Hello everyone,I have a question and im wondering if anyone else in the gameex community is doing this.(im sure someone is) what I would like to do is have a seperate list of games,like how gameex puts the neogeo and cps games in a seperate list I would like to do the same with nintendo's arcade games.If you can help me,It would be much appreciated.thanks.....

anyone know what a ZIP c file error is?this is what i get when trying to launch a saturn game with ssf,funny thing is this error only happens when going through gameex,without gameex there is no error

or am i the only one?it doesnt matter what i try and play,DVD,ISO,or just plain video files it skips,but only when playing through gameex,when i play on wmp there is no problem at all and yes,i have sharks codec's installed UPDATE"so i tried having gameex use a external player (WMP) which plays the files fine outside of gameex,but when trying to play with gameex it says "WMP cannot play this type of extension" yet they work fine outside of gameex..... UPDATE 2:now this is strange.video only skips when playing on my 50" sony,when i play them on my old 17"crt monitor,they play fine......does anyone have the slightest idea why??!!?!? UPDATE 3:so i can now play video's through gameex,just not in 1920x1080,I have to use something like 1152x864,I thought it may be the video card,but blu-ray plays fine on WMP in 1920x1080,oh well at least i can watch most of my video's through gameex,just not anything in HD.....not that big a deal

of course,it always happens this way.if I want to know something,all i have to do is post about it,and the answer will magically pop into my head

ok first up if anyone is using THIS guide the command line posted there for daemon tools is for the SHAREWARE version,not the free version which is daemon tools lite. and when using SSF,make sure you have the correct virtual drive selected in the options menu,cause if you dont,it doesnt matter if the command line is correct or not,the games wont mount which I found out the hard way

could someone please tell me what the correct command line for using daemon tools lite to mount a iso?i have tried EVERYTHING and i eiether get a mount switch syntax error,or daemon just doesnt launch UPDATE nevermind,it was a stupid error on my part,i feel so dumb i dont even want to tell anyone what i did wrong <--------- ME

I would like to make a request that all ISO support be transfered to either daemon tools lite,alcohol 120,or something besides virtual clone drive.its such a terrible program,it doesnt support all types of files,and honestly,most of the time it doesnt even work

Other then those features you mentioned,kawaks doesnt run them any better then mame performance wise right?

I thought so too,but a most of the games it plays arent in my fav's. mine plays a game with cows with guns first,then a streetball game,then the simpsons arcade,defender---always in this order.not a big deal,was just curious

Is there any way to randomize the preview video's gameex show's for MAME and console emulators?every time I launch gameex it plays the same video's,in the same order

ah Brian,you will be very happy to know that im keeping the playchoice original(minus minor repairs).im going to pick it up this weekend,along with a MKII cab that is going to be my MAME machine.the playchoice cab is just too cool to destroy,plus the fact im a HUGE big N fan,and this cab was a part of arcade history. plus it doesnt seem too hard to locate most of the playchoice games,they are readily available online

@frequency He could know what set he has,I just cant say how he would get that info in the forum if they are showing in mame and not gameex,frequency is most likely correct.it has to do with your filters you could try turning off all filters,then update your list. what games arent showing? I believe by default gameex filters out all bootleg,and prototype games.it also filters out japan,korea,asia,hispanic games ******You did update your list in gameex after setting it up,right?************

Thanks guys.......BTW you were both correct I tried with my already compiled version of mame and it didnt work,so i compiled a new version with the debugger enabled and success!

does gameex show\store hi scores by itself?or do I still have to use a build of mame with the debugger enabled?

Depending on the theme you are currently using,create snaps is usually located on the bottom row of the page that your roms are on

@Hunk Love the screen name! that 4th survivor mode in RE2 was super hard!anyway I would like to say I too like the MAWS\rating idea. But I also must ask again for MAME games to be viewed in a goodmerged style! I cant believe others havent suggested this before!I would love to see all available clones for a game by just clicking on it instead of having multiple images of the same game.Please Tom make this happen!!

problem solved!!!!! it seems somehow the emulator databases were deleted,so i just downloaded the themes\database file from gameex.com,and unzipped them to the emulators folder.

now this is weird.today it seems that gameex has decided to stop showing game descriptions on all my emulated games.this happen to anyone else?
