  1. Thanks Scutters. Newly loaded tables load fine it was just the 3 tables I already played that needed the f1 help. I read somewhere else that this is the case. Also being a long time VPforums member I will try your suggestion for autopov. Thanks again everybody and happy pinballs.

  2. Well, I think I can call this one resolved! I only installed the driver that came with the card because I couldn't find another way to test the surround speakers in my SSF. That's where the really old .dll came from (2015). I removed the drivers and let Windows install its own (2019). This worked but I was back to not having a way to test/configure the surround speakers. I decided to check the control panel, and I saw the USB Audio device. I checked the menu and was able to find a configuration screen! I then tested with PinVol, EqAPO, Thump and its all working. More importantly, the PBX problem is gone!

  3. The cmedia file referenced is definitely from my recently installed USB sound device. The date on the driver is quite old. I'm going to try a few things to see if Windows has better drivers than the OEM.

  4. A typical vendor question: Are the drivers/firmware/et up too date ? It is hard to find a root cause based on eventlog. Is there a (mini) dump created as well ? If so, try to get some info out

  5. I've just uploaded Table, Launch audio, and wheel images for Balutito's "Big Trouble in Little China" table. It's available from Game Manager and Game Database Manager

  6. Not from within PinballX. If you use Database Manager rather than games manager then that has the option on a right click menu to rotate playfield videos. Otherwise you will either need to rotate the videos manually (via an app or command line using ffmpeg), or delete the videos and re-record them using PinballX or PBX Recorder.

  7. Too right.. so no need to apologise at all. Americans! If you haven't done so already go to your Visual Pinball\Vpinmame folder and open setup.exe, click the Setup Defaults button there and select the options you want as defaults (so i guess External DMD, cabinet mode and clear Show DMD/Display - but i'm not a real dmd user). Those settings will then be applied to any new table roms when you use first use them. I assume you loaded the game from PinballX, are you trying to exit with buttons or via keyboard?, most people will set the exit emulator option to the same as the exit option in pinballx keyboard or joystick settings, but not sure what key or button number you're using. Btw- Visual Pinball can work in portrait mode, it's just that 99% of the tables will come preconfigured for landscape. That can be adjusted in the VP editor for each table using the backdrop XY rotation setting (change it from 270 to 0 for portrait). There is a cheat you could use there using an autopov.pov file in the tables folder, but read about that later - best to manually adjust stuff for a while to get to know your way around.

  8. Your English is better than most "as a first language" posters so you need not apologize.

  9. I aasume you have dof installed, otherwise you don't have interaction. If DOF is working, you need the dof plugin for pinballx. This can be downloaded from the download section. Opem the dof configtool (website), go to table config and selecttable pinballx. On the right pane (canidate configuration) Paste the next line on 'start button' ON Blink fu500 fd600 Save your config, download the newconfig and apply it to your dof. That should do the trick (you can change the blinking part off course, this is my fading in and out on my led light) Hope it make sense
