man.. just wanted to let people know keeping the emulator at native resoltion will give you big speedups but it looks terrible. Also doing the SuperVU setting helps a lot

my settings for the resolution don't get saved :/ I set it in the .ini and then I use the .exe to choose custom resolution and when I exit and open again the emulator defaults to 600x800.

I'll give it a shot. In the meantime, does anyone know what this multicpu.exe in the Model 2 emulator is for? Is it better than the regular emulator.exe? I have a quad core CPU so can I utilize this?

My MAME section already had CPS sections and Neo Geo sections, I just didn't know the completeness of those games. It would appear I have all of those games for each cab type. The only sections I didn't have were Zinc games and Model 2 games until I set them up.

I appreciate all teh info, but does my Romset already contain the Roms for Zinc and all those other arcade cabs? Also does my mame set have all neogeo mvs games?

I have .153 Fullset of MAME and was wondering if that means I have CPS1 CPS2 and CPS3 games, as well as Zinc games and Sega Model 2 games. I've been thinking about setting up Zinc and Model 2 in my settings. Are they superior to MAME in terms of speed?

I know there's Raiden 3 or 4 on PS2. Thats about all I can think of atm too.

Hopefully lol because it isn't even easy finding these games to begin with. They're so obscure still and 2009 was the last big spike of Taito Type X stuff goin on.

Yeah, but I still think it would be possible I mean stuff like PCSX2 Bonus exists all they would have to do is incorporate it into the emulator. I assume this would be done once PCSX2 gets as good as Dolphin is in performance. Usually emulators focus on accuracy and compatibility then focus on the extra good S**t like per game settings and netplay.

hahahaha! thats F**ed man. Speaking of old things. I think the status of 3DO, Jaguar, Dreamcast, and Original Xbox emulation are terrible. I know that for the Dreamcast and Xbox its because of how easy it is to mod them and play backups. But now we're messing with things like upscaling and netplay and other enhancements that make playing those system via emulation superior like Dolphin Emu is compared to a real Wii (Minus the few games that outright don't work yet).

I have Gran Turismo 4 and I have a 7750HD Radeon + 7660D dual graphic setup and I only get 30-40 FPS and thats with direct 3d9 and at 512x512

You're right about the space thing. But tbh I think that at least for the last generation we'll find a lot of padding in the ISOs and ROMs like the DS and PSP does. Hopefully we'll also develop a form of compression to compensate as well (still waiting for this for PS2 ISOs). I also think emulation is getting better because everything is basically a computer nowadays. Makes it much easier to code for I would assume.

omg lol that sounds so terrible. That kinda pisses me off to hear they don't work consistently. I just deleted BlazBlue Calamity Trigger because the game graphics are missing entirely when I get in game. I can get AH3 to load and quit just fine in GameEx it just looks so crappy in 480p. And don't get me started with Half Life 2 and Silent Hill..... That really is disappointing. A few great gems on these lines of cabs.

Somehow the loader.exe that ran Contra Evolution keeps getting deleted when I run it through GameEx. I put the directory in my antivirus exclude list. Another game that I have issues with is Arcana Heart 3. It loads up in 480p but I'm pretty sure theres a way to change it because the loader lets me choose the resolution but it doesn't load in the resolution I choose. I'm just using shortcuts so idk why or how my loader file keeps getting deleted

That's exactly what I've been thinking lol I'm sure Dolphin will become an ultimate GCN/Wii(U) emulator in time. SuperFX games like Star Fox were seen as impossible to emulate at one point, now its not even an afterthought like of course you can emulate SuperFX games lol.

Also having your resolution at 512x512 helps a lot. For some reason if you do something like 512x512 or 1024x1024 PCSX2 seems to like those resolutions and runs better from what I've heard and tested. I have a 766D intergrated GPU and even that didn't really run PCSX2 all that great. I have it Dual Graphic'd up with a HD 7750 Standalone GPU and it runs so much better but I still get slowdown on some games.

We live in a day and age where 3DS, PS3, and Xbox 360 emulators actually exist and are being improved on by multiple people around the world as we speak thanks to things like github. I've read the post on here from forever ago about these games and let me start my saying I know exactly how to get the games set up to run on with the shortcuts and stuff. But some things act very strangely for instance Contra Evolution HD will load up and behave fine until I get in game and if I walk to the right my guy disappears and the screen moves to the right really fast and its like my guy runs into the enemies on screen as its running to the right and theres NO WAY to play the game when this happens. I havent messed with the controls whatsoever because they are premapped and non configurable anyways. I do have Mapping off process close Alt+F4 in the settings though and was wondering if that could be whats making the controls weird.

Oh yeah. I got one and it was so poop using my finger. lol Well I have other arcade games that I need help running right on my menu should I start a new thread or do it here?

Oh damn, I though something like Cave would have been top priority since I hear so much about them games lol. No wonder iOS ports were so popular!
