MESS site still has the parameter for the apple2e listed wrong.

I thought I asked this before. I was trying -flop when it is -flop1. Thanks for finding that previous post as I thought I had asked that before

This used to work but since redoing my config it doesn't work anymore

Anyone get Apple IIe using MESS to work with GameEx? I tried the following command line, but it doesn't work as it kicks back to GameEx as soon as it runs: messpp.exe apple2e -s6d1 "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui

Hey Tom I noticed when I use the GameE config program and try the options under the Text/Language and edit the Laserdic games to say Daphne it doesn't show up under GameEx when you run it it still says laserdisc games. Am I missing something here or does this feature not work?

Hopefully because I don't want to go thru this again. Just make sure you have a backup of the GameEx folder Update: Very nice Tom K-Lite codecs work again Thanks!!

I can't remember how to disable the GameEx logo when starting GameEx? Been trying to re-config everything (slowly) after the fatal config crash

Well at least I'm not an isolated case as it appears to be happening to others as well. Hopefully Tom can find what is causing it and squash this ugly bug.

Yeah not much you can do Tom as it is very hard to figure out what went wrong. Oh well I needed to clean it up anyways. This time when I get it all done I'll backup the entire folder.

What I mean by it erased my settings as GameEx has gone back like I just installed it and all the emulators are blank and I have to config all of them all over again. Hmmmmm not very happy right now I have a backup but it's an older one and I still have to tweak some of the settings. Don't ask me what happened Tom as my system is virus free and it happened just like I said. I was playing some games in GameEx and exit out and when I double clicked the advanced configuation program is erased everything as all the emulators and other options are all blank. Go figure...

You have got to be kidding me!! I just got done playing GameEx and went to run the Advanced Config program and it erased my GameEx config. All my setting for my emulators are totally gone now. WTF ........ I kid you not that has to be the most worst thing ever now I have to set it all over again!!!!

Well I tried that after installing K-lite codec mega pack and it crashes again. Actually it get about 10 sec into my video then GameEx crashes. Uninstalled the codec pack and GamEx works again.

Well like he said the video plays but as soon as it ends or you skip it and go into GameEx then it crashes.

AVI format. Not sure about log, I get the windows 7 window that says GameEx shutdown error. When i uninstall the codecs, GameEx runs again.

WHat is the best codecs to install on Windows 7 x64 as I tried Sharks007 and K-Lite and everytime my intro video plays when I launch GameEx it runs but when I skip it to enter GameEx then GameEx crashes and I can't run GameEx unless I uninstall the codec package.

I tried installing several different codecs out there and GameEx crashes on startup. When I uninstalled the codec packs GameEx works. Not sure what is going on except I'm using Win 7 x64 bit version not sure if that has anything to do with it as I never had these problems using Win XP. Right now I can play videos in GameEx but there is no sound not sure what is going on.

For some strange reason when I run Quake 2 thru GameEx it runs ok, but when I exit the game it returns to my desktop and never back to GameEx. I have to click on the GameEx icon on my taskbar for it to return. Quake and Wolfenstein 3D don't do that. I can't figure out why?

Yeah I saw that. I was a little hesitant about using the theme editor as it looks kinda hard to do but after messing about with it it seems quite easy to use. Will probally give it a shot with it and see if I can make a theme using the MAMEWah layouts.

Can anyone who knows how to create themes make a MAMEWah converted theme using the images from this site: http://cpviewer.emuchrist.org/mamewahlayouts_bw.htm They have just about every emulator pic and would make a good GameEx theme.

Ok Tom got it so here it is look at the ZX Spectrum and Sega Genesis 32X. The X has a wierd little line before it.

Easier said then done as I am using a wireless keyboard that doesn't have a print screen key. I'll figure it out and get back with you.

Speaking of which. What is the best free screen capture program out there for windows 7 x64 that will capture fullscreens. I found one called JShot but wonder if it's any good. Soon as I find one Tom I'll post it
