  1. My GameEx crashes everytime i start it, i load it up and when i scroll threw the list it comes up with the error gameex has stopped working, pic attached, mame seems to work ok but none of the rest please help. Ive done nothing out of the ordinary, its just happened. I have cleared the cache files just in case and that didnt work. log attached. EDIT: I have found the epsxe was or is causing the problem, dont know how or why so if any body knows of this problem please let me know as psx is one of the emulators i was looking forward to having in the cab, works fine outside of GameEx but not in.
  2. Thanks for the advise / tips hopefully i can reverse it so the backbox view can be added to the side of the playing field as i dont have 2 monitors on my cab but would be usefull if i do build a pintable.
  3. Thanks guys, all resolved now , basically i set up from drago's link and then obtained some CDI, CDD and MDF format titles, as i still couldnt get the cue files to work, kept saying error, BUT All the MDF,CDD and CDI titles work 100% with full sound, and as celly says "junk" i followed what ya was saying lol. ... so thanks to all ... now to set it up in GameEx Ian.
  4. Hi Adultery, No mate these are not multi disc games, tekken for example has 1 cue file and 13 bin files, the 1st is the largest at about 144 meg the others are smaller ones between 8 and 32 meg, im wondering if they may be some kind of music files as i have read somewehere about audio files, so far games seem to play ok, so im a little stumped myself. Ian
  5. Ok heres my delama, im using epsxe1.7.0 as my ps1 and 2 emulator and want to install in GameEx ( obviously ) but i have found that i can only load bin files and only the 1st 1 which is ok if the game is only 1 bin file long, but what happens when i have a file that is spread over numberous bin files... i have been trying for nearly 2 weeks to get it to work and this is the only way i can get it to work, I can load in the 1st file and it runs so my question is, is it possible to merge all the seperate bin files into 1 bin file??? as im sure i can then make it easier to instal in GameEx, it seems to work ok but how far can i go before a game crashes because of the other bin files??? its odd cos they have a packed size of 0 and the type is virtual clone drive, any help would be greatly appreciated as ive already lost my girlfriend by spending to much time trying to get this working. model 2

ah hay now i know why my sega model 2 emulator plays better on my HTPC, thats dual core, my cab is single core Cheers. SM
  9. Appreciate the reply Adultery. Right so your saying, the simple answer is i need to live with it lol!,its not a major cos once you've seen the animation you dont really need it to enjoy the tables, 1 question thou, is future pinball designed to be used in home built pincabs? I mean if i was to build a pincab can i use a 2nd monitor as the header, or would i have to use that hyperspin thing?. regards. Ian.

  11. hi guys, Im using playing pinball on my cab in 1280x960 my problem is on a lot of the tables i can not see the score or animation as they are held on the backboard ( header ) is there a way to move it so it shows at the side of the table, i have noticed a few tables that do this but cannot find how. Im using Future Pinball 1.9.1 in GameEx ( of course ) which works perfectly. I no the functions give different views but i use view 2 ( f2 ). Any help appreciated. Ian. AKA Simbamame.
  12. Thanks, have put a request in for more MAME slots
  13. REQUEST While Tinkering around with MAME and adding different types of art to MAME i ran out of slots i hade to forgo PCB and rename that to the name i needed...is it possible to add extra slots ( Custom art ) like with the other emulators ?? SM
  14. Thanks fRequEnCy, i know most are covered but i managed to obtain a "score" set and wanted to add them as a seperate show, maybe have to alter PCB to Score instead. Thanks again. UPDATE : yep that did the trick, can alter them to my own titles now. cheers !
  15. what o/s are you running, i have found with windows 7 media centre that Unfortunately it doesn't work with extenders, if tht makes any sence to you?. SM
  16. These are very impressive, very nicely done, cant wait for a full set .
  17. is it possible to have custom art paths for MAME? ive looked in GameEx and it doesnt appear to be able to do it for mame, other emulators have the custom art path towards the end of the emulator settings but not mame?..or is it possible to edit the names of the paths that GameEx shows for mame? Thanks in advance. SM.
  18. LOL, I like that . SM
  19. Because your picture snaps are working i wouldnt say its a codec issue but do make sure you have sharks codec installed just to be safe, and as Adultery said the naming does need to be the same as your roms for example if you have a game/rom called "test" then the snap would be "test" and the video would also be "test", and they both need to be in the snap draw, the reason being GameEx will search the draw for the snap/video and match it with the rom and show it. SM
  20. Hi Guys, Little question, where does 1 get artwork, 3d table pics video snaps etc... for Future Pinball, i see emumovies doesnt cover this in the download util... do i need to personnally obtain from our friend mr Google? SM EDIT: Just checked future pinball site and it seems they've added artwork !! There wasnt there earlier !!
  21. I had this same problem, i re-copied it all to D:GameEx and it worked, dont know if it will work for you but its worth a try, also check to make sure all the paths are correct, 1 little mistake can make all the difference, and try the Setup Wizard to double check. SM
  22. A friend of mine mentioned that almost all new fruit machines / card games / and quiz game machines are all touch screen now, so maybe start with those. Dpnt know of any games and would mame support touch screen yet?. SM
  23. Thanks mate, been a great year and heres to another, will catch ya at the weekend. Ian.
