  1. Stuff like this is cool to see.
  2. Thanks for the info.
  3. It's clearing the road for a Super Nintendo Classic Mini.
  4. I actually never tried Elder Scrolls Online but I get it.... oh boy do I get it. My drug of choice is EverCrack. I played EverQuest for 8 years, moved on to EverQuest2, switched to World of Warcraft, tried Star Wars: Galaxies and even gave Rift a shot. Every single time I try to get away I always come back to EverQuest. Right now I am on a time-locked progression server called Phinigel. I never got to play from Day 1 so this was a new way to try something I have been playing for 15 years - no mean trick there. Nothing feels like the original. Nothing plays like it. The first 10 seconds sum it up nicely:
  5. No reason to do that... AC/DC is awesome! End of story. AXL ROSE IS AN ABOMINATION! (not just related to AC/DC either) 'Nuff said...
  6. That video could NOT be anymore 80's!!!! When I hear Run DMC I see THIS:
  7. I haven't been able to purchase it yet since I missed the preorders at work but I have been able to use them. I have to say I DO like it. Needed a much better array of launch titles but I honestly think this will be a very nice console especially with the selling point of pick up and keep playing on the go. That part works awesome too.
  8. Old but Gold!
  9. I gave up and uninstalled GameEx completely, rebooted, reinstalled and threw my old GameEx.ini file back into the proper directory. GameEx loads and runs fine now. Had to be something stupid and corrupted on my end with either GameEx or Windows 10. The setup wizard crash is still persistent but that has been opened in a new thread by Draco so I will mark this out as SOLVED by uninstall/reinstall.
  10. Same here. In fact I updated the LAV codecs to the 0.69 today just in case. I was running 0.65. No change.
  11. My startup doesn't even load the beginnings of a menu. I get either a black screen or the GameEx splash logo, background ambiance and... that's it.
  12. Nah I did all that. I'm pretty proficient with my GameEx setup and I'm a computer tech on the side so rollbacks, uninstall updates... I do that stuff automatically. This is either a plugin that no longer interacts with GameEx correctly or my setup is corrupted someplace (I think). I found another weird piece to add - running the full BASIC runthrough of the Wizard is crashes on HTPC/Multimedia Settings. It always crashes after I hit the next arrow on the GameEx Online page so I tracked it down via Custom and loading every screen individually. This is the ONLY setting page that crashes on my PC. I deleted the Setup Wizard and reinstalled GameEx again to install a new copy of the program. Still crashes.
  13. [SOLVED by uninstall/reboot/reinstall of GameEx] I booted my PC today thinking I'd play some games and start my vacation off properly! So I loaded GameEx but nothing happened. Here's what I experience: - GameEx kinda loads. It hangs at the splash screen. My arcade ambiance starts playing but it just hangs there. Not one keypress works. ESC doesnt get me out. Up/Down and enter do nothing so there's no actual menu in the background running. I have to hold ALT-TAB and close GameEx to get out. I downloaded the most recent GameEx and installed over it. Same issue. I changed the layout to a default GameEx layout. Still does it but now I get a black screen instead of the splash logo. Here's the weird thing - if I leave it alone for a few minutes it starts the screen saver and shows me MAME clips like always. I hit a button to go back to the menu like you are supposed to do and it goes right back to blank screen with ambiance. Nothing in the logs looks weird. I re-ran the setup just to make it save the settings again. Files get corrupted it happens. Nothing changed. I'd really hate to uninstall and reinsatall but that's my next step. Does anyone see anything I missed before I go the long way around? I have tried this using Hide Desktop set to HIDE and NO. Both do the same thing. I noticed that either way it is set GameExHideOS is ALWAYS running when GameEx is. I assume that's normal. log.txt GameEx.ini
  14. I agree the XBox 360 wired controllers are excellent for all-around gaming. I only tried a wireless controller once - couldn't get it to work - gave up. I take a pair on vacation with me and use them with my laptop... when I am so far away from my emulation station!
  15. Not exactly HARDROCKDEATHPOWERMETAL!!! or anything but I LOVE this cover. It's almost exactly the cover I had on my Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 CD (yeah I made one of those from the soundtrack list and added a few extra good songs). How can we talk covers without one of the best ones ever done?
  16. Smooth Criminal was one of my favorite covers at the time! Since we're going off-script here... you know who does AWESOME covers and has for years? Disturbed! Most bandwagoners will say "Sound of Silence" was great blahblahblah but what about AND
  17. Wow. I missed this post. That is one sweet looking arcade cabinet. I have a few ideas for custom arcade art for my cabinet but this theme is going on the list.
  18. Most NFL stadiums use the song just before kickoff and at various times through the game (along with a mix of other "get the crowd up" songs).
  19. Ah yes... Green Goblin approves of this rig.
  20. When MTV affected every band on Earth...
  21. I bought it already installed. While I don't know if it is - or ever was - true I do remember reading that the drives apparently had to be specific models when I was looking for one. I opened mine up and it has a Seagate Barracuda ST3250823A 250GB 7200 RPM drive. This drive holds quite a bit. EDIT: Here we go. I thought there was a list someplace. Just sort it by date added. Looks like they can take 1TB drives so good call RedDog. I imagine 1TB IDE drives are hard to come by or you'll need adapters/modified adapter for SATA drives. EDIT #2: I am SUCH an idiot. That's the same link you had RedDog! I should have clicked it!! Stupid me.
  22. If you decide to go with the EverDrive Felix you will absolutely love it. Emulation is great and all(and it is) but there's nothing like the real hardware. I emulate simply because I don't have a lot of space in this house for a collection. I DO have space near the TV for some consoles with one multicart inside each with every game. No room issues and you get to play on the actual hardware. I have Mario Party parties again. I have EverDrives for my NES, SNES, N64 and GBA. I have a PS2 with a McBoot hard drive installed. I'm saving up for the Genesis EverDrive next. I'm also working on getting a Harmony cartridge for my Atari 2600.
