Thanks, yes i have already got a loader its the zincgui the problem i have is that i have 86 roms and only 2 work, so maybe zincgui is not very compatible with the ROMS? so maybe use a diff emulator but would it be comp with Gameex? I read threw the forums that sujjested deleting the config in zinc i did that and that's how i got 2 too work. lol . Your thoughts?. SM

Having a few problems with zinc its installed in d:emulators/zinc, ive put the roms in zip form in the ROM directory and configured zinc to look in d:emulators/zinc/roms not only have ive configured the default but also the game itself points to the roms directory but not mater what it still says no roms round, ive tried unpacking the ROM in and out of the dir and still no joy, ive not tried in gameex yet as I wanna get it running OK outside of gameex first. Any help greatly received. SM

I guess it does, but it just goes to show how much expertise you guys have, i would have be up the creek not only without a paddle but without a whole boat with out your help, you cant begin to know how grateful i am. sorry for the late reply ok to the answers: Dont ask me why but for some reason we had a power cut and it turned my pc off, when i came back from work i rebooted and checked the forums then checked the ini file and what do i find a created excluderoms with all the roms i deleted there !, i would have thought a restart of GameEx would have done the trick but obviously not, i feel such an idiot now , please except my apologies for getting you to help when a simple reboot was all i should have done in the 1st place. well now im completely stumped ive just updated the list and scramble doesnt show in gameex yet if i run mame outside gammex scramble shows up and runs... i may try a system restore tomorrow if that doesnt do it then im gonna have to go threw the painfull task of resetting mame up . SM

Sir, The game was scramble i was going threw the lst in gameex ( running ) deleting games i didn't play i accidently deleted scramble by pressing delete on my keyboard it said confirm or cancel i pressed enter and it said file excluded or summit similar and disappeared of the list, i had played it about 3-4 minutes before so i know it works the rom is still in the roms folder. And updating my list takes about 45 minutes-55 mins. SM

have tried that but in mame advanced settings there are NO roms listed??

hi, i thought that but my gameExini file doesnt contain ANY deleted file names? ive also checked the mame folder with the ini in and that doesnt have any file names either. sm

Did you update the game list in gameex ( go to mame, scroll right down to update game list ) also get version 0.141 of mame as most roms work better withit, i had the issue that they would show but not work hense gameex wouldnt show them, specially defender and donkey kong SM.

Ive been playing around with daphne ( still trying ! ). The games work outside of gammex so its my configs that are screwed ive download and read some help files from here but still getting the same result you click on dlair blank screen for a few seconds then back to gammex select game list. BTW when playing even outside of gameex i still cannot get a score over on-screen its driving me mad not to mention many late nights. ive attached my log in case that shows summit. SM

ive been using gameex on this system fine for a while today i loadup and all i get is the arcade mp3 sound effect with a black screen???? I have changed NOTHING on my system. Please HELP. attached log file.

i would advise to change your mame version to 0.141 after i updated gameex i was down to just over 4,000 roms showing i installed mame 0.141 and now have over 8500 roms showing, nearly all have high score support except a few. Thats just my opinion though. SM

I DONT Have DIVX CODEC Or FFFDSHOW As an option i have: microsoft rle microsoft video1 intel iyuv codec cinepak by raduis vp60 vp61 full frame ( uncompresssed } ? any ideas, and ive never tried compressing a video down so wouldnt know where to start.

hI GUYS, While fiddling around with GameEx trying to create snap videos for my JNES roms i asked gameex to create the video snaps up popped the compression window i didnt know which 1 to use so i used microsoft 1 did the snaps but no sound ran gameex went to emulators clicked on jnes gameex crashed with a GAMEX has stopped working. on exiting i also found that explorer has crashed and had to exit explorer via the ctrl alt delete end program and then re run explorer all ok, has any one else foound this and which compression mode should i use to make small snaps ( with sound ) as uncompressed one are 703 meg for 30 secs lol ! Can anyone tell me how to get project64 to run full screen from gammex i have tried adding -fullscreen to no avail. It loads the game perfectly but in a windowed screen. Thanks. SM
