  1. "Alys, I think he's going to be more trouble than he's worth!"
  2. That sounds like a Gauntlet quote to me, Legends probably.
  3. That's SICK! The 3D printed cartridges really send it over the top!
  4. It's just that Salon Care 40 is much cheaper and I hear Retr0Brite weakens the plastic.
  5. On the yellowing note, I've been thinking about picking up some Salon 40 for mine, which I intend to leave be since it works, but is horribly ugly. Is this a good idea or should I stick to the Retr0Brite?
  6. @smario I didn't remove the option, just renamed the checkbox for clarity. Should hopefully be all fixed now. Give this one a throw. If it still takes a snap for non-competition games, please post your log. Thanks! HiScore Snapper.7z
  7. Is that happening for all non hiscore games? I run a hotkey monitor in the background when MAME launches a game, and chances are good that when I revised the process that scrapes the Web service I forgot to move the monitor code over too so it's running all the time. I'll take a look, but your results are promising and I appreciate your help!
  8. It's working for me now, although I'm not able to test Model 2/ZiNc, so if you could confirm those I'd appreciate it. I also fixed the web service, which was a server side thing unrelated to this plugin. I also added a game count to the GUI and added the option to enable debugging (there was already debug logging in there, just not a user friendly way to enable it). I did a bit more tweaking in places that were still a little rough around the edges, and got a pretty good performance increase for taking the snap (it used to take a few seconds to snap and render, but now is pretty much instant). Finally, I switched the screen capture command from Direct Draw to GDI for those if you that don't use the Direct Input method. Direct Draw always looked like rat nuts anyhow, so this is a step up for sure. @smario, please give this a try and if it works, make sure it disables for Model 2 games Gracias!
  9. Ahh there's no option in the GUI. I'll add one while I'm looking at the code to see what I may have missed, but I think I have an idea. Then we can figure out why you can't scrape the Web service. Do you have an Internet connection on your cab?
  10. Can you enable debug logging in the plugin and re-post your log for me?Log looks OK except that it isn't parsing the game check online for some reason.
  11. Wow, you just had to bring Gary Glitter into it, din cha?
  12. Hi @smario Try this one please... Although I must warn you, I did quite a bit of optimization to clean up the code some. Hopefully it'll be fine. The worst thing about being a career programmer is you find better ways to do stuff later and come back to your projects and revise them when you're just supposed to be fixing one tiny thing... All in the name of performance.
  13. Is there a Model2 game in the comp or are you forcing the plugin to run no matter what the game is? No matter, I'll take care of this quick. I'll also add an exception for ZiNc while I'm in there. Hang tight.
  14. That might be a quality experience!
  15. It is indeed! With our without the next line, it's all yours!
  16. Yikes, it's a cult classic! On my top 5 for sure!
  17. Perhaps! I don't wanna hold up progress, so your final clue is: What's the next line??
  18. Well, I guess that depends on your definition of a "cutscene". Lots of 8-bit games had dialog before boss (or mid-boss) fights.
  19. Nope, and nope! Here's another clue... Steam greenlit an officially licensed North American sequel to this game last year... and it took 27 years (which is a real shame), but will be worth the wait. Also it hasn't come out yet, but was scheduled for a 2016 Q3 release.
  20. Nah. Think older. Now that I think about it, this one might be a bit obscure for this crowd.
  21. Newp! Here's a hint: The fight after this cutscene takes place in a park near a restroom, and he's armed with a chain.
  22. Last time I had this issue in my cab I had to reapply silver paste to my CPU. I used Speccy to keep an eye on it, which ultimately helped me solve it. Just a thought.
