  1. Update, please read OP. Thanks.
  2. Wow man seriously impressive work! You really are going for this and it's felt! I'll be MIA for the foreseeable future but hope to get back to testing this bad boy soon
  3. @GeorgeT - score has been noted. @GC/Han - discrepancy with the leaderboard - last place isn't pointing to the right place. I don't know how deep it goes but too tired to investigate.
  4. And by gosh did you destroy that! Credit where it's due that was an insane contribution! Can you do more? I'd like to see that!
  5. I know right! When i was 10-12 years old i would have destroyed this board! Now though my habits have become a hindrance, and i'm not sure whether i can be bothered to "unlearn" some skills and "relearn" some others just to get top. And i know i could. I'm sure YOU will give it your all though *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  6. Hello GeorgeT, I've been absent for a few days, i come back and i like what i see! You've been rocking the boat and we like this! By the way i'm Darren/Daz and i'll be following your scores. Welcome to the comp and keep 'em coming! *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  7. Include me in this! Representing GameEx is an honor. Looks like a great comp
  8. And why not?? You get your name in lights (we have our own RSS feed, so with compatible themes you will be scrolled, in lights...) we have Games of the Month comps, an overall leaderboard, member voting... in fact what are we missing?! Why have you not joined yet? tell us
  9. Is this something that is viable? I've no experience with VPM multiplayer - what would need to be done to make such a thing happen?
  10. Hi kents, With a very quick read through, it seems that pressing ESC is not exiting your emulator correctly. This is why it probably works ok the first time, and not subsequent launches. This will happen when your emulator process is left running in the background, but GE thinks it has ended. Any launches thereafter will cause issues because it is still running from first launch - so you're trying to launch two instances of the same emu - bad idea. What you will likely need to do is find out what command/key combination BGB needs to exit cleanly. Once you have this knowledge you can setup an Advanced Config. There are guides on how to use Advanced Configs, so for now just go to GameEx in your Start Menu> Configuration> Advanced Emulator Config. Have a look through the app. This is where you create your advance configs, and very powerful it is. In "keys to send on exit" for instance, you can specify any keys that are sent when you hit ESC. So, if BGB needs Alt+F4 to close properly, enter them keys in that section and ALT+F4 will be sent giving you a clean exit Have a look through it with a keen eye and you can see that it is possible to workaround most situations using an Advanced Config
  11. Welcome to the forums aharu, And yes, you can do that no problem! Load Setup Wizard> Input Settings. Make sure Enable Gamepad/Joystick = Yes. Scroll down to Joystick Input and make sure Enable Custom Jostick Controls = Yes. Scroll down a little bit more and you will find "Global Exit". In the Joystick Exit field, click the "browse" button then press the button combo you would like to exit emu's (make sure to "Clear" the default buttons first)
  12. Heh one of the last great "physical" comics. The guy can pull a million faces and that's a dwindling talent. With his comic husband, Adrian Edmondson, they dominated the 80's and 90's here in the UK. And with respect to all his characters, he will always be "Richie from Bottom" to me. Richie and Eddie's "adventures" were a huge part of my growing up, and i can honestly say that things would've been different without them. If you've not seen Bottom Live, any of them, i urge you to go watch! They contain some of the best improv i've seen (there are debates whether they are written into the script, - who cares?? watch them and decide yourself whether it is planned), Bottom line it is belly laughing good! And you can really see what Mayall is about in them! Least of all his/their obsession with Sue Carpenter! One of the most iconic end credits ever made! Ye will live on in our hearts.
  13. I like the idea, but couldn't see it work - the reason being, that what one may find easy, the other may not. And vice~versa. This would rather hinder an effort to create Tiers would it not? :tea: EDIT - i totally agree though, Dennis and I were discussing about keeping a couple of the hard ones back for a 'Grand Finale' type deal. If we could somehow rate the challenges, what do you guys think of that?
  14. Heh, you know what, everything Den says makes sense, and everything we discussed made sense, therefore, by pure logic, i will back my partner up on what he just said -100%.
  15. +1 - I was so feelin that kind of vibe too... I like the thought of a chaotic comp, people scrambling to get the most kills in the least amount of time, to get to level 3-3 the quickest, to get to £1.000,000 whilst eating an infested leg the quickest... /the random-ness could go on forever...
  16. Should this comp be dedicated to one system? Or multiples?
  17. I made a general enquiry here. Hopefully we'll not only get some interest, but also the guys you/and us want as HS Mods
  18. Hi folks, Darren here from the competition forum. On behalf of the Hi-Score Team i would like to ask your opinion - would you like to see a Pinball based competition? If so, what would the format be, what tables... anything you have in mind? We'd love to hear any ideas you have! Literally anything you have in mind just lay it down - we want to hear it. Thanks, ~HS Team
  19. Actually i think you're right on the money! I've spoken with Dennis about this, briefly in the past. But the bottom line is neither of us are experienced in the Pinball department. So it is hard to come up with a competition that would appeal to pinballers. If you know of any wizards that want to get in on some action then let us know!
  20. I would also like to add that, to save arguments on settings (because honestly you all could ague to the death on what settings should be used) we've always used TG settings, when we can. And on this game we can, so it is romset choplftbl. No if's, no but's. We do this for the very reason you are questioning it.
  21. @ u-man, you realise those buttons buttons are part of the "Mouse/Touchscreen Toolbar" right? If you have it disabled via the Setup Wizard you'll never see it
  22. Bought it, played it, loved it. Check first post for my rundown
  23. Grats man! Def a long time coming this one!
  24. I fought the law, and, I won! Today is a good day in Dazzleville! :D

@tthurman - spot on! on both levels :D

  25. Dangit - first you telepathically beat me to my neon idea and now this! LOL No joke i've been working on a similar but based on the HTC One, creatively dubbed (not) 'HTPC One'. I had to put mine on hold though because of some GE limitations, ie i need the layers that have been rumored for Evo The layout of course though is completely different so there may be room for mine yet Looks good though and am eager to see how this one evolves
