hi i have a sega model 2 emulator just called sega model emulator m2.i have downloaded the map file that was posted and put in the maps dir of gameex but still dont know how im supposed to set it up as it doesnt show up on the import list. any help appreciated. sm

lol... yes m8 was ment to be GAMEEX the old dir was games EX but i had another dir called games so didnt want to get confused so called it gameex and deleted games.. and yes the drive letter J is correct.

Sorry for my bad english ok All the mame parts work perfectly its the other emulators that dont work for example daphne give a black screen for a second then returns to game ex, the other emulators tend to give the sort of output you would expect if you just ran it threw windows the screen where you can config the game load a rom etc...

All, Had a bad night my hard drive died on my cabinet ( ok it was an old drive but what a time to happen ) ive managed to copy over a back up i had on the other drive but all but mame dont work, mame works perfectly but all other emulators dont work ive included my log ( im not allowed to attach ini file ? ) if any body could tell me what i have set wrong would be a BIG help, im going to start 1 at a time i want to get daphne then sega model 2 and n64 running 1st cos the kids like those, then jnes nes cbm psx etc.... ANY help greatly apprecated, if any body wants to email me please feel free to do so [email protected] or im on msn. Many many thanks. PS what really pisses me off is that i was just about getting things to work nicely !

I know its not for an external scoreboard, thats what im saying i want to overlay the score on the screen but i have used the -useoverlaysb 2 to the command line and still i get no screen score overlayed. What version of daphne are you using ? im using beta 1.0. SM

Hi, Thanks, yes i know about that but its for external scoreboards that connect to the pc, i dont have one i want to use on screen scoring but although i have Daphne beta 1.0 which is suppose to support it, i believe i may need an overlay file but i cant find one anywhere. SM

lol thanks to mesk for the link to the real score boards for Daphne now i know why my computer crashed when i asked Daphne to use either LPR1 or LPR2 the poor thing didn't know it was an I-pac that was connected pmsl ! Message to myself "why don't I READ the instructions BEFORE I start fiddling! " SM

ah ha right so i need to obtain an overlay lol thanks mesk and Dj To be honest i dont play a lot of DLair or S.Ace L.Gs but a friend of mine was hooked as a kid so its there for them, its a " MAC " multipoint arcade cabinet, lol, and caters for a lot of people which is cool . Thanks guys. SM

hi guys, ok heres a good one for you get a grip with in daphne i have dragons lair and spaceace running works perfect except i dont have a score board,lives, coins, credits etc.... if i select lp1 or lp2 it crashes, ive heard somewhere you need an external scoreboard? is there no way of running a score in game on screen? i run on 2 machines 1 with windows 7 cos i have net access and use that for testing and also 1 in a cabinet running windows xp but may change to win7 as im having problems getting some emulators to run under winxp but work OK with the win7. It started out just as mame and was running a different front end ( on the cab )then i stumbled via utube GameEx and now my cabinet is like a full blown games arcade / retro gaming, with 10s of emulators installed ( still having a few problems ) thanks to the excellence of GameEx. I had a modded wii but forgot to turn connect24 off and now it dont play copies as the nintendo update wipped out the homebrew and gamma loader just dont work, also i think my sccard reader on the wii might be working cos evertime i try to copy a file over it says summit like file might not have been copied ? its 4.2e version and it seems there is no fix for that version unless youve got that lego indiana or smashbrawl brothers which nobody has and i aint gonna pay for it, defeats the object , i used the old zelda hack to do it when it was a lower version but does not do 4.2e so at the mo its just collecting dust SM

AS said use the net to search for the mech you have as i have seen before that a lot of the mech's have a setting to allow any coin to go threw, and still trigger the credits. You might try utube and search for coin mech repair thats what i did before but cannot remember the link. sorry.

Im learning so much about emulators, gameEx etc... on here, i wished i joined the GameEx community years ago! Anybody got a time machine so i can go back in time and join earlier lol !. Thanks for the info about mameclrpro gonna download read up and then run it . SM
