  1. Nothing in the Emulation world gets preloaded with roms. Nothing. If it does it is most likely illegal. We don't do illegal here. What we do though, is get you running quick! Check the previous posts, take the advice, and you'll be running in no time!
  2. I'm sure you've read something like this: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/04/26/stop_downloading_win10_creators_update/ And ignored it. I did, and so far everything is working as intended. But, even if something did go wrong i can restore my system in 10 mins, you guys can too, right?
  3. I appreciate your frankness! Always. Coming back from a while, I'm not too familiar with the AE version. I'm thinking i should acquaint myself with it
  4. Just my tutorial that i added like 5 years ago. Is it irrelevant or not?
  5. Is my tutorial out of date now? Be brutal, and i will fix it.
  6. See, now even i am confused!. If you are using a 1.39 MAME, with a 1.39 ROMSET, then everything should be fine. If you are trying to run a 1.39 against anything other than the correct MAME then you will get errors. This is NOT a GAMEEX fault! This is how MAME works!.
  7. I seem to have 70 without doing anything, i'm sure you'll destroy mine soon enough Han
  8. AHHH i see now, the vid helped! Like this: What? Too soon?
  9. Hey folks, as you know I've been away with the fairies (and some technicolor pixies) for quite a while, and when I came back, the forum was all a bit alien. I've had to learn my way around again, and adapt to some frightening changes. I was doing pretty well though, i thought! Then I looked at my profile and saw the stat: DAYS WON What does it mean? Who was I up against? Did they/I put up a good fight? I have more than one, so i assume i defeated at least two opponents. What did I win?! Are my opponents OK? I hope they are OK.
  10. Holy shiznizz! Is that a hand sized SNES? Hope the controllers are full size I love that Nintendo keep doing these types of things.
  11. Thanks for reporting back and glad you got it sorted
  12. That's gonna happen. Moneytrain Agreed.
  13. That is actually normal behavior, otherwise you'd have multiple sound sources playing at once, and, I don't know if you've ever experienced it, but trust me - it is death to your ears! The other anomalies though def need to be looked into. My sentiments exactly, hence asking about 2 or maybe more sound chips in system.
  14. Hmm, normally at this point i would advise a codec install, BUT you are running W10 64 anyway which doesn't need it. Could you give an outline of your system, with any specs that you are aware of. The smallest details can matter. For instance: Are you running a laptop? A PC? Does your PC have both an integrated soundcard and a dedicated? If laptop, is it always connected to a power source? Zero audio is unusual, especially if you are seeing vids. I suspect a setting has been overlooked somewhere.
  15. That, i think is the whole point of GX.AE - it's GX 'Streamlined'. For those that just want to get on with it. Edit - "it" being emulation, playing, competing etc. Beating your girlfriends highscore and making such a big deal out of it that she bitchslaps you round the face and tells you that if she was your mother, she would make you go to school in your underpants.
  16. You are kind of vague with your reqs lol same price. You also need to buy the manual shift separately if you want true racing on the xbox. That will set you back bout 40-50 quid. G27 vs G920 = same bit of kit, only one has xbox one drivers, the other does not.
  17. Yes, can you confirm in the Setup Wizard that "Audio in snap/preview videos" is set to 'Yes'?
  18. Hi tglopez, Kudos for posting your log.text, but it would be helpful to also see your GameEx.ini at this point as well. I can't for the life of me find the link, but you can find it here in your system: ...\GameEx\CONFIG\gameex.ini Provide that file and it'll make things much quicker and easier for us to pinpoint your issue
  19. Clone! hehe i can't help myself
  20. TMNT 4 player? We be like "you know NOTHING!" They be like "yah, i know TMNT" We be like "NO! you fekkin don't!" Did you spend your weekly allowance trying to beat Bebop & Rocksteady"? Did your friends spend real money, coz they thought they could help you get to Shredder?? NO! We would blitz through a whole weeks worth of money to end that fekker, and we thought nothing of it. *SIGH* them days are gone i know...
  21. You would know if you had the CarnEvil bug because (at the time) GameEx, and most all other frontends would halt at that point, The reason is that someone (we still don't know who) decided that the 'pipe' character was a good idea. It all boiled down to this in the end: | <--that It doesn't look much but that one character is the cause of much upset, but thankfully, dev's are much wiser now That is why i was concerned earlier, I will conclude my ramblings here and now. You have the best of the best. Use em!
  22. Hay, i'm gonna take a barrel in each hand, and you guys will pick one. Whatever you end up clutching, we will draw straws.
  23. Fekkin hell Draco... you tryin' to find the most Finger Snippin' Good spinner out there or what? I would say though, you got enough power already, if you only want to run PS2 emulation. You know the answer already i feel sell the i5 coz it'll cost you way too much to get a comparable system from that chip (new mobo itself is not worth it for that chip.), tbh you would probably be better off maxing your current mobo, and in the meantime saving for your next bump.
  24. I would have said the same thing.
  25. Seeing as you are working with an old version of MAME, and i assume therefore old versions of the support files, you could well be running into the "CarnEvil" bug or something similar. The old support files often had bad mistakes that would halt GameEx in it's tracks, for no reason other than bad formatting of said support files. This went on for quite sometime if i recall, with many of us providing "corrected" versions of those files. The whole thing was sorted in the end, with a lot of co-operation from many sources. Anything before then is still susceptible to errors.
