I seem to remember on the xbox version that you had multiplayer, but it seems the PC version, well Steam version at least doesn't have it Shame coz that kind of tourney would've been awesome! There's always streaming of course but, well, making turd jam with your toes is less painful.

ooooooooooooooooooooooo NERDGUSH! *ahem* scuse me, i'll clean that up.

Oh i see! So i'll be able to grab the two i need and gift the rest, sweet! I have an idea Thanks for the info!

You can, using a batch file. Open Notepad and paste the following: @echo offtaskkill /f /im "Steam.exe"Save it as kill-steam.bat or something similar, the name is not important but the extension is, so make sure Windows isn't forcing it as *.txt when you save. Once you have put it in an appropriate place, go to Setup Wizard> Custom> Tweaks/Performance and browse to your batch file in Launch on Exit don't wait. Note: Be careful when exiting GameEx if your last game is a Steam game and you use the cloud sync, because the above command will force it to quit, so if you exit GX too quickly you might interrupt your cloud sync. I've never experienced any cloud errors myself, but then i don't exit games and GX at the speed of a bullet It's just so you are aware is all

Thanks for share Shermo! I have them all apart from Civil War and Excalibur though. @Draco, can you gift individual parts of a Humble Bundle? I thought it was all or nothing? Meaning you can only gift the whole bundle? If you can i'll happily swapsies with anyone - the more competition i have the better

Nice one man! I've been waiting for a reason to no miss this so thanks for that And that 25m with KB is impressive man seriously BOMBS: There are two uses for the bombs - if you use a bomb while normal shot or no button is pressed you will get the standard bomb with max invincibility time. If however you use a bomb while "focus" is pressed you will get the power-up shot with half the invincibility time. Can't wait to see your scores now you can use bombs effectively BTW i also prefer to play with Guard off, but thought it was a bit hardcore and wanted people to come back I'll most def come and challenge you on this! Not sure when as i'm currently playing around 30 games regularly lol but i will, know that i will *Updated OP, DB.

Thanks for share Todd! *nabbed* I was hardcore MK fan growing up, but like null haven't played the latest. After watching quite a few vids of All Stars Racing it does look like it could be a better experience on the PC, being native n all I shall have made my mind up real soon.

I forgot about the focus issue At the end of the Launch On Startup don't wait command, add -silent. so using my example above it would be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe -silent This should force Steam to the system tray instead of stealing focus from GameEx.

First thing's first, don't rename anything, no roms, nothing. Keep all as is or you'll be in all sorts of trouble

Yes, specifically, load the Setup Wizard> Custom> MAME Settings. Enter all the appropriate paths in that screen, load GameEx, go to MAME, hit Update List (it will be at the bottom of your MAME menu). As Tom said you will get much more functionality, titles will be correct and a few other bonuses you weren't expecting

You sorted it? Sweet! I was just about to do a step-by-step when i see you edit your post You're not alone in that people seem to get stuck on the emulator download page, rather than moving on to the emulator setup page, where all the magic is at. At least now you know what to do in future, and i'll second nullPointer - Fusion is good at emulating many systems and you'll be doing yourself a favor by using it when you can

Happy Birthday man! Some of you may meet people in your lives that are all about the no BS - this is Celly. He's forefront, he's blatant and he doesn't give a shxx! I love that about him! You would too if he showed his face round here more often... huh?! Stranger! Hope you have a goodun man... Happy Birthday yo

Hi lighty, One thing you should keep in mind is that when you enable Steam in GameEx for the first time, it will be retrieving videos and artwork in the background. If you have a large Steam collection this could take potentially hours, and you will get a slowdown because of this. If your collection is quite small, and/or you are convinced all media has been retrieved already, there is a configuration you can try, and this is how i run Steam through GameEx. Firstly load the Steam Client (outside of GameEx) and enable "Remember my password" then log in. Quit the client. Load the GameEx Setup Wizard> Custom> Online Game Services. In the Steam section, change Enable automatic login and logout to No. Next, go to Setup Wizard> Custom> Tweaks/Performance. In Launch On Startup don't wait, add the path to your Steam.exe, or use the browse button to find it (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe) What this will do is launch Steam in the background (when you launch GameEx) and log in without GameEx waiting for it. When you launch a Steam game through GameEx it will already be ready (Steam) to go and should be much, much quicker.

Grats man!! You got the skills, you got the knowledge, and you're modest with it. No one is more deserving man, or should i call you boss
-
It all looks tasty to me
-
I don't, never was a fan, but i'm sure it runs in nullDC, and Dolphin too In fact i have vague recollections of it running ok in both
-
It happens a lot man, just keep the faith though. Some demul users are bound to see this and chip-in Wish i could help but i never got on with it in all honesty. EDIT: There is one guy i know of here, who has mass knowledge not only of demul, but lots of the obscure systems/emulators, but he doesn't frequent much any more - that was a pun in case you missed it fRequEnCy - you could try PM him or something but he's the best on here in my opinion - the guy knows his stuff.

I'll never say you're a pessimist that's for sure

clear favorites (changed roms names therefore they dont work anymore)
DazzleHP replied to cnells2000's topic in General
Wouldn't it be easier just to go into each games info page and click "Remove from Favorites"?? Unless you have hundreds of faves of course, in which case i understand why editing the DB directly would be less hassle. -
Ah, i see. So it seems that the ratio isn't the all-defining factor. It's what you will be using it for, and also how many devices will be utilising it - which makes perfect sense really So i guess that's what you need to figure out?
-
You mean, like this?: Man i am so getting my first warning now, if not an outright banhammer Was worth it But yeah you have a point - 1gb RAM per 1TB storage?! Is that a golden rule or something? How did it work when terrabytes weren't the norm? Same ratio?
-
Also, witnessing first-hand what you, Adultery can do when it comes to real servers and such, i would probably take it as solid Gold that NAS4Free is a goodun
-
Yeah, the software side we haven't discussed yet, and i got caught up on the hardware - somewhat hijacked this thread because of that apologies Todd - i gets angry sometimes
-
I know you're right, i was just ranting in a roundabout manner. I put my "Grumpy Old Baxxxxd" hat on for a sec But it get's frustrating when you're trying to future proof your data, and all that you have "acquired", when you have to factor in that 3-years-till death. UGH! Rant over i promise

Yeah, and i think i just had bad luck with WD. My Dad had a drive die on him too within 18 months. I have too switched to Seagate, both internal and external and so far so good, but the best drives i ever had were Fujitsu. No lie, swear on my own life as well all that matters to me, i had one that lasted over 10 years! It was puny - only 4gb, but that thing kept on going Also i had external, that i think was around the time that Siemans took over that lasted 8 years. Why can't stuff be built to that standard anymore?! It all fails within 4 years - not just computer hardware but most electronics it seems. May be i'm showing my age, but there was a time when this stuff lasted
