Yeah I didn't realize you had to change anything in the config, I'll try this when I get home from work, thanks

I'm having a problem getting some things to show up. I have it moved into my themes, and the vahalla background shows up, but none of the other images. Example, it shows the console in each emulator but its at the top left of the screen, and none of the character show. What could I be doing wrong

For me I am at a place where I'm content with what I have. I forsee more issues with upgrading that I do keeping it the way it is. The new video changes don't really interest me either.

I'm mostly a fan of fighters to, and I like the scorpion pick, it just stood out to me because alot of the older group weren't into the fighters. Personally I do like it just a thought. I'd also love to see a ryu too

Great theme, one question why Scorpion for Mame. Although I'm a fan of the MK series and I like the pictures, I would think something more often used in the arcade would be a better choice. Just my thought
-
Yes just click on the mame32.exe from within windows or windows explorer, and then you can change the settings, like mentioned above
-
Ricci, was mame were you using on your Dell Axim. I have a pocketpc that I'd love to try out with mame. (cingular 8125). Was it easy to use?

I should have been more clear, I am talking about the new Dead or Alive 4 stick that is for the xbox 360. It has usb as well

I've gotten this stupid thing to work on one computer, but the others it seems hopeless. Before I got into more detail I'm wondering if anyone here bought it and might have some solutions
-
bump anyone know. I'd really like to be able to use this feature for some fighters
-
THis is an old dat I don't believe is supported anymore that is suppose to show a list of moves for certains games specificly fighters. I was wondering if anyone knows if it works with just plain mame32. On his site it says it won't work with command line mame but with mame32 plus mame fx etc. I can't seem to get it to work with regular mame and wondered if anyone else had. I think this would be great for allt he fighting games I had. Here is the website http://home.comcast.net/~plotor/command.html

Networked mame! Cool stuff but can it be merged into Gameex?
stephenp1983 replied to Atari800's topic in General
I didn't read the article much b ut I get the basics. Question though would this work with something like say xmen to where if you had two 2 player cabinets you could actually play 4 players in one instances of xmen? -
That won't work with snes game would it? I mean they aren't really clones there different versions and dumps of the game. I think that would only work in mame. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Guys I updated a couple of days ago to v 6.56 ( I know its not the newest now) and whenever I scroll through games like in mame gameex will crash. It only seems to happen when I'm holding the arrow down scrolling through for a few seconds. I would like everyones opinion and experience here
stephenp1983 replied to Deadly's topic in General
This guy is obviously lying as no current computer can run Gaunlet Legends at level that it wouldn't be choppy. The mamedev's estimate that it would require a 10ghz processor to run the game. I'm not sure about carnival, but the majority of CHD game are harder to run. -
I am mainly after 2d fighters that aren't available on mame. I'd love to add alot of dreamcast games but I'm limited on my HD space. I will check those links out when I get back from the lake
-
Thinking about adding that dreamcast emulator to my list, chankest or whatever. So how well do it actually run? Also if anyone wants to make a list of good 2d fighters available on dream cast that aren't on mame I'd like that too.
-
Yeah I'll probably just hold off for now
-
so I'm still on the 106 build, and I'm content with it, any reason yet for me to upgrade?
-
I know you didn't and I wasn't trying to sound that way either. I just wanted to point out that I go to this forum alot for mame stuff that honest has little to do with gameex itself, and the reason is because of the quality of people and answers you get elsewhere. The sticky is a good idea for that since it comes up alot, I thought you meant about all off topic discussion, but thats my fault for not reading closely enough
-
My two cents. I see alot of questions that aren't related to gameex here, and honestly I have made several. I love gameex and all of the features it provides. For all the questions I have with gameex this board is great about answering them, and very polite. However I have questions about other stuff that I also want answered sometimes. I find that even though they aren't totally related to gameex there are alot of people here that have gone through the same thing and have the answers. This forum is alot better than the offical mame forum where they are rude and disrespectful most of the time. I try to keep my questions related to gameex for the most part, but sometimes there are times that I don't. I appreciate the responses I get on these questions and would hope that I can continue to ask them here.
-
Thanks I totally skipped over the user intereface section
-
Yep I got more So I have my DOA stick using mame, and have remapped all my buttons except 1 the esc key. I still have to get the keyboard out to use it when I'm playing a game. I didn't see anywhere to change it in mame I could be just missing it. I'd like to setup a button for it, tab, and pause if I could. Also I know the answer is probably no to this one, but in games that have bezels on them for example most of the street fighters, is there anyway to remove them and have the game take up the entire screen? I figured it was just part of the game and nothing could be done but it doesn't hurt to ask.
-
Well how would I do this with clrmamepro, I can just download it instead
