  1. Nice job Tom! Well I have another issue with some cabs spinning around sometimes the side art on the image is there and when it spins around the next time it is all black and then back with the side art. Example is Crystal Castles.
  2. Looks to me like it's a lightgun system basically with some bad games. Just an observation from the videos that I saw. Followed the steps they said to get it to work and it just crashes on Win 7 x64.
  3. Has anyone got ActionMax to work on Win 7 x64? It crashes on my system

    Dolphin

Real Wii or Gamecube is the best, but if you have a high end PC it will run really good on the games that work.
  5. This is what I'm looking for, but needs different backgrounds for each emulator then this would be a great theme!

    Sorry guys!

Sorry I didn't mean to get off track here with the HyperSpin and other frontend talk. I really like GameEx and that is why I paid and continue to use/support it as Tom has worked hard on improving it The reason I even brought the topic up was to inspire or even possible to add these kinda themes to GameEx. Hopefully one day as GameEx is a great product and will continue to even get better especially with the great support we have in this community. Thanks again to Tom and everyone in the community!!
  7. I have to say I really like GameEx better after messing around with HyperSpin as it's a pain the butt to setup. What a shame as the eye candy is really cool to look at, but not worth the time you have to spend to set it up as GameEx is a no brainer darn near to setup. Just wish we GameEx'ers had more eye candy for our themes After setting it up and running I've been kinda bored with the Kab.net theme as it is lacking background images for my other emulators, but I do like how the Daphne image looks on it.
  8. You mean 1920x1080 Well Hyperspin is no easy task trying to setup as it is a bit more complicated, but I did get MESS emulator working with it, but takes way more effort than one would like to spend I'm sure. However the rewards are better when you see it in action with the eye candy!
  9. Well I been looking are other peoples systems on youtube with Hyperspin and they do look awesome! The one things that GameEx really needs is some Awesome looking HD Themes 1920x1080 for those who setup GameEx on our HDTV's. Slowly some users are starting to work on some, but they lack the visuals and emulator content as they just have the basic range of emulators out there compared to HyperSpin. Granted so far setting up GameEx is really been quite easy and with the hard ones the community has been awesome on helping us out on getting them up and running. I've actually just recently just installed XBMC and Hyperspin and gonna start messing around with them as I have GameEx all setup and running everything and I am getting bored now unless some eye catching theme comes out, but for now I'm gonna start messing around with these 2 and see how they turn out on my system. I don't have an arcade cab, I setup GameEx on my High end PC connected to my 47" Vizio HDTV in my GameRoom. I could never play it on anything other than a large HDTV again as it is awesome playing games on it. Maybe some day my wife will buy me my arcade cab for x-mas, then again prob not
  10. Well instead of using PC Database why not use a map file ([PC]Games.map) and name the PC Games the way you want. If not sure how to do it just move and rename one of the other map files changing it's extension from .map to .txt then edit it in notepad. When you save it just make sure you save it back with the .map extension. Here is an example of the contents of the map file: BF2.lnk|Battlefield 2 ect..ect.. So the first file is your .lnk (or whatever the filename of the PC games you are trying to run) files and divided by the "|" then the second is what you want GameEx to display it as. Then enable/select your map file under your gameex config for that emulator (PC Games). Hope this helps
  11. very strange just seems like it stopped working, because I know for a fact it used to work. I haven't done anything different with my system besides upgrade to 11.09 hmmmm not that big of a deal, but was a nice feature. Don't know why it doesn't display anymore thou. I tried even re-installing 11.09 and no luck
  12. hmmm mine no longer works, but I can adjust it just no visual. I was looking if there was an option that might of got disabled, but didn't see one for that.
  13. Tom did you remove the onscreen audio display when adjusting the volume within GameEx as I no longer can see my volume control when adjusting.
  14. Thanks for the info guys as the short names works like a charm. I just went in and renamed all of my folders and it works great!
  15. Do you have to use the short name for the directory where you put your scumm games at? I have ScummVM running fine, but my games are put in a Games folders where each game have a long name for the game (ex. f:\scummvm\games\Beneath A Steel Sky). Will I have to rename each folder for it to work in GameEx?

You should e-mail Hugh Hefner, Tom and tell him you'll come to the mansion and personally autograph it for him Just make sure you take some pictures/video and share it with the rest of us!
  19. I learned something new as well. Works great!! Thanks for the info Now I have Dreamcast up and running perfectly (Sweet!)
  20. Nice! I just actually stated to try NullDC recently and it works great by itself, but I will give your script a try out and see what it does on my system UPDATE: Your script doesn't work at all ... starts nulldc then exits back to GameEx then my screen went black. My dreamcast games are in .gdi format if that matters at all

    Shh!

DOSBox is a breeze to setup under GameEx. I'm using D-Fend Reloaded frontend to setup my DOSBox games and use GameEx to call up the config files to run the DOSBox games and it works great!! Might want to re-think that and add it
