I too am switching out my P4 cab Pc to a dual core.prolly this week.out of curiosity,why havent you made the switch to W7 yet? when i was running xp sp3,there was ALWAYS problems.nothing but problems.xD since installing W7 I have had 0 issues,havent reformatted in almost a year and half! I got my friend to finally stop using the 12 year old XP and use W7.that was 6 months ago.he still thanks me at least once a month!

its not bug at all Tom.I figured out problem #2.the whole problem was those settings i tried changing (font size,font type etc..) were all set in the theme ini to a specific setting.by deleting them and leaving it blank,im able to make all the changes from the setup wizard. as always,thank you all for your help!

LOL ok for some reason there is another setting inside of enable\disable called "allow window resizing" and that was set to "no" after setting that to yes,i can now change from FS to window,from the set wiz,or just by pressing alt+enter.just out of curiosity,exactly why is that setting there? xD BUT,that doesnt change the fact that i still cant change the font style,font size and a few other options.

no luck.it seems as if changing any setting under display has no effect on theme.i have tried to change the font,the font size,outline of the text and none of those have any effect at all also before 11.84 you could click the top right corner and go from full to windowed.you also could do that by hitting alt+enter.both of those options are no longer avalable

Well it started today,but TBH,this is the first time i have changed settings since updating to 11.84.I usually switch to windowed mode when updating my mame list.and i just updated to MAME 0143 It doesnt seem to be related to the theme im using,i just tried media center,abyss & the theme i always use,blackglass and the result is the same throughout

Heres the thing.if I change the setting,exit out,relaunch set wiz,the setting is what i just set it to,but it has no effect.its set to windowed,but it still launches fullscreen Both UPDATE:when using set wiz IN GameEX,the settings always revert back.using the set wiz outside of GameEX shows the changed setting,but doesnt have any effect

Does not mater if I try changing settings inside GameEX or before its launched,settings are not being saved.I have tried 6 times to change from full screen to windowed,and it just keeps going back to fullscreen log attached log.txt

I was figuring the GBA version wouldnt be suggested.TBH,i think i will play the original FF remake on PS1,then make a decision on FF2!

either on PS1 (final fantasy origins) or GBA (final fantasy:dawn of souls) trying to pick one to play.was going to play the fan translated version of the original famicom game,but from what I can gather,it was a real hack job,misnamed spells,monsters, and bits of storyline. there is also a unreleased prototype cart for the original nes,but everyone knows how prototype games go.... the PS1 version includes FMV scenes,but the GBA version uses a more accurate storyline.and the GBA version has had the difficulty "toned down" which is NEVER a good thing in a rpg opinions? [discuss]
