Looking nice. I have alot of systems I would like to see: Atari 400/800, 5200, 7800, LYNX, Atari ST, Intellivision, Odyssey2, PS2, MSX, TI-994/A, Bally Astrocade, Channel F, Colecovision, Commodore Vic-20, C64/128, Amiga, Visual Pinball, Future Pinball, DOSBox, PC Games, Spectrum, Daphne, Sega 32X, Sega CD just to name a few If you look at the list of emulators under MESS there are quite a few. -
I'm running the latest MESS on Win 7 Home x64 and it runs very smooth and nice. He is correct that you can have the games anywhere, but you need to have the bios in the same directory or you will get errors. I tried to keep them in seperate folders but kept getting errors so I put the bios zip files in the games folder and set that in MESS and they run fine.

Hey Tom getting random images/snaps under Most Played as well as favorites. This is why I wanted an option to disable from displaying under those 2 menu items. I like 10.42 because that version doesn't do it. Also the background image is back when I switch from say my Atari 2600 background and go back to main menu it doesn't display back to the default image.

Your bios should be where you put the software/games at. Just put them in the same directory.

Very nice indeed -
Well I am using rom filter of: *.rpk and my command line is: messpp.exe ti99_4a -cart1 "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui depending on what version of MESS your using it might be just mess.exe instead of messpp.exe Hopefully that gives you an idea of how to setup. If you look at MESS website they tell you all the commands to use for each emulator (Ex. Under Device ... Instances ... that is the command line option to use for the specified filetypes).

No longer need WinUAELoader as I figured out how to run Amiga games via the *.uae method.
-
Still having the snaps show up under Most played and favorites. The background images appear to be fixed.

Feature & Enhancement Requests

Ability to change fonts types, size and color under each emulator option/selection. -
Well under the last played is fine, but under most played and favorites it just looks wierd and it just displays random images. On 10.53 it didn't do that but with 10.54 it does. As I was also saying about the fonts if the only color you can use is white it makes using the background image almost unusable because alot of cool background images that are out there make it hard to see the white fonts.
-
Just adding and enable/disable option would be nice under the display would be nice Oh well for now I guess I'll go back to 10.42 since it doesn't do it with that version. I know this is off topic Tom, but can it be possible to change the font colors/size under each individual emulator? The reason I ask is because some of the emulator background images make it hard to see the fonts because they are white.
-
10.54 broke the snaps showing up again under the main menu like last game played ect all I want is just the icon to be displayed not the snap as well.

Nice I like the black theme better. I'll give it a try ALso do you support alot of other emulators in your theme like TI994/A or Fairchild CHannel F, MSX ect I use alot of the emulators found in MESS and would like to see a theme that supports alot of those themes. -
When switching between emulators the background image doesn't restore back to default when exiting back to main menu. It will only restore back if you run a game under whatever emulator selected and exit the game and return to the main menu then it restores to the default background image.

What is the command line to run WinVICE crt images as mine doesn't work. Mine is: x64.exe -fullscreen -autostart "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" and my ROM filter is set as *.crt
-
Now before I did a different method to run my Amiga games now that I upgraded my computer it doesn't work So looking for an easy way to run my Amiga games, but I have no idea on how yo use WinUAELoader as it seems too complicated to me to setup unless someone can explain it to me in WinUAELoader for dummies (haha)
-
Give this emulator a try as he just added fullscreen option so it runs nice with GameEx. Get the beta version all the way at the bottom of the page. Works great using Windows 7 64bit http://www.virtualdub.com/blog/pivot/entry.php?id=294&message=Your+comment+has+been+stored.&w=phaerons_weblog#message Command line in GameEx should look like this: Altirra.exe /f "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"

For some reason I setup the latest version of MESS using the Apple ][e emulator and it works fine within MESSUI, but when running it in GameEx it doesn't work. My command line is as follows: messpp.exe apple2e -s6d1 "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui And rom filter is *.dsk But it just resets back to GameEx. It seems like probally a bug with MESS.
-
Anyone have a good image of the Bally Astrocade system I can use for a logo.
-
Yeah same here. it switches back only if you slect and run a game then exit back to gameex and go back to the main menu then the background switches.
-
Future Pinball doesn't need a wrapper just use the command line: "Future Pinball.exe" /open "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" /play /exit and Rom filter of *.fpt
-
No there is a theme called kab.net used to be called mikeade.
-
Yeah I don't like the snaps on the main menu only in each individual emulator is great !! Thanks for all the hard work on GameEx Tom as this is the best Frontend on the market in my opinion UPDATE: 10.53 fixed the problem!! Thanks Tom
