You can go into programs in Control Panel and remove the extra stuff Shark's codec pack installs. While I don't agree with his decisions regarding the extra stuff his codec pack is good at what it does, and it's easy to get rid of the junk.

If you purchased a lifetime license you should be all set. If you purchased an annual license then you'll have to rebuy for all of the features. Personally I bought the annual one and upgraded to lifetime after about 2 weeks of using the software. It's really amazing and good at what it does. As for the fans there are several options. The easiest thing, I would think, is to put in another power supply and run a few 120mm, or larger, low RPM fans and call it a day.

Check different retailers for the Collectors Edition. I found a Lich King Collectors Edition at Meijer (think Wal-Mart without the shady business practices) a few days after it was released.

It's about 5 times faster on my phone which is nice, still feels the same, and looks good.

Having tried a few different Media Center theme programs, personally, I think MCS is the best, even with all of its faults. As T-Jay said as long as you run MCEfix whenever you change something it works as good as gold. Every once in a while it will start up on the wrong tile, but that's the only problem I've had with it. Currently I'm running two Xbox 360's as extenders off of my main PC to host and it's been great for the last 2 years.

Ack. That game was the pits. I'm currently in line at GameStop. Not a big fan of the GameStop, but $63 Kinect and buy 2 get 1 free on used stuff (with rewards membership) makes it hard to say no. 2 more hours to go. Only 5 people ahead of me though! Meanwhile, across the street at Toys R Us the line is wrapped around the building and they've been open an hour. Consumerism at its second worst after the idiots at best buy who've been there since Monday.

Nice post, Draco. I'm also thankful for a great family, and the fact that I am employed at a time when finding work in Michigan is difficult at best. I would also like to extend a thanks to everyone at GameEx including the members of the forums. I stumbled onto this site about a year ago and instantly fell in love with the program and most importantly the community. I haven't really used GameEx extensively in a few months as I'm working on gathering parts, slowly but surly, for a new dedicated build, yet I'm on the forums every day to catch up on the goings on of the software and the community. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and happy holidays in the days to come!

Even when I was 18 they were more annoying than anything. If you have to date young I'd stick around 23 and up. At that age she probably has the partying out of her system and might be working on getting her life straight, but can still cut loose when the time calls for it.

Agreed! Seeing the new menus really makes me want to get my next project up and running as soon as possible. Very nice.

Thank you, thank you for the birthday wishes. I'm actually in the middle of a 12 hour shift at work today. My wife, son, and I are going to dinner on Sunday. I'm moving up the ranks in the old farts division. Still feel like a kid though, and that's all that matters.

My boss is in the beta with his old Warcraft guild. All he does is work and play the game, so it must be pretty good. I think he's been in the beta for about 3 weeks now. I'll probably check it out. Hopefully it caters to the casual gamer like WoW does because I simply do not have the time to grind out for half decent gear. I do hope they keep it in check if they do that. I knew I wasn't going to be decked out in epics, but it got to the point where it seemed you got purples simply for logging in after BC came out. Reward the players who sink countless hours in the game, but keep it somewhat balanced so players who may only log 5-10 hours a week a least feel like they're accomplishing something.

I miss Software, Etc. The one I went to had the best employees of any tech type store I've been to before or since.

Wasn't there a giant turd of a Zelda game released for the 3DO? I remember some guy buying one at the store years ago. The employees were amazed he was plopping down all that money.
