the problem?

Its just there are lots of people who have setup model 2 as an external emulator before including me. I've never heard anything weird about it in regards to exiting it. That I can remember anyway. The in built support does not do anything special to exit the emulator. The main issue here is the emulator has not been updated and the MAME rom names have changed, as far as I can guess? Im not sure what the best solution is for that right now, to avoid a lot of work, when I would like to make the best use of my time. Your obviously looking for perfection so set it up as an emulator. Im going to have to set it up myself now and see if there something weird about exiting but I never recall anything in the past. Exactly, not rocket science at all so I am not sure what the issue is exiting. PS: Do you have a problem with me? Hope not buddy.

Yes, I know buddy. The missing games is no quick fix though. The emulator is old now and ROM names have obviously changed. If this was quick and easy it would be done already. GameEx supports any command line emulator, so you could easily set it up. Please stop bugging buddy!

Im not sure why GameEx would cause an issue with it perhaps the combination of Windows 7 but your using Port Audio with GrrovyMAME which is kind of an advanced setting. Not that it is bad. Try changing: sound portaudio to sound dsound or sound auto xaudio may also work which is better performing than directsound. I believe I have tried port audio myself before and didn't have that issue but it was windows 10.

Yes of course I will fix it. Auto update is disabled at the moment because there was a big update from .NET 2 to 4. Is it not under audio settings?

There you go then. If you update the GameEx list with a correct version of mame with the filters set at there defaults (verify). You wont see non working games in your list.

Does the game actually work in MAME? Are any other games working for you? Its nothing to do with the command window. The game either doesn't work or if nothing works for you its another issue.

There were some changes in the last release for single screen setups. Maybe that buggered your two screen setup. You didn't post your pinballx.ini though. Please do that.

Ill take a look. I thought I had fixed that.

Im not entirely sure what is up but someone had a similar issue recently and it was because they had set PinballX to run in compatibility mode.

Ill try and get back to you with a better answer. I need to take a look to remember. I think you may be out of luck though and they run under MAME. However if your rebuilding why not mix it up and give Evolution or Arcade Edition a try?
