  1. It's not Aliens, but the series was influenced by the movies. Particularly the first two games by the first two movies.
  2. You're getting warmer.
  3. Nope. Here's the next line: "Mother. Time to go."
  4. AFAIK the Japanese version has been cracked and is running a very light Linux build. The U.S. version has not been cracked yet. Once wireless controllers come out I'm definitely getting it for my brother. Or I'll settle for cable extensions.
  5. I'm kind of leaning toward getting this for my brother too. He pretty much stopped playing video games after the NES with the exception of Madden football and Tiger Woods golf on the PS2 and PS3. I think it'd be a nice surprise for him. It'd be a lot harder for us to whip the controllers around to hit each other with after "cheating"on Tecmo Bowl given their 2.5' length.
  6. I had a similar experience, both with the keyboard acting weird, and looking online for a replacement. The only thing bells and whistle wise I really used anymore were the volume dial, and the mute key andhose are on quite a few keyboards. It was just really, really comfortable. Like type for hours with zero pain or soreness in my hands and wrists. I'll check out the 105. Thanks for the heads up.
  7. After 11 years of dutiful service, my beloved Logitech G15 keyboard (version 1) has given up the ghost. The backlight works, but nothing else does. It is a sad day. Maybe it's time I drop the money for a mechanical keyboard.
  8. Spot the game will probably be a bit easier. We're so hard up to stump each other we're culling from the darkest regions of gaming.
  9. What's the next line? Here's a softball for you guys: "Why am I still alive? The baby. ________ ____ __ __."
  10. It's River City Ransom, but I'll be damned if I can remember what the next line is.
  11. Thank you, good sirs. Thank you. If you look at my other videos you can see such great hits as me throwing a bowling ball about 10 years ago, and I think my original GameEx setup, from 6 or so years ago, is on there too.
  12. Excellent advice stigzler. A Neutrik HDMI pass through should work great for that. It gives a nice clean look. That's what I used for my arcade stick. The best part is, even if your hole is janky it'll be covered! You can get the step bits at Harbor Freight for about $6 as well. They cut through plexiglass and lexan well. I've used mine quite a bit, so it's money well spent if you want to do any other projects in the future. EDIT: That's actually pretty good soldering. It's even better considering you didn't have anything extra to hold stuff in place.
  13. Gorilla anything is aces! Han, if you get a computer case fan you should be able to hook them up to a 3.3v or 5v pin and a ground pin. No need to get super fancy. Something like the Scythe Slip Stream. Since they would normally run at 12 volts it'll be even quieter, and move less air, but hey you shouldn't need much.
  14. If it's not the best thing I've purchased gaming wise it's definitely in the top 3. Although, I can't think of any other program outside of Chrome/Firefox that I use more.
  15. Happy birthday, Dazzle.
  16. +1 for Nestopia. I haven't gotten that far into Star Tropics, but it is definitely playable, and I personally haven't noticed too many issues. RetroArch is still a bit off for me to set up on my main emulator PC.
  17. Thanks dude. I forgot about it last night. Just snagged one.
  18. Most stores in my area had between 3 and 12 to sell day one. They aren't expecting more until Black Friday (how convenient). My buddy had me looking for one today for his brother. He was hoping since I lived in a smaller city/metro area I'd have better luck. I offered to get a Raspberry Pi set up for about the same price, but I guess he really wanted the actual unit.
  19. I'm not sure what they did to it. It came out about 3 or 4 years ago on Xbox, yes. I still play it, especially the challenge missions (think Metal Gear VR missions) after having owned it for 3 years.
  20. Hey gang, one of the best Metroidvania style games I've ever played, Shadow Complex, is dirt cheap on Humble Bundle right now. There's a lot of replayability, the story line is good if a bit hokey, and it's just a lot of damn fun. Check it out here.
  21. @hansolo77 In response to the cross thread conversation about double sided tape. This doesn't leave a residue. I've used it for a number of projects. It does stick like hell though, so removing whatever you stick can be a laborious process. Food for thought. This is a great thread, and I'm enjoying very much watching the process. Thank you.
  22. Frontier FIOS. 16 down/5 up. $35/month. No data cap (yet). WMC and 2 Xbox 360s for over the air DVR. Free. Hulu $8.99/month and Netflix $9.99/month. I do miss a lot of sports, but I also spend less time watching tv, and we save a ton of money. I got sick of my Comcast bill never being the same from one month to the next. And it feels like they're always showing the same crap on tv every day anyways. I've been cable free for almost 5 years now, and Comcast free for 3 years. It feels good. It feels real good.
  23. I used Paint yesterday at work to label a picture so people knew where to put things. Putting actual labels on the rack didn't work. A nice 8.5"x11" photo and my amazing Paint skills front and center of the rack seems to be doing the trick though. Half of the best memes are still made with Paint, too! @hansolo77 3M automotive double sided tape, bro. That stuff has some serious hold and isn't conductive (not that many tapes are).
  24. RetroPie has drivers for the 8bitdo controllers that you can download. I'm not sure if it disables other Bluetooth devices like the PS3 controller drivers do, but I would lean towards yes as it's a separate driver like the PS3 controller.
