We installed it on our work computer for the tabbed browsing(We have tons of windows open and the company's web based software won't work in Firefox). We ran into numerous issue with compatibility. For example we use parature a ticket system, and half of it would not function. IE is still crap imo

I very much like this one. It is nice and simple, yet clean and sharp looking. I really like the wmp 11 look
-
I am not a tekken fan, but I really do like this theme. My favorite part is the menu, its different than usual with the bubble type feel. I really like it good work.
-
Looks good. My personal opinion would be to focus the backgrounds more on the orginal Starwars images, and not on the new ones. Again this is just my perference, and I am sure other would disagree. Other than that looks nice.

I'd love to play some hogans alley How well does it work with a 19 inch crt. I mean how far do you have to be from the tv for it to be accurate.
-
I just figured out a way around this, and I can't believe I didn't realize it before. In mame you can set multiple buttons to do the same thing in the Input General section. So really there is no need for a ctrlr file, as I can set the buttons by the 4way to be button1 and button 2, as well as the buttons by the 8way. I was being dumb lol

You mean controller. I am using a controller Timoe at byoac built for me. It uses the keywiz eco ps2 version. Here is a picture of the cabinet, what I am wanting is to be able to use the 4 way and buttons next to it for older games without having to manual switch.
-
I may get one what are some of the really fun games that it actually does work with.
-
Bump I would really like to know if this is possible, as I have several configs for different types of games.
-
I really like the backgrounds and how you laid out the format. Good job.

I agree I dont know why so many people prefer mamewah or whatever. I believe it lies in that it has a more classic look, and gameex has the media center feel to it. But the thing is you can change gameex to look more classic. Anyway what attracted me to gameex in the first place was the face that it looked more sophsticated in the first place, with the media center type feel. That and the ease of setup are what sold me.

If anyone has interest I have posted a thread at byoac, with some pictures of my cab and the controller. I also included the ss from the themes amos and katuuuz created for me. To see the detailed pictures you will have to click on the photobucket link as I did not post all of them. Please post comments btw if you can http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?...90929#msg590929

Curious where did you find the map image. The on I had was quite smaller. Did you have to resize it any?
-
Its really fine the way it is to me, I just didnt know if you had noticed it
-
Seemed to have found one error Amos, which doesn't really bother me, just thought I would point it out. On the side when you select emulated games the word Emulated Games is cut off.
-
Got it up and loaded amos thanks alot, video works and everything. All I have to do is change it so the correct emulator screen shows, and I'll do that later tonight. Katuuuz let me know when you get a chance to look at the error log

It works fine on my other computer, its because I just reformated I think ive run into this issue before. No major deal as this isn't my cab computer

Alright the version that is on my cab right now is 6.00, and I think I had 6.32 on before I had to reinstall. This could be the reason why its not working. here is the log 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: GameEx: Version 6.00: Starting Log 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Operating System Platform: Win32NT 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Operating System Name: Windows XP 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Operating System Version: 5.1.2600 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Checking for versions of .net Framework installed 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: .net Framework 1.1 Installed 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Checking Registration 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Running Randomize() 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Checking for applications to Launch On Startup 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Initialising Video/MNG DLL's 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Running Misc startup tasks 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Setting Menu types 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Opening Configuration File 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Getting Configuration Values 18:37:34.8 11/7/2006: Using Theme: Default - I probably should upgrade it. I really like the font it gives it the nes font feel. Hmm I seem to have an issue with my computer. I just reformated so my video is screwed up. Now this won't affect the cab computer, but when I play the video in windows media player it works but the color is distorted. I assume I am missing a codec, but when I use gspot it doesnt even recognize the video file. ANy suggestions. For some reason my new post are getting put in my above thread so just read what I wrote above Yep Is anyone else experiencing this issue whenever I do fast reply or add reply its acting like I am editing my post which I am not.
-
I'll let you know shortly, I screwed some stuff up on accident so I am having to reinstall gameex, and redo my emulator configs, I should be done shortly
-
I have Nes, Snes, Genesis, Gameboy, N64, Gameboy Advance, and 32x. I guess just like above except maybe GBA for gameboy advance, whatever you think works is fine.
-
katuuuz, couldn't get the theme to work last night. I was using an older version of gameex like 6.23 so that could be the cause. I will try adding it on my laptop which has the newest version. Everytime I loaded it would crash and give an error log. If I still can't get it to work tonight I will post the log
-
Both look great and I intend to alternate between both
-
You are never going to believe this katuuuz lol. Amos that looks great, katuuuz is also working on a design for me as well. We were trying to come up with a background image and I google the treasure map because its a big part of the movie. I just want to assure katuuuz that I hadn't looked at my thread when I recommend it lol its just a big conincidence.
-
I converted the midi to mp3, and have it playing from my media player playlist instead of the loop. This allowed it to start when I open gameex, and I was still able to stop it if I wanted. Thanks for the responses

Yeah I think the Vs the Goonies and the Playchoice are the same game just in different cabinets. It looked like the playchoice had dual monitors. Taken from klov: Trivia One interesting note about this game is that although it could be found in the PlayChoice and Nintendo Vs. System cabinets, it was never offered for retail sale for the NES in America. The sequel was sold in the US, but did it not keep the same play mechanics.
