  1. From my part I have GameEx installed in F:\EMULATORS\GameEx and it runs without problems. @ste: Wanna try to delete the cache and see what happens, before proceding with a complete reinstallation, as Draco (with a reason, of course) suggested? Go to GameEx\DATA and delete every file with .dbcache, dbcacheini and .map as extension. Keep the other files. Run GameEx and let it rebuild the cache. Have some patience please, since GameBase systems have a huge amount of data that GameEx needs to load. I have the suspect that it could be a matter of time...
  2. Congrats null! Great software!!!
  3. Congratulations!
  4. In which directory did you install GameEx? I'm just thinking about an UAC issue, in case you installed it in Program Files. If this is the case, would you mind to temporary disable UAC and see what happens?
  5. Your log does not report anything about update, nor does your config, but usually GamEx.ini reports other important settings that are missing in your ini... Would you mind to make an experiment, just in case? 1 - Move your config file (GameEx\CONFIG\GameEx.ini) in a folder of your choiche, but outside the GameEx installation directory. 2 - Make a copy of GameEx_default.ini and rename it GameEx.ini. As you can see, we are just trying to see what happens with a default configuration. Let us know...
  6. Hi ste! In order to attach a file you have to click on the "More reply options" at the bottom of the screen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. EDIT: Too late, you found it anyway...
  7. Hey stu! Thank you for you interest! Sorry for the delay... here are the infos: Max Payne: f: CD "f:\pc-games\steam" steam.exe -applaunch 201330 Max Payne 2: f: CD "f:\pc-games\steam" steam.exe -applaunch 210430 So I tried to rename both wrappers accordingly... but they didn't work. Strange, but after exiting GameEx, I can se the AHK file running in the system tray, and this means that GameEx correctly recognises the game and launches the wrapper. But I get the launcher window, no automatic "Return button press", although, according to your script, it should give the "Return" input and go to the game. Obliously, if I (phisically) press the return button on my keyboard, I can go the the main screen... so it seems that the AHK script cannot successfully transmit the input to my PC... Any idea?
  8. Suggestion: Always use catver.ini, history.dat, controls.ini etc version that match your MAME version, put them in a specific directory so that they won't be overwritten by updates, and set them accordignly in Setup Wizard.
  9. This is true. But Max Payne would not be the case... Let me check the wrappers a bit more.. on the first run they did'n work, and, additionally, the "in game" cursor didn't work... I had the windows cursor but no way to get it to control the main game screen... I mean the "in game" cursor obvously exists, but it is unresponsive and, on the other hand, I can control the windows cursor but no way to interact with the game main screen..
  10. @Draco: Indeed. If I click on the first link it redirects me on the main steam store page. Some sort of restriction based on geography?
  11. Thank you so much stu! Checking them now... EDIT: I followed this link: http://store.steampo...com/app/201330/ for Max Payne ID.
  12. You're in the wrong place. Select "Advanced Emulator Setup" instead.
  13. Would it be possible here to ask for a couple of wrappers on demand? I don't want to be an hassle, just asking... Or at least I would like to know if it is possible to do it with AHK... I could try it for myself... I want to have a wrapper for Max Payne 1 (id 201330) and Max Payne 2 (id 12150)... those games have a launcher... I would, if possible, hide the launcher screen and automatically (and invisibly) press the "Play" button, so that I can go directly to the game...
  14. Same for me. Just give some time to GameEx to download them in the background and you'll have everything sorted out.
  15. Happy to hear the good news. Thanks as always!!!
  16. Happy Birthday Stu! Have a nice and funny day (and not only today)!!!!
  17. Absolutely cool. I love it!
  18. If I remember it correctly, there was a bug of this kind in an old version of GameEx... readily fixed by Tom. It would be strange if it were exactly 11.64, but trying the latest version would definitely be your next move, pugme.

    R.I.P!

Please accept my condolences too, Krak. Sincerly sad for your loss, Alpha.
  20. Thank you!
  21. Just as a side note, it seems that this theme requires the Roboto Condensed font, which is not included in the package. But you can download it form here: http://www.fonts2u.c...-condensed.font. EDIT: No, do not download that font... It caused GameEx to crash at startup on my system. Please could you give us a clarification about the font supposed to be used with this theme, vsilvalopes?
  22. As nullPointer said, it should be Windows' Temp Directory... P.S.: Thank you for the tutorial smd!!!
  23. Just tried your theme and I have to say that it is fantastic! Excellent concept for an excellent theme!
  24. I could quote null's words from "Always" to "man"... Great work Adultery!!!
  25. Yes, you're right, and evidently something is not right here. As a usual procedure, please attach GameEx.ini (in GameEx\CONFIG directory) and the log (in GameEx\LOG), so that we can see what's happening. To attach files you have to use the "More Reply Options" button.
