  1. When im running pinballx some of the older tables dont have DMD so i use the HIDEDMD option in PBX for those tables so a static image stays on the DMD display, this works perfect in Visual Pinball but refuses to work with Future Pinball in PBX , ive trued ticking and un-ticking in game manager, even tried altering the script in the future Pinball XML to no avail, has anybody else managed to get this working? I have to use an image in Future Pinball as i cannot get FPDMD to work. As always thanks in advance. ive attached logs . PinballX.ini log.txt
  2. im also interested so please keep us posted :-)
  3. i have mine set exactly the same as joyrider ( obviously diff name and p/word ) and works fine for me, so just make sure the set up is as joyriders screen.
  4. shouldnt this be YES ?
  5. A lot is dependant on the system you are trying to run it on for example is it a single desktop pc or a cab with 2 or 3 screens ?
  6. 22:13:40.0 2019-02-13: C:\Pinball\Future Pinball\BAM\FPLoader.exe /open "C:\Pinball\Future Pinball\Tables\Bubble Bobble (v1.0) (DOFLinx).fpt" /play /exit /arcaderender /STAYINRAM try removing the /exit
  7. i hear you on that, a lot of tables r being converted to VPX so slowing its taking over but with over 500 tables in my setup might take a while lol.
  8. i use the alternate exe command in the XML to run diffrent version on VP , but it sorted now some how the XML got screwed up just need to check each table has the correct version in the alternate exe, by default it vp995 as most tables are VPT but VPX is closing in.
  9. After a bit of help finally got the DMD / PF / BG videos showing in PBX ( was LAV settings ) but now ive a new problem some tables dont load, DMD doesn't show, loading some times freezes and some table are over sized on screen? All these cant be down to LAV settings? ive enclosed my pinball ini and log files for any help. on the enclosed log abracadara was over sized could only see the flippers and the next airport is where it froze trying to load. I tried resetting the LAV setting back to what it was before and the problem is still there so summit has happened and be damned if i know what. EDIT : ok so dont ask me how or why but somehow my XML database got screwed up and had altered and added alternateexe>VPinballX.exe</alternateexe> to the XML so it was trying to load FPT tables via VPX ! ive no idea how this happened, but ive sorted it now. log.txt PinballX.ini
  10. YAY RESOLVED... thanks to @scutters i hadn't seen this post about the output settings, after doing this ALL my media now works, so a massive THANKS to all who helped .
  11. Thanks, was the 1st thing i did just to make sure all was set, ive even re-installed VLC player and given the media permissions.
  12. Im sorry i dont follow you, how do you create playfield and back glass videos from the game manager?
  13. or use this ?? JoyToKey (or Joy2Key) enables PC game controllers to emulate the keyboard and mouse input, so that windows applications and web games can be controlled with your favorite joysticks! Whenever joystick buttons and sticks are pressed, JoyToKey converts them into keyboard strokes and/or mouse movements so that the target application will work as if you are using a real keyboard and a mouse. Joystick to Keyboard JoyToKey is a shareware, but you can download the latest version for free. Try it on your PC to play games with your joysticks and/or use it for general applications to improve efficiency by registering frequently used key input as a joystick shortcut. If you find JoyToKey useful, you can purchase a license key at any time from JoyToKey application menu. Information
  14. update : ive just tried the PBX recorder and although it does record the files ok my system still revuses to play correctly so until this issue is fixed im stuck with having half static half animated screens, how annoying.
  15. Thanks, Works perfectly, but im still having a problem where my system wont show the recorded files ( see other post) ...but at least i can record missing files now so thanks. :-)
  16. i would say i agree mike :-) [ done ] Ian log.txt PinballX.ini
  17. Still have a very strange problem with this and dont really know what to make off it apart from it seems my system only likes media thats MP4 encoded at 1920x1080 ??? does that sound odd, as its the only way ive been able to get the playfield, backglass and DMD to work together, and if i have a static image and a video image it wont show either?? odd or what.
  18. @scutters +1 for this, ive downloaded version 1.7 and its been a big help. THANKS!!
  19. i know i shouldnt really ask...but im looking for some good quality playfield and backglass images for pinballx ( 1920x1080 ) and im struggling to find a few i need.. would it be un-polite to ask whats the best place to get these as google doesn't throw up many and the various web site dont seem to carry all. I can find lots of B2S but as far as im aware PBX media doesn't really like these hense im after MP4 versions if possible as people say videos are the way forward.... Ive been threw the PinballX FTP and grabbed a load but still missing some. Thanks in adavnce
  20. @Draco1962 i think ive sorted it now, by not using game manager and coping table names ( ctrl c, ctrl v ) to the dmd files they now appear to be working... once ive done a few more IL mark as resolved
  21. @scutters thanks mate for the tip, so ive tried as you said by coping the file name of the table over the file name of the DMD even tho it matched and what do you know...more are now working so god only knows, but i know others have said the file names need to be EXACT so who knows, so ill be trying all the ones that dont work and not use game manager for now. Thanks. ( almost at the RESOLVED point lol )
  22. @scutters r u saying if i just copy the files and rename them exactly as the same as the table name PBX will pick them up automatically without having to use Game Manager? Does PBX look at the DMD video directory then ?
  23. Right i think ive half sorted this out. It appears that you cant have the dmd video or DMD Image your importing in the DMD image or DMD video folder, it needs to be in a different location the game manager then makes a copy in those folders, again it doesn't work for all files but a few do.
