    Help with radio

you could use the control bar at the top use pause it will stop playing the radio station or you could get an MCE remote control gameex has good support for it and u can use stop button on the remote along with all the otehr features
  4. i would try not to have Rom files on your server, 40gb hard drive with windows etc on and a 200gb hard drive with all roms on i pull video files off a server on a 54mb wireless connection and i dont have lag or slow load times to open a video file it takes 5 seconds or so, gameex its self loads within 15 seconds might be an idea to get latest network card drivers and even latest chipset drivers its always worth a try

  8. that works fine and i cant tell any difrence other than cpu usage is barly anything. Would it be an idea to enable this as default in gammex? or would it cause a problem for lower spec pc's?
  9. i dont have game extender enabled but still see 100% (ish) cpu usage nearly constantly i dont see any lag or have any problems with gameex it all works Perfectly just when KSALIGA mentioned it i checked mine.
  10. i have also noticed that when gameex sits on the main menu it seems to stick on 100% cpu usage the only thing that is doing anything in gameex is the animated menu select bar, i have an LCD on my keyboard which tells me the cpu and ram usage this if it do crtl-alt-del the cpu usage drops to 0% on the lcd and shows 00 im task manager my spec is a 4000+ amd 64 and 1gb ram

    Videos

i have a simaler problem making videos but when i set it to make snaps make sure you choose (make video snap not any of the picture options) i got a choose codec window it worked for me if i choose divx 5.05 if i choose any other it just sat there on a black screen it should show the game it captures on screen pritty much instantly it will run for a while then jump to the next, it will take a long time if you have a lot of roms
  12. or get tweak UI of Microsoft web site has auto logon as a feature
  13. is it a windows login screen that you want to login without a key press?
  14. try camtasia it good for recording either fullscreen video or a selected part or window on screen
  15. use command line Fusion.exe -fullscreen "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"
  16. one way you could do this is copy a theme and change the name of it, and replace the backgrounds to the ones you want and then you can move the lists etc around in theme editor saves making one from scratch you have to make sure the backgroud picture is the same size as the original picture before you replace
  17. if you press CTRL- ALT - DEL and run regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon and alter "shell" to explorer.exe and reboot your pc it will boot up without loading gameex up if you cant see the menu on task manager try and press alt - f - n this should bring up run box (worth a try)
  18. ok, heres a way of doing it make a BAT file containing @echo off defrag.exe c: -f c: can be changed to other drive letters this will defrag the chossen hard drive, you can add this to programs in gameex although it runs with no front end it does work
  19. theres a mame bootable disc called advanced mame http://advancemame.sourceforge.net/cd-readme.html i tryed this but it didnt support my graphics card, was a good while ago though
  20. lol you can just use windows defrag not like you need to do it much realy
  21. there are two main codec's DivX and XviD XviD is Probly the best but can be hard to get workin right as there are so many veriants of it it isnt realy down to compression its down to the bit rate of the video, i dont think you can actuly change the compression ratio, i have never seen an option to do this. Obviously the higher the bit rate the better quality picture you "should" Have, this will be down to the Quality of the original source
  22. when i made video snaps i could see a preview of what it was recording this would be the same as what you want on the screen saver?? and also when making picture snaps of Video's
  23. yes it works fine that is some good easy to use software thanks alot headkaze
  24. currently im playing around with TV in gameex and i have had an idea would it be possible to add a section to the menu called tv with options like the emulator options onlanuch after launch on exit etc so people can use there own tv software with a greater control im using wintv and a mce remote im able to use the remote to record tv and playback im thinking this could save (tom) a lot of problems as there is so many difrent tv cards etc and this will allow freeview Sky tv etc on gameex comments welcome
