Yeah I know about the heating issue that arises with overclocking. But I'm not trying to overclock it much, like I said my CPU is supposed to be safe at 4.2 GHz I wouldn't need much more than that. I'm kinda more interested in overclocking my GPU. I tried that msi afterburn program and if I remember right, that program didn't work well for me either. Gonna try the 3DMark 11. I am planning on buying a new heatsink/fan for my CPU pretty soon.

I know this isn't exactly GameEx related, but it kinda is because I'm trying to overclock my CPU so my emulators run a bit better like dolphin and pcsx2. I have a BIOS thats made for it, I just don't have a clue on what anything really means lol. I got this easytune program my motherboard came with but it screws me over big time when I use it. My CPU apparently automatically overclocks to 4.2 but whenever I'm monitoring it it says 3.8. and if possible I'd like to overclock my GPU as well. Just wanted to bring to your attention that I've made changes to my first post and have a download available for scrutiny and use.

It will not have Wiiware. I think a separate database would be better. Also I would do those as well if you think I should. I'm only doing the Wii because databases for the Wii already exist. I'm basically copying over all the info from an xml from gametdb.com to my database.

Just as the title says, I am going to be making a nice database for the Wii that will include English games, how many players, descriptions, genre, publisher, developer, Release date, the Wii's Game ID as GoodName so for people like me who use a real Wii on the side, there will be no renaming required or MAP files required so there won't be filename conflicts when you try to load your ISOs on your Wii. (The Wii requires the filenames be the Wii games internal game ID for it to recognize and load them). Be ready. I am going to use this post to keep track of what I've completed so far. That would explain why when I try to play the game it says I'm missing ROMs. Is it really that important to update mame every time its updated? That kinda sucks when you compile your own build lol. Also, I'm pretty certain that I have dupes off and casino games off as well.

I noticed I have a huge amount of games in my MAME list just called Players Edge Plus. What's going on here? I have show only parent roms on. Can I get rid of it somehow?

Congrats bro! I have been a member of this forum for a long time but was never really active until recently, and you helped me out quite a bit getting set up with making Video Snaps and helping me get Contributor status on the Emumovies' forums. Nevermind.. I ended up connecting multiple plugs into my graphics card while outputting through my Mobo. Then once there was a plug in it, it registered as a source of output. So I had to plug a DVI cord into my graphics card and hook it up to my tv while it was hooked up on HDMI through the PCs mobo. Once I did that the pc registered the DVI and I made the DVI my primary output and switched channels to the DVI. Then I had to unplug my HDMI from my Mobo and put it into my graphics card and then make that my primary once it registered. Very poopy way of doing it but it worked.... I was sitting here all day messing with stuff before asking for help lol.

Alright, so I somehow managed to mess up which input my display comes out of. I have intergrated graphics but I also have a graphics card I've been using thats way better. All of a sudden now my PC will only output through the motherboard not the graphics card. And no the graphics card isn't broken I got it to work fine but accidentally messed it up to display through the mobo input again and amd catalyst and windows wont let me use my graphics card let alone show that its there. :/ this really stinks.

I was worried about that too. I've made hundreds of edits to various db3 files and it seems GameEx only replaces those I havent made edits to. All my PS1 data is there for example but doesnt have the new fields/sections when I edit it. Whereas my Sega Master System db3 has the new fields in it (because I haven't made any edits to it yet). But in any case I make regular backups.

Talked with Riffman and I made a topic on emumovies. Also turns out since you're trying to record Wii at 60FPS I'm of no use to you, at least in the Wii department. My signature on your forums has my PC specs. I can do PSP, PS2, and DS for ya though! and btw I have literally all the time in the world to do this. lol

Yeah Dolphin has gotten really good. I only use my Wii to play stuff like Star Wars Rouge Squadron 2, Turok Evolution, F-Zero GX. I really can't afford to be a supporting member in that way. GameEx was basically a gift to me lol. But I can contribute by helping make some preview videos.

Hey man, I just want to clarify I wasn't hating or anything. I actually really REALLY appreciate all the stuff you've done. Like I wouldn't even be doing any of this stuff if your site didn't exist. I just noticed that you had stuff like Wii and PSP videos in your news added and when I looked for them and didn't find them I was just like "Hmm.. Why wait when I can make my own?" But now you are aware that I want to contribute in making some preview videos for the Wii (and I already made a couple for PSP) this makes things easy. How am upload to your ftp? Or however your process is? lol

Don't mean to be a douche and triple post but does anyone have any suggestions on some good software for capture devices because the software I have is bogus (GrabBee)

Seems I'm going to need to invest in a S-Video cable for me Wii. The Composite looks fine, just not great. Funny thing is my TV doesnt even have S-Video support so the cable will only be of use for recording lol.

I will probably have them uploaded to multiple places for ease of access. But I'll definitely bookmark that PinballX page for later, still got to make the videos first lol.

They already have some Wii preview videos on their site its just supporting members only that can get it. And I'm more of an open to everyone kind of guy. (though I can understand why its being done that way)

As the title says, I'm planning on making a bunch of Preview Videos for some Wii games (since there aren't any available to the public on emumovies) and a few GameCube games. I happen to have a capture device and an actual Wii to record from so I can make some flawless preview videos (no emulator slowdown or glitches). Would I be able to share my videos on here? If so, where? I just wanna give back to the community.

My screensaver/Attract mode is now unstable because of being unable to close the Dolphin emulator down and makes gameex crash. The log I provided above should contain the info of that. If not I'll upload another for you guys to look at. You've all been a godsend.

How well does that work? Compressing the PS1 ISOs I mean. Does it take a long time for the emulator to load them? Because I have a LOT. and most are in bin/cue format the others are like img and mdf. Also, what is this DTONE Loader plugin? Google provided nothing I could find as significant. I would like to save some space lol.
