An interesting Anime that was suggested to me on Netflix.. https://www.netflix.com/title/80997338 I'm not sure if you need a subscription or not to view the link, I can't find an English version of the trailer on Youtube to share. I'm currently watching the first episode. It looks like a stylized romance flick but it links the couple together through arcade games. Kinda fun so far. They also added in a few breakaways showing game strategy.

I was born in 1980. I just missed all the stop motion TV shows that existed (Land of the Lost). I can't look past the cheesiness though. Still, if it's got a good story line, that's all that really matters.

I feel like I missed something huge here. You guys talk like Ultraman is BIG deal, but I never even heard of him/it (franchise) till this post. So, I loaded up Netflix and watched the first episode. Looks interesting. I'm not a big fan of the CGI animation made to look like anime. But I"ll give it a chance, added it my watch list. I then hopped over to Amazon Prime to see if they had anything available. They've got some live action shows from the 70's. Is that what you guys are reminiscing about? Looks pretty cheezy to me, definitely not going to pay to watch it. Seems like this Netflix series is a sequel of some sort though. Anything I should watch before going forward with the show, or does the intro pretty much sum it up? You know, an alien being comes and wreaks havok, another alien being comes and inhabits the body of a human to default the bad guy then leaves but the human host has no memory of the experience. Is that about it?

I still love Daisy. -
Well, we've got plenty of time to play this! Updated OP, DB, RSS

Yea it's definitely similar to Anteater. I suck at Anteater and probably won't do much better with this one. I did try playing it a few days ago, couldn't get past stage 2 so I waited on posting a score. Updated OP, DB, RSS

Cool. Do you know if the links already created will still continue to work or will we have to regenerate all of them? Thanks!

That shit is so true. I've worked a few warehouse jobs and I've seen first hand how this works. It's exactly like the way that says. -
It's an obscure game I've never heard of before. Can't wait to try it out myself. Thanks for the submission! Updated OP, DB, RSS Modnote --> I can't generate a short-url for the link back to the game in the DBM. @Adultery can you check this?

This game has won our 2nd Quarter 2019 voting round. I can't really find any good source information about the game, but it looks a lot like Anteater, another fine game in our competition! This game was suggested by @Luigimaker way back on May 14th, 2017. Sorry it took so long to get it added, but lack of participation has really dragged out the competition process. If anybody would like to suggest more games to add, please feel free to visit the designated thread! Happy gaming!

Man, if I had money, I'd build something like that. Can you imagine? Going to work at a place where you can play classic retro games all day, have a bar and ready made hot sandwiches or pizza, and just hang out? That'd be awesome. Of course, getting money would be the first hard part. Then I'd have to buy like 100 TVs, 10 NES's, 10 SNES, 10 Genesis's, 10 TurboGraphics, 10 Dreamcasts, 10 PlayStations, then maybe like 5 each of the newer consoles for the "kids', 1000's of games... That's just for starters. I could always build RetroPies, but that would probably get me shut down for a number of reasons. It's something that would just be awesome to do, but the cost in just the logistics is mind boggling.

It's all all about the money.

A neat new project. We forget how primitive technology from then is compared to today. Me, I'd take a converter and make the RF cable go to HDMI and be done with it. But, as you said, the quality is "meh". I noticed this too in another fashion. I found out last year I could install a hard drive in my "fat" PS2 and then use a "hack" to install games directly to the drive without needing the disc. I thought that was great because my copy of ICO never played right (it was a CD-ROM and not a DVD-ROM, so it used the other laser which wasn't strong enough on the earlier model PS2's). Anyway, I got the "hack" to work and all is good there. The problem is the quality of the video. The way I had to connect it up, since I no longer own any CRT tv's, was to plug it into the RCA red/white/yellow A/V ports on the front of my Home Theater amp. It's really soft, and the audio doesn't even convert to surround even though the game says "Dolby Surround" in the opening videos. I'm really pissed about it. I also don't like how I can tell the PS2 to run in 16x9 mode, but all it does is make a letterboxed 4x3. It doesn't stretch to fill my screen! UHG! Maybe one day I'll figure out a solution.

I remember ad-free internet. It was awesome. Of course, the slow 56k baud modem eating up the phone line 12 hours a day sucked. But back then you didn't need more. Now it's so bad, you can't even trust your own email. My ex-coworker (lives down the street from me) had me come over to fix her computer for like the 10th time the other day. She never had a computer before, now in the last year she's gotten viruses, malware, and very nearly had her identity stolen. Were it not for ID theft protection, she'd be toast. It's far to easy for scammers to take advantage of the unwise. This is a case where ignorance is NOT bliss. Read below to see what I mean: Anyway, click the above for some prime examples. Flying across the internet, in your face ads is becoming so bad, it makes the ignorant people all the more susceptible to privacy issues. You can't be safe on the internet anymore. It's bad and obscene. I hate that these people take advantage like they do, preying on the untrained. Some of us were around when the internet was young and useful before big business came in and commercialized it, we have no problem identifying the bad stuff (most of the time). Now you got these new users with their new computers, who are 50+ years old with a computer in their house the first time, who just don't know any better. I think there's no end in sight. In my co-worker's case, her best bet is to just disconnect. For others, they need to be in a safer environment, like the Public Library, to browse. And then NOT do any kinda of online banking /shopping or socializing (Facebook) on that computer. If you don't want the next user in the library to potentially see your credit card information, don't enter it. If you don't want the guy sitting next to you to see you in the library fapping off to whatever, it's a safe bet it's an unsafe website to begin with and you probably shouldn't be there in the first place.
