have you tried reinstalling gameex over the top of the current install also try reinstalling .net 2.0 has gameex ever worked or has it just started doing this?

i have got it working on a 2800+ semptron (64bit) 512mb ram 6200 AGP 256mb gfx card it runs in full screen just not that good realy

its not creating video snaps, its the screen shots of videos in multimedia

the log file i posted is after it crashed. I have just tried to create snaps again now and it does the same thing the log looks the same i have to end task gameex because it sits on a black screen and dosnt create any snaps **edit** i have just tried renaming the videos folder were all the snaps are stored and tried to create snaps and it works the only thing i can think it might be is if it comes across to files with the same name would think make it crash?

il try converting a few to nrg format, although i only want a few saturn games so i will probly leave them on cd

the gameex log file is in the above post, there is 4 files it creates in temp Gameex.exe.hdmp - file is just over 100mb Gameex.exe.mdmp appcompat.txt manifest.txt the last 3 are a like 90kb in size to get this problem all i do is click create snaps it just hangs gameex. i have creates lots of snaps before with no probelms all the files are either divx/xvid or mpeg's the codec pack i have installed is ffdshow and as far as i can tell all videos play fine is there a way of finding out what video gameex is creating a snap of so i can remove the file and see if it sorts the problem?

sorted it got a cue maker and burnt image mounting dosnt seem to work?

Im currently trying to setup sega saturn i have got hold of a game its a rar file containing an ISO and a few WAV files and a TOC file im just unsure what to do with it the main rar file is about 320mb the iso in the rar file is 25mb i also downloaded the bat and autoit "Sega_Saturn_And_Cassini.zip file" but they wants a cue file

no its not mame videos, im just making a picture from the videos i have using create snaps The videos i have tried all play fine in gameex. On the pc i just use it for dvd/video onto a TV, no emulators etc I would check the video if i knew which one it crashed at if it is always the same one just unsure were to start **Edit** after i end task gameex when its crashed it does the send error to microsoft it says the following szAppName : GameEx.exe szAppVer : 1.0.0.0 szModName : hungapp szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

i have resently got some new videos on my gameex pc and made snaps for them after a while it crashed and now every time i try and create video snaps gameex crashes it has a black screen so i cant tell if its a certain video wondering if anyone else has this problem? thanks Michael

i use 1440x768 you will probly want to get a widescreen theme just to make it look better, i think there is only 2 avalible might be more now though

fistly you have to make a directory in a location you want all the videos creating. for a Full set you'l need a fair bit of hdd space then in the config app under Basic mame settings use (video snap) browse to find the folder that you made for the videos then you should be able to make the videos it also takes a long time to create them.

if you open kega cant you choose the cd drive on the menu it should then default the selected cdrom, or does the command line bypass this?

just sumet ive noticed when playing a video in gameex the windows screen saver comes on. Is there a way to stop this without stoping it in windows Thanks Michael

does it work when its not in gameex, i didnt think you could boot a mega cd from a cd

if you have set the video snap dir to the correct place in the emu config then yes i would think it is for reg'd users not 100% what is for reg'd users

i wouldnt bother the new driver tend to be for the latest cards if it works dont tweak i say

in the folder you point gameex to cant you arange the films like Horror --list movies kids --list movies then on the menu in gameex it should show the dvds folder then have sub folders i have done the for TV shows so i would guess it would work for dvds if not i agree with nologic ask in feature request section

i tried your theme while i had wmp9 on and it just didnt play the video it did lag for a second or 2 but still worked just displayed picture background so i updated to wmp11 and all worked fine

I would think it would be very nearly if not impossible to do, without a modified version
