  1. Can you please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files from right after the error occurs? You may also need to make sure that your are not running GameEx, MAME, and any other emulators as Administrator as this can cause some odd behaviors during write back processes. Thanks!
  2. It may be a full screen setting in the emulator itself. Not sure if there is a command line switch for that so you may have to "google" that setting. Under Windows-Only switiches you will find reference to -v # (with # corresponding to type of window or fullscreen with desired resolution). depending upon what you want to display. Not sure how it all works so you will have to experiment. Add it to the end of the command line noted previously. Example (for 1024x768 DS FULL): zsnesw.exe -v 20 "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" https://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/html/advanced.htm#command_line
  3. Can you please provide a screen capture of your GameEx Arcade Edition Setup Wizard Advanced MAME Settings? Below is what I show (highlighted in green):
  4. For ZSNES try: zsnesw.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" A good resource for popular command lines:
  5. I would strongly suggest opening separate threads for each issue you encounter to avoid confusion for you and us. Also, please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files to each so we can see your setup. Thanks
  6. Look in the Advanced MAME Settings section of the MAME Settings section within the Setup Wizard.
  7. Correct Part of the issue with older MAME builds - I want to say pre 0.197 but it may even be a little later 0.265 is the latest out. As for ROMs and where to find them, I cannot help you other than to say they are out there if you look for them.
  8. Problem with older MAME is that there are some conflicts with newer GameEx. Your version of MAME and ROMs must be the same. If you are mixing new MAME with old ROMs you will experience what you described. Since you are "new building" not a better time than now to update both. I'd just start all anew including the config. Once you start setting things up it will come back to you. You can still reference the old gameex.ini file for specific command lines if need be. My two pence.
  9. Hard to give this kind of advice. Assuming that you will have much newer kit and a more recent OS - at least Windows 10. A few things: - Get the latest MAME version and ROMs. Older versions can be problematic. - Install the LAV filters. Much better than the old recommended Shark007 codecs. - Consider running GameEx Arcade Edition. Derived from GameEx, it is a bit more streamlined with arcade in mind.
  10. Thanks! I like to think that I get more right than wrong and am of help to others.
  11. You may need to alt-tab, then x out of HideOS.
  12. Below is a list of features that may not appear in GameEx or GameEx Arcade Edition Setup Wizard. This will be a WIP as new features are discovered/disclosed:

  13. Thanks, Tom. Still learning what is still functional in Arcade Edition despite removal/absence from the Setup Wizard. Would it still qualify as a Feature request to have it added?
  14. Fortunately I was able to leave the Insider Beta program and received a 23H2 "Repair Update" which was successful. Since my printer is now working, I think it is safe to assume that a beta update was a likely culprit.
  15. Literally. GameExIsLoading.png in the theme's MEDIA folder.
  16. That would be a Feature Request to ask for a Direct Launch Menu:
  17. Appears it is an all or nothing proposition regarding the controls display.
  18. Well, the latest updates to 23H2 are now blocking access to 2 network multifunction printers that were previously working with my laptop. Drivers and related software updated to the latest versions. Beyond frustrated right now. I think that I may jump ship from the insider program as i had it to keep ahead of potential work issues. Since that is no longer needed in the near future, it is a good time.
  19. Log.txt file also please. Also, if you can video capture with sound what you are describing. Thanks.
  20. Please provide new copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files whenever reporting an issue. Videos are typically found in one of three paths. If you want no videos to show, delete the paths in Setup Wizard:
  21. OK, first, why do you need PinballX 32-bit for XP when you are providing a log.txt file that shows you are using Windows 10 Professional 64-bit? If you are running PinballX on a 32-bit XP machine, please provide updated log.txt and pinballx.ini and files related to the issue. Also ensure you are running the latest version of PinballX. Thank you.
  22. Do you have .net framework 2.0 or higher installed?
  23. You are more than a few versions behind and probably need to download and install version 6.07. You are currently on release 5.99,
  24. It hasn't graced any of my PCs yet. I hope it fixes more than it breaks.
