Hello again. Due to some problems, I've been disconnected from everything, as my house was robbed and I lost absolutely everything. Now that I'm trying to slowly rebuild my project, I've realized that I started creating a HORROR Pinball system with the horror tables, trying to group them together so they would appear with a system (Visual Pinball, Pinball FX, Future Pinball). But honestly, I don't remember how I was told to set it up. I know that all the systems appeared and I selected the tables I wanted, but I don't remember the process. Would you be so kind as to guide me through it, please?

Sorry to hear of your losses! I suggest starting with the PinballX Documentation that is included with your PinballX download.

From there, my guess is that there is some PinballX Database Manager goodness involved (with its own documentation). I would offer to help but it has been some time since I dabbled in PinballX to that degree.

Sorry to hear of your  loss.
Not sure if you had any backups or documentation.
This is what i should do :

Install on your (new?) PC your operating system and try to unbloat it !
Create a snapshot or disk backup after that
I like to have all in 1 folder, So I could disabled the virus scanner on that folder.
let's say for example c:\Pinball
Within Windows defender (or your favourite virus scanner, if there is any favourite ...:( ) disable that folder from scanning !

  • Install PinballX in that folder without the demo files
  • Install VPX 10.8.0 public version
  • Update Vpinmame 32 and 64 bit with the latest version (and use the SC version. thats Sammy Colour)
  • run also the instals from bothe the programs
  • install latest version of direct B2s server and start with a global settings file that can be stored in the B2s folder
  • install FlexDMD 1.9.1

This will be the basic of your VPX
test everything and configure is.

Steam :

  • I installed steam in my pinball folder as well, but could be in program files as well (easier for me in the pinball directory for backup)
  • install your Pinball apps, like FX3, Fx, TPA, Zaccaria, Malzbie's, etc.
  • Add 1 by 1 the system to your PinballX
  • you can use the examples with Joyriders his launch scripts in the tutorial section (thing we have most covered)

I hope this will help you to get on track buddy

P.S. As you move along through the process, please keep us up-to-date with attached pinballx.ini and log.txt files and a thorough description of any issues. You know the drill... 😎

Since you will be in the process of creating a custom list, you may need to also attach a copy of your xml file to be reviewed.
